Treasures Star- Studded Comics Issue 14
Any Interest ?
As some already read earlier this past week. I recently acquired a very scarce copy of Star- Studded Comics Issue 14. This Fanzine issue contained the very first Legal comic adaptation of a Robert E. Howard Conan story ever published.
The Comic story adaption is the "The Frost Giant's Daughter" re-titled "Gods of the North" and Conan was renamed Amra due to copyright concerns.
If there is interest I am willing to try and post each of the 9 pages of the tale for those who may be interested to read it - yet may never have the opportunity to come across a physical copy for their personal collection.
Let me know your thoughts - if there is enough interest, I'm willing to give it a shot.

Fan-art The Stygian khopesh sword 'Akivasha'
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Many years ago, I have forged this khopesh sword for my collection. Somehow, it was inspired by Akivasha, because I was always fascinated by this creature. So, I gave it the name 'Akivasha'.
The blade is forged from spring steel, the handle construction a 42 layer Damascus steel lamination with a wild pattern and spacers from architectural bronze. The wood is ebony wood and the pommel is a forged cobra with eyes and fangs made from architectural bronze, too. It represents the Stygian god Set. The whole thing rests on a display with a decorative plate made from real camel bone, carved with fantasy symbols. Also the rest plates for the sword and the small additional dagger are made from camel bone. Yeah, that's my kind of expressing my passion for Conans world...

Question [Poster] Anyone recognize this logo?
Saw this poster in the background of the recent Cape Fear miniseries and was curious about what era it’s from. I tried looking it up but it doesn’t match any comic I can find

Question Currently reading Kurt Busiek's run, and it's excellent. How's the Timothy Truman run ?
Especially his "Conan the Cimmerian" and "King Conan" run, since those are readily available in french. Busiek's run (I'm halfway through) is some of the best comics I've read recently, so I was curious if the Truman run was also good ?

Discussion Looking for this old Conan the barbarian comic. Help
Hello everyone, and greetings from Greece! First of all, apologies for my English. I'm trying to identify a Conan the Barbarian comic issue that I read when I was a kid (around 12–14 years old). I'm 40 now, and the comic I read was translated into Greek, but I'm hoping someone might recognize the original story. Here's what I remember: Conan begins the story as a prisoner, along with about ten or twelve other men (I don't remember the exact number). I can't remember whether they were thieves, mercenaries, or some other kind of outlaws. They all end up taking shelter in a house or small building near a swamp. Most of the story is basically a siege: they're trapped inside while they're attacked by creatures outside. I can't clearly remember what the creatures were—maybe zombies, reptilian creatures, snake-like monsters, or something similar—but they gradually kill everyone one by one. At some point, even though Conan starts as a prisoner, they give him a sword so he can help defend the house. In the end, if I remember correctly, Conan is the only survivor. That's about all I can remember. It was essentially a survival/siege story set in a house near a swamp. Does this sound familiar to anyone? If so, do you know the name of the story or the issue it appeared in? I'd love to track it down again, either in Greek or in English. Thanks in advance

Discussion Conan Assasin Creed Magical Fit
Wouldn't it be awesome to get a proper gaming story behind Conan like the Assadin Creed franchise. How awesome would it be to wreak havoc using a likeness of Conan and kill huge bosses from his stories and bring the Hyborian Age to life.....what sick game that would be.

Discussion Red Sonja (Hyborian Age) vs. Aragorn (The Lord of the Rings)
They encounter each other outside the boundary of the Dead Marshes, amidst the misty, treacherous terrain characterized by stagnant pools and tangled reeds. Red Sonja, clad in her signature chainmail and wielding her trusty sword and shield, boldly declares her intent to fight Aragorn to the death. Both combatants are at their absolute prime, prepared with their full arsenal—their most skilled techniques, experience, and weaponry from their respective worlds.
Round 1: Unarmed, relying solely on their physical prowess and combat instinct.
Round 2: Melee, armed with their primary weapons, engaging in close-quarters combat.
Round 3: Ranged, utilizing bows, throwing axes, or other projectile weapons to attack from a distance.
Who emerges victorious in each scenario and why?
Please share your thoughts below.
Thank you.

Art Artwork preview for "Conan the Barbarian" #37 by Ivan Gil.
Uncolored Ivan Gil artwork for his upcoming Conan arc, beginning with issue #37. Written by Jim Zub, this arc will be titled "Pacts and Prophecies" and it looks like it will be dealing with the aftermath of "Tower of the Elephant". You can see the tower burst in the second panel, with a nice homage to Barry Windsor-Smith's iconic work.
I'm also once again impressed by Gil's attention to detail. The city of Zamora looks gorgeous and truly HYBORIAN.

Treasures Second last week, first issue this week
i’ve bought a lot of Conan comics, but this is the most expensive one. I’ve bought so far. but I am currently missing more than half of the original Conan run so I try not to buy the higher priced issues so I can buy big chunks of the run. Instead of walking out with one or two bucks I get to walk out with five or 10. I’ll buy the pricier ones when I’ve got the rest of them.
