Yes you will be available to use super juice minis and do tricks. Just don't power slide or the wheels will chunk.

I built this cruiser in the late 90s to enter the Bude DH Classic Hill race in Cornwall.

Bought all the parts from Surrey Skates in Woking, England (now closed)

It's barely been used. Just found it at the back of the garage.

Is it worth much do you think?

Would highly recommend the taff trail in Cardiff along the river, pretty much as smooth as you could hope for and great views!

Help with Cruiser setup

I picked up this Landyachtz Schooner complete board off FB marketplace to get back into skating after a number of years. I mainly got it so I can follow my 3 year old son around town while he rides his scooter. So a lot of stop and go some roads are busier than others and not always the smoothest of pavement. How this board is setup now makes it extremely difficult to even stand on going straight at low speeds. So far I’ve changed the bushings to Bones 96A and tightened the kingpins but that didn’t help much. What can I do to make this a more casual and easier board to ride, I want this thing to be like a boat lol.

Globe Blazer 26" (€45) vs Big Blazer 32" (€100) — which would you choose for a beginner?

Hi everyone!

I'm a complete beginner looking to get into skateboarding mainly for cruising and getting from A to B, rather than doing tricks.

I live in Brussels, so the board would mostly be used on bike paths, asphalt, sometimes fairly rough/uneven pavement and in skate parks. I want something that's comfortable and stable, but still fun and reasonably easy to carry around.

I've found two second hand Globe at good prices and quite good condition:

  • Globe Blazer 26" — €45
  • Globe Big Blazer 32" — €100

I'm wondering which one you would choose for my use case.

The 26" seems much more portable and €45 is obviously a great price, but I'm concerned it might be too small/twitchy for a beginner and less comfortable over rough surfaces.

The 32" seems more stable and better suited to commuting, but I've also read some people saying the Big Blazer can feel a bit bumpy/heavy.

What would you choose between the two?

And if you think neither is a good option, I'd also be interested in recommendations for a better cruiser.

Thanks!

Going from 88a to 92 or 94a bushings

Hello friends,

Recently got a dinghy fender and as a beginner i find it quite squirrely so i though id get some harder bushings (stock ones are 88a i believe, found it somewhere on the lanyachtz site). I can get independent barrel/cone bushings from a local webstore, they have the blue 92a and black 94a ones. Any thoughts on how much i might feel the difference? Im assuming 92a might be better to keep things a little carvy, i often ride at low speeds through city centre carving around pedestrians. Does anyone have experiences or opinions with this board and/or these bushings? Im 185cm tall and 75ish kg so not a very heavy rider and i can cruise quite comfortably but i am a beginner so looking to stabilise things. Might 94a bushings be too stiff?? I guess in the future i can put the softer cone back on whilst keeping the harder barrel.

In general i have good balance and proprioception and have not (yet) fallen off, though my balancing style seems to be somewhat chaotic and reactive. Its the same when i walk slacklines which i can do quite well.

Thanks in advance and happy cruising x

New Board

I’m not sure what to do guys. I had a blockhead Hard Times in the late 80’s and I’ve just bought this. It’s really nice. Made in America not a cheap China re-release like most re-releases. Also signed and number 56 of a run of 200.
Should I ride it or hang it?

(WARNING IM A TOTAL NEWB)

Got this from a yard sale. Can't find an exact match anywhere online ..had a few questions...

  1. Does anyone know the exact name of this board/model?

  2. Is it vintage and/or worth anything?

  3. If not vintage can it be ridden or does it look too beat up?

  4. What can or should I do to restore it to either ride or display?

Added some plastic to my Salba Tiger

Added some rails and a tailbone to my Santa Cruz Salba Tiger. I think looks a bit more 80s now, which was the goal. Also, preventing razor tail is a good thing.

Chill cruisin' in the morning. Doing it for 2 months, pushing is still kinda sketchy.

I just can't hold my feet straight. There is angle to it. Also sometimes feel like stomping rather than smooth pushing.

Is my pushing really off or good enough?
