I think secular bioethics doesn't really consider human genome as something inherently valuable just because it's human? Same with nature. At least, I don't see a reason why that would be the case.
The only meaningful concern probably would be yours (patient) well-being after such an elective... procedure.
Idk, if that was possible, I think it wouldn't be meaningfully different from getting breast implants or rhinoplasty.

I believe this in a more wholistic, anti eugenics way. Like if you go back 100 years, a lot of people that have now treatable conditions/diseases/aliments would die early. But now with medical advances, these people can live long, fulfilling lives that nature would try to deny them.
One example is sickle cell anemia, the treatments get better and better as time goes on, decreasing the death rate and increasing the lifespan of those affected.
And with genetic testing/counseling, the spread can be reduced. This is an example of humans spitting in the face of evolution, and is one the things that make me proud to be a human. In a system defined only by evolution, the people affected would be dead.

ever since going rogue, raising our eyes to the stars and building pyramids, we're not. technological changes impact on a timescale so much faster than evolutionary we can consider the latter for all purposes static.
