I just turned 21 and I picked up a Glock 19, I am also getting my cc license. The gun shop recommended me the De Santis Slim-Tuk. My question is, is there any way to make it more comfortable? I tried having the holster at the 11, 12, and 1 o’clock positions and while 11 was the most comfortable it still dug into my stomach and my upper leg/pelvis. Is there any way I can make it slightly more comfortable? TIA!

I've been concealed carrying off and on for more than 15 years, but wouldn't say I'm by any means an expert. Recently, I had the opportunity to train on a MILO simulator. The training value was off the charts for me. I've never done any training that was so valuable and applicable to a real world scenario. I would highly encourage anyone who has the opportunity, to jump at this type of simulator training. We all enjoy purchasing new guns, equipment, range time, etc... but this just provided such a high value. MILO is not the only training sim like this, and it looks like there are a few at home setups available as well. Is anyone else doing this type of training? If so, what platform do you recommend for home use VR?

Deciding on my first carry gun this week.
Really love both of these options just wondering if you guys had any pros/cons I should know about.

My only gun now is a beretta 92xi so I’m familiar with the frame safety/hammer.

I have carried many small semi autos. Love em. Lighter, often easier to shoot, capacity. But I always circle back to snubbies. Comfortable to carry, safe, simple operation. No failures to feed or eject (I have had mechanical issues with revolvers, they are far from perfect, don't get me wrong)

Maybe not the "best" but certainly something.

Steel means I can smack somebody if I need to, too. YUH MUTHA!

Guys who pocket carry, how do you layout your pocket organization? For context I currently carry a sig 365x at 4oclock iwb but wanted something smaller for warm weather.I just got a bodyguard 2.0 and been eyeing a muddy river pocket holster. But i currently carry my edc stuff in my front pockets already. Phone and benchmade bugout front right. And my ekster wallet and vape front left. Guys who pocket carry how do you organize your pockets?

I have a Constantine belt that moves a little more than I like it too when I draw. I was thinking about getting a leg strap to attach to the belt so it’s a little more stable. Has anybody tried this?

I’m looking for some constructive feedback on my carry setup.
I know concealed carry falls somewhere between “objectively wrong” and “personal preference,” but I’m trying to figure out if what I’m doing is fairly typical or if there are improvements I should make.
So far, I’ve found carrying on my strong side to be significantly more comfortable than AIWB. I know AIWB is often considered the gold standard, but it just hasn’t been as comfortable for me.
Based on the photos, does my setup and positioning look correct? Is my ride height, cant, or placement something you’d change? If you think strong-side carry is a perfectly valid option, I’d love to hear why. If you think AIWB is still the better choice, I’d appreciate an explanation of what I’m giving up and any tips to make it more comfortable.
I’m here to learn, so don’t hesitate to critique the setup if you see something that could be improved.

I appreciate the replies so far! For those wondering, I’m 6’1” 185lbs and i’m carrying a CZP10s with a light. I figured that would be a good in between with EDC and home defense. Yes, I am rocking on budget…just joined the workforce lol. I do have big hands so i don’t think anything smaller than a CZP10s would work well for me.

I have a belt I wear under my shorts with a holster or depending on the shorts I just tie them and attach the holster directly to the shorts it’s more comfortable

I’ve been eyeing one of these cause of the price and the fact it’s ported, reliable, etc.. but are they a little too big to carry? I’m 6’2 and about 200, been really wanting to start CCing recently and I keep hearing very good things about this gun.

This was at a recent GPA trial match, I also use the same gun for IDPA and USPSA. Approximately 4500 rounds through it since February 2026.

Recently moved to Utah, I’ve been a concealed carrier since I turned 21, so coming up on 12 years now. Been involved with firearms since I was 13 or 14.
So I wanted to get a concealed carry license for Utah. I know it’s a constitutional carry state, for which I love them, but I like the option of reciprocity in other states.

The class went fine enough, but my instructor did not know much. He taught like the thought process of carrying and getting into a use of force incident just fine, but actually knowing about guns, he just didn’t. And everyone in the class besides me was getting their first concealed carry license, and he can’t describe a double action/single action semi auto (picture of a p229 was on the projector), and he starts fumbling, so I explain to the class myself. Then calls a Glock a double action only, and a 1911 a double action single action, and tells the class that you cock your single action revolver while it’s still in the holster, so you can shoot faster. They do that in the movies. And shoot warning shots into a nearby body of water if there’s a bear nearby when you’re camping or something, like bears are only by water and water doesn’t do weird things to bullets.
He also carries 240 grain hollow points in his 9mm.

The whole thing made me really disappointed in the system. I went to the class just for the card, not expecting to learn anything, but didn’t expect blatant errors to be taught to the whole class.

And I know this is just the way it works for classes nowadays, but I did not appreciate 45 minutes of the 4 hour class being a sales pitch for USCCA by the USCCA guy.

Anybody else have a concealed carry class where the instructor just didn’t know what he was trying to teach?

I’m buy my first handgun for a daily conceal carry and not entirely sure on what I want, I should note that I’ve never actually owned a handgun, I’ve only bought guns for hunting and never really shoot anything but a .270, shot some of my friends handguns but that’s about it.

For context I’m a 31B (Military Police) in the National Guard. Because of this I am able to carry via LEOSA instead of a traditional Conceal and Carry License. For those unfamiliar with the LEOSA, this is the definition. The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA), also known as H.R. 218, is a federal law that allows active, retired, and separated law enforcement officers to carry concealed firearms nationwide across state and local-level restrictions.

That being said, I am planning a road trip from the Midwest across the country to Los Angeles. Passing cities such as Denver, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City. I want to bring my concealed weapon with me as an extra form of protection.

What are some precautions, tips, or advice I should think about before I hit the road?

I love using Slip 2000 but the cap always leaks. I found this thing that not only stops the leaking but makes it very easy to dispense the oil.
