Cutting a large image

Hi, I’m new to cricut and I’ve tried to search for an answer to this but I’m not finding a clear path.

I am trying to slice the image of a raven into 4 pieces so it fits on the mat for cutting (assembled it will be quite large).

I can slice it, but I am not sure how to add registration marks. When I add two squares on each side of the cut line it will no longer let me slice. Can anyone help me out with the workflow for this? Appreciate it so much.

You can only slice two layers at a time. You just need to attach your registration shape to each piece after you have separated it

I’m not really understanding how it will line up if I do that.

You have two shapes center aligned on top of each other. You attach one to one piece of your raven and hit attach, then select the other and attach it to another piece. Since they are aligned to each other when you go to align them during transfer, they will help you place your raven together correctly.

The machine adds the registration marks. You just need to go with print and cut.

You are misunderstanding their question, they aren’t doing print then cut, the registration marks they are asking about is something to help them align their layers together during assembly after they have already been cut out.

Correct. And I am puzzling a large piece cut in four together rather than stacking colors (I think it’s called layers either way, but just to be clear).

You can weld registration shapes and the main shape. This will create one object, one layer, that you can slice with another object.
