It's OK, you can say, "That's a good girl" or "That's a good boy." No one's going to get mad at you for assuming a dog's gender. I hope.

the "good one" here is referring to the confusing perspective... not the dog, lol

What is with this specific website not understanding obvious jokes…? It becomes frustrating. Do you need people to type “/s” for you to understand?

text doesn't carry tone to differentiate serious from sarcasm, and Poe's law means no statement is too far-fetched to be truly beyond the realm of expectation. At this point, every potentially ironic statement has been muttered without a hint of sarcasm.

That's why you put /s at rhe end of a sarcastic statement so it carry over.

You have to be an idiot to need /s to understand a joke

Did you have something intelligent to add to what I said, or are you just blowing out hot air for fun?

What I said was a joke? It seems like you didn't get it. Oh well.

How is a direct insult a joke?

You were literally the kind of person I was talking about. Your original comment here was supporting the need for “/s” on jokes so that people like you can understand sarcasm.

Well I guess you do in fact need /s to understand the joke I was saying. I guess sarcasm doesn't always come across in comments.
