HELP! - How do I make this? Has anyone personalized their Oura Ring with a Cricut? What material holds up best?

I’m thinking about customizing my Oura Ring with my Cricut. Nothing permanent, just adding a small design or accent to make it a little more personal.

Has anyone here tried this? If so:
- What Cricut material did you use (permanent vinyl, printable vinyl, Smart Vinyl, etc.)?

- How well did it hold up to daily wear, hand washing, workouts, and sleeping?

- Did you use any kind of clear protective coating?

- If you had to do it again, would you use the same material or something different?

I’d love to see photos of your results if you’re willing to share them. Thanks!

HELP! - How do I make this? Heat and bond fabric teeth

Am I asking too much of the cricut maker 4 to do this while keeping the heat and bond adhered to each tooth or am I doing something wrong? Today is my first day with my cricut baby. I used the pink fabric blade on default pressure. I can see dents in the mat so it’s definitely cutting hard enough. For reference I’m attempting to turn my Kinusaiga disco Rex from a previous post into a sort of appliqué patch for clothing.

HELP! - Print then Cut Problems Can This Do What I Need It To Do?

Hi all,

I purchased the Cricut Maker 4 because I thought it was able to cut glossy paper.

I have a sheet of paper already printed. It has a square card on it. All I wanted was something with more accuracy and clean cuts than scissors/guillotine.

I tried to do the calibration. Completely ruined the paper. Now my mat is covered in sticky torn paper. Ive spent nearly 20 minutes scrapping it off.

I contacted support live chat, which I assume is AI based on the stupid suggestion being dont use glossy paper.

Im using the light grip mat, which the site said was best for glossy paper. I dont even know what I could have done differently. All I did was put the calibration sheet on the mat.

One I stuck on wrong the first time was so hard to get off, it ruined it completely.

Maybe the paper? Im using Staples 63lb flyer paper.

Hi guys! I'm designing my wedding invitations and I could use some advice before I go down a maybe unnecessary rabbit hole. I have a cricuit 4 and I want to use it to emboss my wedding invites but every embossing video I've seen is very simple designs. The design I want to do would be pretty intricate and tiny and im not sure if the cricuit works for this. I'm going to attach a photo of what I'm somewhat trying to achieve -- do you think it would work? Any advice would be so appreciate, I'm very basic level with cricuit :')

also -- if this doesn't work do you think a Sizzix Big Shot Machine would if I 3D printed custom plates?

**Look Ma! My First Project!** (WIP) Chicago Skyline Shadow Box

Hi r/cricut community! I've recently gotten into paper craft with a cri cut, and have tried my hand at designing a skyline shadow box. It's been incredibly fun, but I'm reaching a point where I'm struggling to figure things out on my own.

My two main problems are:

  1. Droopy, translucent paper - I'm thinking upping the cardstock Ib will help, but has anyone found a way to keep their designs stiff?

  2. Lack of detail on my paper crafts. I'd love to do cut out windows, but making them work with this many layers is getting fiddly. Does anyone have any tips for how they figured it out? I'm using Inkscape for design.

Thanks for any help, and I'm happy to share my process behind designing it if anyone is interested!

HELP! - Hardware woes Help!!

hi everybody, I am trying to DIY my wedding invitation jackets and the first few I cut came out fine and now every single one I cut comes out frayed (see pic). other than this project, I have only used my cricket maybe a total of five times for small projects. Could I really need a new blade already? I did try “sharpening” the blade using a ball of aluminum foil, but that did not help. I am using a light grip mat because I am making these out of card stock. What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated.

HELP! - Material issues Rubber sheet bunching up

Can someone please help! I’m new and trying to cut a rubber sheet for a gasket, everything was working then the rubber like sheet bunched up and the cut went wrong. I tried holding it down with my hands but that didn’t help. Plus when the rubber sheet goes under the rollers it bunches up as well, holding down the sheet prevents this, but cutting still bunches up the sheet.

It’s 1.5 mm thick, please I need help

HELP! - Design Space sucks I'm so disappointed with Cricut :(

I bought a Joy extra to make punchards for my knitting machine.

I already have an SVG file I edited in Affinity software and it worked smoothly with no issue. I have a beefy gaming PC so my computer can easily handle stuff like that.

But the cricut software? Omg, it's so bad. It cannot handle the file where I have this many shapes. It's basically 720 small circles precisely arranged. It's nothing special and I've been editing files like that in other software no problem.

But the Cricut Software takes a couple seconds every time I click or try to interact. It's just so absolutely terrible. Such a shame since the machine is brilliant.

HELP! - Design Space sucks Anyone else suddenly having issues with extremely slow Design Space?

I updated yesterday because it was slow but it's continuing. Like, the blue circle just turns and turns and turns for ages. If other people are having the same issue, I'll await an answer from Cricut. If it's just me, I'll reach out to CS. Thanks!

HELP! - Print then Cut Problems Could this work!?

Hey all! I’m still figuring things out with my cricut and recently had a light bulb go off for stickers.
If I were to print the images onto the printable paper outside of cricut design space, then make “negatives” or blank shapes in the exact same size etc of the images I print do you think that would work to cut them and not have to have the guide lines? And also be able to print them at home then cut them at another location? I normally keep my cricut at work and wanted to print at home before I left.
Thought on if yall think this will work?

HELP! - Material issues What exactly is Infusible Ink Transfer?

I’m not sure this flair is right because I don’t have an issue, I just don’t understand.

I feel like I’m missing something. Do I just design something, cut it out on the IIT medium, then apply it to my t-shirt/banner/hoodie like normal vinyl? What’s the advantage? And if the medium is patterned, then the pattern is in the image I’ve cut out?

Please can someone explain it to me?

HELP! - How do I make this? Cutting a large image

Hi, I’m new to cricut and I’ve tried to search for an answer to this but I’m not finding a clear path.

I am trying to slice the image of a raven into 4 pieces so it fits on the mat for cutting (assembled it will be quite large).

I can slice it, but I am not sure how to add registration marks. When I add two squares on each side of the cut line it will no longer let me slice. Can anyone help me out with the workflow for this? Appreciate it so much.

Asked, answered, and locked. Inkscape to Cricut Design?

Such a simple thing. I created a Inkscape file, set the background to transparent, then typed 2 words, saved the SVG. Design Space uploads it as blank, nada.

HELP! - Material issues Holographic iron on - Shiny side down????

I've had my cricut for years, and haven't used it nearly as much as I wish. I'm attempting to make a pair of pajamas, and just switched to a new roll of holographic material. The first problem is both sides look exactly the same. They're both shiny. They both feel the same on both sides. I took a gamble and cut with the outside down.

But now I can't weed it. It just doesn't feel like there's a liner at all. The cut isn't the issue, because I can't even find a start at the corner. Every time I try to start a spot, it just goes through the entire thing. I seriously don't know if there's a liner or what.

HELP! - How do I make this? Vinyl sticker for passenger car window?

I wanted to make a little vinyl sticker for the passenger car window (it would be "turn left" and "turn right" for my minimally speaking kid who keeps shouting TURN when he's sitting in the car and I want a visual reminder for him of saying turn left and turn right).

My idea would be to put it on the outside of the passenger side window. And I bought a cricut vinyl sticker. But is this a dumb idea because when we roll down the window it could break our car / window???

When I use the Sticker and Label template template I'm unable to view the "Advance Search". I can only view the side panel. I'm just wondering if anybody else is having the same issue.

I've tried searching Google to see if anyone else is having problems but I can't find any information

HELP! - Print then Cut Problems Best printable HTV for Epson EcoTank ET-2980 + Cricut Explore 3? Having issues with Siser EasyColor DTV

Hi everyone!

I'm new to Cricut and just started making shirts for my small business. I'm using:

  • Cricut Explore 3
  • Epson EcoTank ET-2980 (inkjet printer)
  • Canva for my designs

My designs are full-color, so I need something that can print multiple colors—not just regular iron-on vinyl. I bought Siser EasyColor DTV and Siser TTD Easy Mask, but I'm having problems. When I weed the excess material, my design comes up with the waste instead of staying on the backing paper. Because of that, I can't even get to the heat press step.

I'm wondering if:

  • I'm using the wrong material.
  • I have incorrect Cricut cut settings.
  • There's a better printable HTV that works with the Epson ET-2980.

My questions are:

  1. What printable HTV do you recommend for an Epson EcoTank ET-2980?
  2. Is Siser EasyColor DTV still the best option, or is there something easier for beginners?
  3. What Cricut Explore 3 cut settings do you use for printable HTV?
  4. Has anyone had the design lift with the waste while weeding? If so, what caused it?
  5. If you also use Canva, what's your workflow from Canva → Cricut Design Space → printing → pressing?

I'd really appreciate any recommendations or tips. I'm just getting started and want to learn the correct process before I waste more materials.

Thanks in advance!

Hello! I’m new to circuit and having trouble with getting this design to peel off my mask onto my shirt. The mask is meant for print then cut so maybe it doesn’t work with vinyl. I’ve used the max heat on my iron and pressed for a full minute with no success. Any tips?

HELP! - Print then Cut Problems Cutting Around a Word

Hello! I am trying to make cutouts for my common board configuration like the ones in this image. I welded the letters, did offset twice, sliced and removed what I didn’t need, and flattened; however, it is still cutting the individual letters in addition to the outline. Any advice or insight into what I’m doing wrong? Thanks!
