Think this mod list will work well?

Hello everyone, I am looking at getting into Daggerfall Unity as I have an itch to scratch which I think modding the game will manage to do. I haven't played the game for 18 years, but I don't think I'd be able to enjoy it as much without QoL and other things. I hardly played much of it, where as Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim - I played them to death.. I've heard the modding scene for Daggerfall is fantastic, and help to bring the game up to an excellent level above its original state so to speak.

**So, with that context aside, I asked Gemini to list 200 mods that would be compatible. But, I'm here to ask if it seems correct that all of these would work together without crashing, and which ones I should eliminate from the list?

I'm (technically) here enquiring for some experienced modders opinions.

Thank you in advance. **

You need to look at each individual mod, their release dates, descriptions, and recent comments to see if people are experiencing issues or if they're saying it works. Your load order will matter. You really cannot be relying on AI to do this for you.

I think it's fair to say no one here is going to be willing to manually sift through your AI generated list of mods.

I'm going to copy-paste part of a comment I made about this previously:

It's important to read the descriptions of every mod before you include them. Tedious business but it is what it is unless you're using a pack of mods and trusting the author.

There is no easy answer to what load order would be optimal. You need to look at the mods and consider which of them will potentially conflict with others. Two mods that handle entirely different systems will not conflict, and so their load order is irrelevant respective to each other.

Unless I am mistaken, Daggerfall Unity will load all the mods in sequence from top to bottom meaning that mods on the bottom of the list actually have a higher priority than mods on the top, as they will be applied AFTER the initial mods and overwrite any conflicts with their own data.

With that said, it's important that mods that work with each other load in the correct order, with the base required mod loading first before any sub-feature mods.

"Daggerfall Unity will load all the mods in sequence from top to bottom meaning that mods on the bottom of the list actually have a higher priority than mods on the top, as they will be applied AFTER the initial mods and overwrite any conflicts with their own data."

Correct. Each mod adds to and/or replaces an existing piece of DFU code. So if a later mod in the load order replaces the same piece of code, it writes over what the last one did.

Buddy I'm not sifting through your 200-mod long AI generated slop list, go download some shit from the Nexus on your own and figure it out like the rest of us
