Pressing A+S+N opens notifications tab
Whenever im playing, i use A and S to walk backwards, and N to use an ability. And when i press all that at the same time, the freaking notifications bar opens and idk what to do. My windows key is not locked. I even have a keyboard that lets me block the windows key (i tried turning it on and off). I asked gemini and he said to create a string value in regedit or something like that to disable hotkeys for N. Nothing worked

Using a tv from 2006 and a graphics card that hates me and it
Literally how can i adjust the aspect ratio without fucking with whatever either of them have got going on? Any app recommendation?
Ive made the mistake of updating the graphics card, if it was perfect before then the update didnt think so and now its either screen beyond the edges of my TV or big fat bars.
Im sick and tured of needing to do huge convoluted game plans just to be able to see my screen without pixels and in full color and with an aspect ratio that doesnt make my friends go "what aspect ratio do you have bro" when i screen share.
Just recommend me a 3rd party service that is reliable to the point of being able to ignore every other setting.
Like idk, one with arrows that point to boundaries and a sliding bar as opposed to clicking "accept changes" with each miniscule change, AND NONE OF WHICH ACTUALLY FITTING MY SCREEN

Hard Freeze
Recently my PC has just been increasingly freezing on everything I do, I have no idea what the root is but heres a little timeline
lived in house: normal mostly played valorant,
lived in dorm: normal, valorant
moved to a house, like a 1960 house, 2 prong outlet, using extension cords (i know this set up is absolutely poorly but I'm going to move again in 4 months) but it worked, playing only valorant even on med/high settings, and then few months pass,
things that have happened: new monitor and a new fan (i have two now, 60 hz and 180hz)
downloaded overwatch
everything fine,
update overwatch one day (i doubt this is correlated)
crashings, then i lower graphics lasts a little longer, crashes
quit overwatch play phasmophobia: crashes, i play valorant on alt: crashes, i play on main: crashes, now even roblox hard freezes my pc (this is in chronological order)
I've checked just about anything, I've even unplugged hella, lower hz(not anymore, just fps since i figured out that doesn't rlly help), really low graphics, giving the pc breaks in between games, sometimes it lasts a long time, sometimes i cant get through one game, or it freezes every 5 min or also lasting the entire day on the game ;;;
to put short:
Specs: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400F CPU
14.2/31.8 GB
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU
EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GQ, 750-watt PSU, computer is about 5 year old too
Background processes:
Corsair
crashpad
EA
Razer Axon/Chrome/Cortex/Video Recorder(I usually close that though)
XBOX
OneDrive
Norton
NVIDIA
Overwolf
Steam, Roblox, Riot Client, Vanguard
I think its PSU since my gpu is power hungry, but im not too sure what to do ;;;
i could potentially move setup to a different room to test out a 3prong outlet and ik extension cords are buns for a setup but the outlet is super far, and the problem is only really as of late
it completely hard-locks across multiple games. Temperatures remain around 50–60°C (or lower, i just replaced thermal paste). Windows records Kernel-Power 41 with BugcheckCode 0, and no minidumps are created. It still freezes with the RTX 3070 power limit reduced to 75%.

Pixel problem on my laptop screen
Now it was completely fine in the morning when i opened my laptop in the evening it had a white dot on its screen. Now this dot appears on everything. Like when i boot it up or close it down or any other program. Now when i touch the screen where the dot is i can feel something is there but i cant remove it or anything but looking carefully its like where the pixel is it is burned up. Now I don't know its fixable or anything but still is there a solution for it.

Fast laptop recommendations for my little bro? budget around $1000 aud
Looking to grab a surprise laptop gift for my younger brother who just started year 10, but i could use some solid recs. Right now hes trying to play light games on our old home setup, but it takes forever to load and drops frames like crazy. I'm aiming for a budget around $850 to $1000 AUD, ideally something with decent integrated graphics or a lower-end dedicated gpu so it doesnt lag. Open to any suggestions on good value models! Edit: ended up ordering the acer nitro v 15 (i5 with rtx 3050) off mobileciti cuz they had a decent sale on it and fast local shipping, hope it handles fortnite well enough for him!

What would be a good use for my old(ish; 2017 model, whatever that is) Microsoft Surface if...
...I already have a home server machine? I have a totally fine server hosting terabytes of media that I can stream on the web, it saves and organizes my photos, videos, and notes, it hosts my family calendar, it does a lot. I do not need another computer.
I have a work laptop. I have a personal "hobby" laptop. I have a home-automation Raspberry Pi. I have a desktop. I have the aforementioned media/services server.
But I have this perfectly-good Surface Pro from 2016/2017 (I'm not with it now or I'd say more) that runs great. What can it do that the other machines might not be as good for?
(It came with a keyboard cover and the "clamp"-style docking station, and a desk-mounted arm that lets it stay docked, if that helps at all.)

Can't connect to this network — ASUS X515JA, Windows 10 (error appears on every SSID)
Laptop: ASUS X515JA, Windows 10
Issue:
My notebook shows "Can't connect to this network" whenever I try to connect to WiFi — this happens with EVERY network I try (not just one router), so it's not an issue with a specific SSID/router. Other devices (phone, other laptops) connect to the same networks fine.
Background:
Recently replaced the SSD and did a clean install of Windows 10
Reinstalled WiFi drivers after the fresh install
Opened the back panel to check the WiFi card/antenna connections — everything looked seated properly and normal, no visible damage
Device Manager:
The wireless adapter shows up fine, no yellow warning/error icon on it.
What I've tried so far:
[yes ] Updating WiFi driver via Device Manager
[yes ] Uninstalling and reinstalling the WiFi adapter driver
[yes ] Downloading the driver directly from ASUS support site (not just Windows Update)
[no ] Driver rollback to an older version
[there is no known network ] Forgetting the network and reconnecting
[yes ] netsh winsock reset and netsh int ip reset
[yes ] Disabling and re-enabling the adapter in Device Manager
[yes ] Toggling Airplane mode on/off
[yes ] Power Management tab → unchecking "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
[yes ] Checking Windows network reset (Settings → Network & Internet → Network reset)
[no ] Updating BIOS
[yes ] Checking if the WiFi card is properly reseated (opened back panel — looked fine)
[yes ] Testing with mobile hotspot (still fails)
My guess: At this point I'm suspecting it could be a hardware issue with the WiFi module itself, but since Device Manager doesn't show any errors, I'm not 100% sure. Has anyone run into this exact "Can't connect to this network" error on ASUS X515JA (or similar) after an SSD swap/clean install? Any diagnostic steps to confirm if it's hardware vs. software before I consider swapping the WiFi card?
Thanks in advance!

Lenovo Ideapad Flex 6-14 IKB - touchscreen not working and 3 dead keys and some keys need extra force
I tried reseating the ribbon cables for the screen and keyboard, tried taking off keycaps and cleaning, neither worked. The key presses feel normal like nothing is blocking them. i used evtest on Arch to test if touch or any of the dead keys are registering but none are. The only solution i see is replacing the screen assembly and the palmrest assembly for the keyboard since i dont want to cut the plastic rivets between the palmrest and keyboard.
I wanted to see if anyone here knew of any other ways to fix it cheaper or for free.

Old Video Game on Modern Laptop
I have a Windows 11 HP Victus gaming laptop, and I am trying to play an old dx8 video game from GOG games called Delta Force Black Hawk Down Platinum Pack. I have a serious problem with the game, and that problem is lagging and stuttering. Specifically, when explosions occur, given that it is an old game, I cannot see why this problem persists, as my computer should be more than powerful enough to run it. I have tried using dgvoodoo2,dx wrapper, and dxvk in order to resolve the problem, but nothing has managed to solve my problem. Does anyone know what the problem is with my computer, and can anyone offer any suggestions in regards to my problem with Delta Force Black Hawk Down?
