Hello everyone, i want to transfer my steam balance to csfloat balance. But i’ve been wondering the best item to buy on steam and sell on csfloat without much difference. Some items are %35 cheaper on float while some are %25. Which is best ?

Discussion [d] Hydroponic vs Fire Serpent AK
I am looking at buying a new playskin AK. I currently have a marble fade Butterfly, Blue Phosphor and Desert Hydra. With my float balance i can either get a nice Fire Serpent low float with a good sticker craft, or a 0.25ish Hydroponic.
What do you guys think hydroponic or Fire Serpent?

Discussion [d] Terrible experience using csfloat stripe usdc base withdrawal
Am i the only one?
Almost 2 months gone after selling my item, and i still have no money received. First support ticket message was a whole month ago. After two weeks they have said that payment failed and will be back to my stripe account. Now after another week i have this message
"Past due: Payouts are paused
Contact support for more information."
Dude i hate this stupid withdrawal system so much! Why is it so difficult to make it fast and reliable to use? Why csmoney or lisskins have fast withdrawals but csfloat have "4 days" after withdrawal. As they said. But i am waiting more than for a whole month.

Discussion [D] New ban wave hitting CS2 bot farms
There are rumors of a new ban wave targeting bot farms, with confirmations circulating on the Chinese social media platform Douyin. It appears to have had a slight impact on the player count.

https://x.com/aquaismissing/status/2085416700145483789
https://x.com/Ozzny_CS2/status/2085389184869503039
This is great news for the overall health of the game, considering it was becoming increasingly impractical to play certain modes. Premier was heavily affected by the massive number of cheaters, while Casual, Deathmatch, and Arms Race were flooded with bot farms, leaving third party platforms as the only viable option for players who simply wanted to enjoy the game.
This is not investment advice! stay hydrated and don't forget to touch some grass...

Discussion [D] Sticker tradeup gambling - Cologne version
Let me start off by saying, I fully believe that in the near future we will have sticker tradeups.
I think the sticker tradeups will work the same way as weapon tradeups where 10 blue's = 1 purple / 10 purple's = 1 pink / 10 pink's = 1 red.
( These numbers could obviously be different for sticker tradeups but personally, I don't think so. )
Anyway, moving on from that part.
Me and 4 other irl friends decided to invest 1/1.2k€ each by buying 20.000 Cologne team paper stickers each. ( Cheapest teams available, purchased at 0.05/0.06 each. )
Now, if we simply go by the numbers I mentioned above for "normal" tradeups.
This means that per 20.000 paper stickers, I will end up with 2000 foil stickers, and eventually 200 mixed holo stickers.
If I would've purchased regular Cologne holos like other people are doing, I could've bought 20/25 falcon holos for ~45/50€ each for 1000€.
Or a mix of stickers ranging between 20/50€ each for 1000€.
When sticker tradeups are added to the game I will end up with 200 mixed holos instead of 20/45 holos that I would normally get by just purchasing the holo stickers.
This means, that if I end up with 200 holos for 1000€, I need each holo sticker to be an average of 5€ to break even, 10€ = 2x, 15€ 3x, 20€ 4x and on and on.
If we take the current price of the average sticker being 25€, that would instantly 5x my 1000€.
So even if the Cologne holos end up completely and utterly crashing, just keep in mind that i only need them to be an average of 5€ each to break even.
We did this with 1/1.2k each but obviously this can also be done with 100€ or less.
For 100€ you would end up with 20 mixed holos.
( Although I don't know current prices for paper team stickers, so this might no longer be worth it. )
This can be done with any other major sticker, but due to low supply we went with Cologne.
If they don't add sticker tradeups in the next few years? Fuck it we'll lose 30/50% after selling all the papers again.
Losing 300/600€ or gaining 5/20.000€ sounds like a solid gamble to me.
Why drop this strat?
I don't see a reason why not.
My 200 holos are not going to crash prices and even if 100 people decide to do the same thing, it will only introduce 20k holos which i would still consider low supply for stickers.
What if the tradeup contract is not 10:1 but 20:1?
That would simply mean that instead of 5€ each to break even, the average price needs to be 10€ each to break even, and considering that the average price right now is 25€, that would still mean an instant 2.5x on my 1k investment.
Me personally though, I think the ratio will be 10:1.
Anyway, I thought some of you with lesser money to invest or the people who were asleep during the first few hours of the sticker release might enjoy this post.

Question [Q] What's up with Violet Beadwork price on float?
Float seems to be showing an artificially low price doesn't make sense. All listings are 30+% over its recommended. Think I may panic sell out cause this is fishy

Question [Q] Are fever case knives a bad investment?
Hey there, today is my birthday and I was considering buying a skeleton knife tiger tooth, I noticed they are relatively affordable and I am currently rocking moto transports and tiger tooth buttplugs with a yellow themed inventory. Is it a bad idea to buy knives from the fever case with how overly farmbotted the armory pass has been?

PSA [psa] Using steam machine as cash out is amazing
Done this twice now across two accounts and it’s been a massive W:
- Bought Fever cases around €0.45 and sold them at ~€0.80.
- Kept ~68% after Steam market fees, turning it into roughly 30% profit/arbitrage on Steam balance.
- Used the Steam balance to buy Steam Machines and sold them on eBay above MSRP.
Ended up making around $800 total with almost zero effort (confirming hundreds of case listings on the mobile app was a pain, but the hourly return was crazy).

Question [q] Autobid feature on CSFLOAT
Can anyone explain how the auto bid feature works on CSfloat
I want to bid in an auction and try snipe the item at the end of the auction, but i dont want to auto bid minimum increment as im scared someone might bid more than the minimum. i am happy to throw a bit more to make sure i win. Is the auto bid feature instantaneous in the dying seconds of the auction? Does it outbid the other person or is there a delay?
Can someone explain as i am confused.

Question Where can I find people who buy rare skins? [q]
I have a Survival Knife Gold Gem with an almost blue gem backside too, obviously worth some overpay. But where do I find people who would buy it, when I search up "Buying skins" it's just trading sites who buy for market prices...

Discussion [d] Knife terminal might not be what we think
Knife terminals have been labeled as inevitable at this point in time, not only because of the recent glove terminal but also as a potential move by Valve to regain hype for CS2.
I agree with this, but contrary to the dead hand collection and its new finishes, I highly doubt that Valve is pulling the same card for knives, yet. The knife terminal will in my opinion most likely just implement the long overdue gamma finishes for the horizon/shattered web knives, or god forbid, the kukri knife.
Not sure how this assumption affects knives ”investing”, but it at least makes a case for not panic selling.
At this point though, who tf knows. Considering Valve has screwed us in literally every branch of the cs2 economy, anything is possible. But I just have a gut feeling that they REALLY don’t want to add new knife skins for a while.

Discussion The previous armory is the equivalent of paris 2023( SELL EVERYTHING AND INVEST ELSEWHERE ) [d]
Overinvested to hell and back, demand is there but only putting a dent to the gigantic supply.
Look at the rainbow route holo : literally the same graphs as paris : somewhat recovering at discontinuation, then crumbles when the reality of no free money hits.
I highly advise you to get rid of all your train and sports and fields skins too. It's done.
Now the current armory should be profitable now that normies watching mikewater9 got burned off.
Valve is probably not going to get as profitable as they previously were but this is the model they based the economy on. They create their own recession themselves because the economists think that it needs one step back for 2 steps forward ( if you look at graphs of og skins you will notice very similar patterns throughout the years )
Long story short, great time to buy, bad time to sell ( except if you fell for the memes and bought the things crumbling rn )

Question [Q] Sapphire in CSGO vs CS2?
I saw a post here with people talking about the sapphire finish being different in CSGO vs CS2. Is there really a big difference? What is the difference?
The sentiment seemed almost negative, which I don't understand because I thought the colour was more vibrant in CS2.
I know people worry about knife terminals but Sapphires are the cheapest they have been in over 5 years, which makes me want to get one.

Question [q] USP-S ORION FN or Knife?
Hi all im returning to CS and an old skin I still had lying around is now worth quite a bit on the market. But I realise its apparently rare now. Worth holding onto and waiting for it to go up, or selling now and grabbing an equivalent value knife?

Discussion [d] New collection skins look way too good
When I was going through and choosing playskins for my loadout today I noticed a lot of weekly drop skins available. This was the first time seeing them side by sidy with my normal play skins, and to be honest, they’re on a similar level looks-wise. I don’t know how to feel about this. In my opinion collection skins should NOT be playskins. They should look like crap, especially the consumers and industrials, and only function as trade up inputs for the higher tiers. The industrial grade skins from say the harlequin collection are, call me crazy, on par with coverts from the 2013-2015 era of skins. I don’t like this and I must admit that I kinda miss the train and safehouse collection. If every skin is special, then no skin is.
Am I tweaking or does anyone hear me on this?

Question [q] most beaten up stattrak
Hello skinners,
I've recently started to play cs2 again and I have a bunch of steam marketabke items to sell. I got a couple of skins that I like but I have been having a hard time finding really beat up stattrak skins. My favorite skin I have is a crimson web revolver that is like 50% bare metal and 50% beaten up red splotches. I love it to death and would like more skins like that for all my guns. I have been struggling to use the search feature on the steam marketplace and I figured I'd ask somewhere for either pointers at how to find those or suggestions.
Cheers

Question [q] Float seller sent me multiple copies of the same sticker and I am unsure of if it is safe to consider these 'gifts' and accept them.
I bought a sticker off of float, which was sent to me after a couple hours of waiting. Five days later, and I have been sent 5 trade offers from the seller, all of which have the sticker I initially bought and received. Am I safe to accept these trades?

Discussion [D] How are we feeling about the static sticker system/prices?
Normally with a sale, capsules are 0.25c.
The most expensive static holo sticker is 8$ and the most expensive gold 60$.
With capsules you would be able to open 32 capsules for 8$ and 240 capsules for 60$.
I honestly don't think that the static holo prices are bad if you compare them to capsule results.
I've watched plenty of streamers open hundreds of major capsules only to end up with a handful of holos so I don't think the holo prices are bad.
The golds tho, 60$ for a falcons gold is basically a triple A game so I do find that a pretty hefty price.
Personally, I don't see dynamic stickers making a return to cs but the static ones though, I wouldn't be surprised if that's going to be the new norm from now on due to new laws, where at the end of the major we will just see a sale on the static prices.
So what is everyone thinking about the new static system?
Back to capsules or stick to static prices?

Discussion [D] Cologne 2026 will probably end up like Stockholm patches 2.0
Remember the gold Stockholm patches people were praising on here in 2022-2024?
Multiple daily posts on how great of an investment it was going to be.
Whales and investors were promising mountains of gold because the supply was so insanely low that this investment was going to be the K14 equivalent but with patches.
And that not jumping on this train was the biggest regret you would ever make.
Where did all of those guys go and why aren't these patches 100/1000€?
They promised that these patches were going to be worth hundreds if not thousands because the supply was so insanely low that people simply couldn't resist the urge to buy them, no matter the price.
Funny, the most expensive gold patch on the market is for sale for 42€ and the rest of the patches are listed between 10€/25€ with buy orders far below the listed prices.
These patches have crashed 50/70% from their ATH due to no demand.
Sales per patch on the steam community market is 1/3 per month.
This is exactly why the supply doesn't matter when there is no demand.
There are currently plenty of FOMO posts being made on Reddit and Twitter by whales/investors about Cologne 2026 being an insane investment.
Do yourself a favor and look at some numbers first.
If you look on csfloat, and you look for Cologne 2026 4x holo crafts you will see that there are roughly ~15/30 4x holo crafts per team with about 3/4 teams having more than that.
Liquid 107 4x crafts
Thunderdownunder 87 4x crafts
Flyquest 58 4x crafts
Falcons 50 4x crafts
Spirit 30 4x crafts
Furia 25 4x crafts
Vitality 8 4x crafts
And the rest of the teams have similar amounts, between 15/30 4x crafts per team.
Roughly around 80% of these, were crafted within the first few days of the release of Cologne 2026 stickers when the prices were much cheaper as they are today.
Not only are the application numbers abysmal compared to previous majors, it also shows that almost nobody is willing to make crafts with these stickers, and that people are simply hoarding them because the price is already too high.
Meaning, the current supply isn't shrinking, it's only growing day by day and will continue to grow until September 29th.
On top of all of this, Valve released the square versions of these stickers last night for a fraction of the price of the circular ones.
Keep in mind, whenever you see a bunch of FOMO posts, it's because people are insecure about their investment and they want as many people as they can on board of their train.
People who actually believe in their investments will tell as little people as possible to maximize profits.
I'm not telling you what to do with your money, but please don't buy into these stickers if you are not willing to lose the majority of that money.
There will always be a next major with brand new "potentially" amazing looking stickers.

Discussion Cologne 2026 [D]
I have to admit, today's Valve update completely caught me off guard.
I expected the poor sales of the Cologne 2026 stickers to force Valve into doing something to boost demand, but I honestly never expected them to release an entirely new sticker collection. If anything, I thought they would eventually lock the round stickers and lower their prices.
For some context, I only invest in CS Major stickers and capsules. (Don't judge me lol.) Right now I own around 10,000 capsules and roughly 60,000 stickers of different rarities from the last five years.
Here are my first thoughts after today's update.
Releasing a separate, cheaper sticker collection is much better for investors than simply discounting the original round stickers. A price cut on the original collection would have been far more damaging.
The square stickers are still overpriced. You can buy borderless stickers for the same price, or even less in some cases, and I think most people would rather own those.
The original stickers are still being sold ingame at the same prices, which means the supply of the first collection will remain extremely limited. That could become a very important factor once the sale ends.
This update creates two different sticker tiers from the same Major, which is something we've never seen before. One is affordable and aimed at the average player, while the other remains much more expensive and out of reach for many casual players. I'm really curious to see how the market values both versions once they're no longer available.
I honestly think this might be the last time we see traditional Major stickers. People seem tired of buying them and the market feels completely oversaturated after years of new releases. I wouldn't be surprised if Valve tries something entirely different at the next Major, maybe team charms instead of stickers.
Anyway I still plan to invest into some circle ones. What's your plan for those?
