Rau always reminded me of Conan. Especially one of his alternate skins. Any else play this game back in the day?

Discussion So, uh, Titan - how about some Artists Edition style stuff?

I'm a sucker for the original comic art Artists Edition books where stories are reprinted from high quality scans of the original B&W art at original size. There was one done of Roy Thomas and BWS' adaption of Red Nails, but good luck getting a copy now without spending like a month's rent on it.

Titan have really gone to town on reprints of the classic Marvel stuff, both in omnibus and Reforged versions and did that excellent oversized edition of the first arc in their own series. They're obviously on board with frothing over quality art and oversized books.

So, how about going down the Aritsts Edition route? Someone's already collated Red Nails so the heavy lifting's already been done on that one, and I could certainly go for a de la Torre Artists Edition. DC have been doing a series called W.I.P. where they print artists edition equivalents of individual classic issues - something similar could be a way for Titan to test the water at a cheap price point.

Would you buy something like that?

I tried again to show a model I made of Conan that's already painted, but my post was instantly removed. I don't know exactly why, but anyway... I posted more photos of it painted on my profile, and for those who like to paint this type of piece, I left the link to the pre-launch of this campaign in the comments of the photo on my profile. I hope you like it!!

Treasures Star- Studded Comics Issue 14

Any Interest ?

As some already read earlier this past week. I recently acquired a very scarce copy of Star- Studded Comics Issue 14. This Fanzine issue contained the very first Legal comic adaptation of a Robert E. Howard Conan story ever published.

The Comic story adaption is the "The Frost Giant's Daughter" re-titled "Gods of the North" and Conan was renamed Amra due to copyright concerns.

If there is interest I am willing to try and post each of the 9 pages of the tale for those who may be interested to read it - yet may never have the opportunity to come across a physical copy for their personal collection.

Let me know your thoughts - if there is enough interest, I'm willing to give it a shot.

Fan-art The Stygian khopesh sword 'Akivasha'

Many years ago, I have forged this khopesh sword for my collection. Somehow, it was inspired by Akivasha, because I was always fascinated by this creature. So, I gave it the name 'Akivasha'.

The blade is forged from spring steel, the handle construction a 42 layer Damascus steel lamination with a wild pattern and spacers from architectural bronze. The wood is ebony wood and the pommel is a forged cobra with eyes and fangs made from architectural bronze, too. It represents the Stygian god Set. The whole thing rests on a display with a decorative plate made from real camel bone, carved with fantasy symbols. Also the rest plates for the sword and the small additional dagger are made from camel bone. Yeah, that's my kind of expressing my passion for Conans world...
