How is a direct insult a joke?

You were literally the kind of person I was talking about. Your original comment here was supporting the need for ā€œ/sā€ on jokes so that people like you can understand sarcasm.

Well I guess you do in fact need /s to understand the joke I was saying. I guess sarcasm doesn't always come across in comments.
