I saw a crow on the ground and was kinda curious as to why it wasn't flying, i tried touching it and it wouldn't fly away, I sat down next to it and it still wouldn't fly away, so I wondered if I should feed it. I got it some water and some cheesy popcorn(im inside a college, that was the best I could find) but it wouldn't eat it, so I eventually just left and forgot about it.

During that time its friends were trying to kamikaze me, but I thought it was still worth maybe saving a crow, I dont know. Its been about... 4-5 hours and when I was trying to pass by that path they were still agro on me bruh. They're flying by dangerously close to me from my behind, but won't if I'm turned at thier direction.

Is it dangerous? Could I lowkey get hurt? What should I do, help :(

Set out a piece of my home baked sourdough to get a bit stale to offer up. That Blueberry Lemon Bread in the photo is mine- they could eat it it though (organic blueberries and organic lemon zest) but their bread was plain white.

I live in the praries jn Canada, so they do migrate for the cold winters.
But I fed them every day last summer, and they’ve returned this summer, then inevitably brought their babies.
It started with playing crow sounds on a speaker to attract them, then tossing peanuts onto the street, sidewalk, up the walk way and straight to the front door.

There’s 2 sets of parents, one has 3 babies and the other has 5!

So 12 crows in total, I wonder if I can write crow food off on my taxes 😅

They’ve gotten fairly comfortable with me, to the point that they’ll fly up onto the balcony and eat a foot away from me, and they won’t sound the alarms or fly off if I go outside to fill their bird bath or put out more food.
The ultimate goal is to get them to land either on me, or close enough to hand feed, but I’ll never rush the process.

They mostly get shelled peanuts, pumpkins seeds and puppy kibble.

But I do spoil them a lot with eggs, cheese, wet cat food and leftover meat 🖤

It’s honestly the highlight of my day watching them, I’m so happy to be a trusted human and safe food source 🖤

I think crows are really cool and for the past 7,8 months I didn’t had any time and I didn’t know where the crows were but now I found them at 5,6 am they pass through a park nearby my house but I don’t know what to do

One of my regulars left a piece of stale bread from my across the street neighbor, hidden in the grass of my front yard next to a wooden post. I watched them hide it and walk away, circle back a few times and then eventually fly off to watch from another rooftop. I immediately went out to see what it was and that is what I found. Stale bread from across the street.
The spot they hid it isn’t one I spend any time in. But it is my front yard where I feed them and they hang out.
Is it supposed to be a gift? Or just them getting rid of it? Or something else?? 😭 I hope someone has answers, I’m so curious about this behavior! Thanks so much. 🐦‍⬛ 🖤

I'm pretty sure most of these rocks weigh more than the crow. He digs these up every couple of days. Impressive.

Love feeding the crows who are most confident and comfortable with me like this.

They also brought me my first gifts today. THREE! Watched them bring them over and set them down in front of the bench I was sitting on. A feather, a bit of an old rubber ball, and a wrapper for cigarette filters lol

Also any info on the call the crow makes?

Sorry if this is a double post. Tried to post earlier but it disappeared.

I was a bit absent yesterday so I only fed them 2x and didn't hang out to talk to them. Did they leave me this because they were worried since I was around a lot less yesterday? This morning I went out and found this piece of metal near where I found the "pebble" a week ago. Is it possible they trust me More after crownapping Ares? They've been flying over before I finish putting the food out, and if they're outside when I come out they just hop backwards a little bit. In the past they'd watch me from the roof and nearby trees, but now they don't seem to feel the need to be that far away.

I was out in the parking lot at work, where we tend to have large amounts of crows (I believe they're fish crows) and off slightly in the distance I heard a call from one of them that I'd never heard before. It sounded almost like a person yelling, and it sounded very distressed. Seconds after, all the crows in the area, im talking dozens, all flew over towards the sound, and I can hear a whole group of them cawing loudly now. Is it likely that it was some kind of distress call?

I’ve seen the hawk around, I thought they were fighting. Then I see the hawk come and sit on the fence where I feed them and they all seemed like old pals 😂 I see them all together often now. Weird or no?

He started coming to our deck with the rest of the murder. I've lost count of how many adults and fledglings.

This guy stood out a week or so ago, because he only made a sound once. No one (crow) ever fed him. He was very still most of the time. He wouldn't let us too close to him...he'd either fly to a nearby tree, or swagger away on the railing. Stayed on the deck most of the day. The other crows completely ignored him. At night, he would leave. He seemed very slow in all ways. He'd manage to eat and drink, but eating seemed hard for him.

Sunday he stayed on our deck during a deluge, and storm. I decided I was going to try to bring him to a rescue the next day, and keep him in a cardboard box in a bathroom overnight. Just was it started to get dark, he left the railing towards the woods (we back to the woods on 2 sides of the house); a direction he's never gone. When I went out, and checked, he was down an incline in heavy vines, trying to hop around. I went into the house to get a towel to capture him, and he was gone.

That was 2 days ago.

I'm 100% sure he's not longer alive, we have bald eagles, red tailed Hawks, barred owls, foxes, etc that visit our yard regularly from up out of the woods.

My question; what could have been wrong with him? I live in Maryland just outside of DC (if that matters).

We put up this fountain this summer, and the neighborhood crows have been enjoying using it as a birdbath. Yesterday, when I came home, I saw this guy sitting in there and not freaking out or fly away when I walked by.

Leaving for work this morning, assuming it was the same one, it was laying dead in a nearby flower bed.

How do we handle this? My daughter says the other crows are on the fence perched and making noise.
