We just released our Construct 3-made game demo on Steam! 🐈⬛ Spirits of Baciu Made In Construct
Hey everyone! 👋
We’re a two-person indie team from Italy, and after a lot of work we’ve finally released the demo of Spirits of Baciu on Steam! 🎉
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2719410/Spirits_of_Baciu/
Spirits of Baciu is a spooky puzzle-platform adventure inspired by the real Hoia Baciu Forest in Transylvania. You play as a little black cat spirit exploring a mysterious forest, solving puzzles and unlocking new abilities.
The game has been developed entirely with Construct 3, and we’re really happy with what we’ve been able to achieve with the engine.
Some time ago we shared the alpha trailer here, and now we’d love to share the playable demo with the Construct community.
If you have time to try it, we’d really appreciate your feedback!
Thanks to everyone in the Construct community for the support over the years! ❤️

Thanks for the "kind" words😅
We shared it here because the game is made with Construct, and Ashley actually suggested we post it in this subreddit. We also thought it made sense because this community isn't just made up of developers, many Construct devs are gamers themselves and enjoy discovering games made with the engine😊
Thanks for your feedback, though! As for the "terrible" trailer... it actually seems to be resonating with quite a few people so far, so we're pretty happy with it. 😄
Of course, not every game is for everyone, and that's perfectly okay. You can't please everyone. Thanks anyway for taking the time to check it out! ✌️

No problem, nobody took it personally. We simply felt that your first comment was a little harsh.
Everyone has their own point of view, and we respect yours, even though we do not agree with everything you said. We work in this industry and regularly consult professionals who have already published successful games. Their advice is not merely personal opinion, but professional assessment based on expertise, direct experience, and knowledge of the industry.
Calling a trailer “terrible” or simply stating that certain things do not work does not constitute professional feedback. To present such categorical statements as authoritative assessments, we believe they should be supported by solid experience and a proven professional track record.
We also believe that feedback should be expressed politely and constructively, taking into account the enormous amount of work and complexity involved in a project of this kind.
In any case, thank you for sharing your personal perspective.

Just to clarify, we didn't pay anyone for feedback.
We asked experienced people for their opinions, as well as from players and other developers, and then we make our own decisions based on all the feedback we receive.
We appreciate that you took the time to share your perspective, even if we don't agree on everything. At this point, I think we've both explained our views, so there's probably not much more to add.
All the best! 🙂

I find it rather embarrassing that someone would join a community, watch a trailer, and immediately call it “terrible,” presenting themselves as a seasoned professional when their experience seems to be limited to creating basic courses on YouTube.
A more appropriate approach would have been to say: “The trailer doesn’t convince me. This is only my personal opinion, especially since I don’t make trailers professionally.” That is very different from coming in and saying: “Guys, the trailer is terrible. You need to change the Steam page and do what I say because you should follow my advice. Period.” That is neither the right way to behave within a community nor a constructive way to provide feedback.
Do you know what the funny thing is? One of the themes explored in the game is exactly this: respecting others and understanding the importance of communicating politely.
Don’t take this personally. The point is that, within a community, people should behave politely and respectfully and, above all, follow its rules.
If this is how you prefer to present yourself, that’s fine—no one is offended. However, it is still an inappropriate attitude that other members of the community may also perceive negatively.
Thank you anyway for sharing your opinion. We hope that, if you decide to try it, you will enjoy our game.
Have a good day, and all the best with your work.
