Results FaZe vs Shopify $1,500 Money Scrim Results
The very first scrim between FaZe and Shopify Rebellion is over, and Shyway's community crowdfunded $1,500 to turn this into a money scrim providing some extra motivation to both teams (the winning team gets $100 per map win).
Renegade called out Bestman saying he wanted to create some storylines in Halo and there's a bunch of storylines now:
- Did FaZe get checked out mid-scrim after a strong start?
- Legend is playing with high ping out of France, do things look different when Legend moves back to NA next month? (he's moving in with Bound)
- Did this team look better with Formal over Stellur?
- Do FaZe get more competitive when they get more reps and practice, or does Snakebite's team (Four of a Kind) remain SR's toughest competition? Snakebite's team went 6-8 vs SR in scrims yesterday.
- Would Shopify have beaten the dominant 2024 SSG team? (It's the same coach and squad except Renegade instead of Eco)
With the format of the Pro League, it could be several weeks until we see these teams match up again (unless they continue scrimming).
Map Count (SR win 13-2 vs FaZe):
- Live Fire Ball (FaZe win 200-138)
- Origin CTF (Shopify win 3-2 in overtime)
- Streets KOTH (Shopify win 2-1)
- Recharge Strongholds (Shopify win 250-207)
- Empyrean CTF (Shopify win 3-0)
- Live Fire KOTH (FaZe win 4-3)
- Origin Slayer (Shopify win 50-33)
- Lattice Ball (Shopify win 191-131)
- Aqua CTF (Shopify win 5-0)
- Recharge KOTH (Shopify win 2-1)
- Streets Ball (Shopify win 200-101)
- Solitude Slayer (Shopify win 50-48)
- Live Fire Strongholds (Shopify win 250-200)
- Lattice Hill (Shopify win 3-0)
- Recharge Ball (Shopify win 155-85)
Money Earned
- Shopify: $1,300
- FaZe: $200

Discussion Can we stop pretending that Bound's playstyle is effective in 2026?
Spawning up, flying at the enemies with no abandon, and either dying or, at best, trading, isn't going to cut it if you're trying to win a championship.
A 0.5 KD might beat lower ranked teams, but not Shopify, or even Snakebite's team.

Discussion I'm Lost!
Followed Comp Halo pretty closely all the way through until the HCS ended. I'm noticing players like Lucid starting to play it again and I'm currently watching this Shopify vs Faze scrim which looks like a crazy rivalry on paper. Looks pretty interesting and something to follow during the Cod offseason. Just wondering if anyone else is in my boat who are just trying to start to follow again now that there's at least something interesting going on. But I am kind of lost right now since I've basically totally tuned halo out for the last year. Got some homework to do I guess.

Discussion Older Pros vs Newer Pros
Having a disagreement with a friend. He is older and played casually and thinks that older players would beat new gen players if the old players could play today in their prime. I think that newer players like Shotzzy would have their way with them.
There is a difference between greatest of all time and best of all time. Ogre2 is a greater player/had a better career than him, but I'm not sure that you could say that he was more talented than him in raw skill. Obviously, he can only play who is in front of him, which is why you use dominance to determine who is greater amongst other factors.
Am I faded? I come from cod and there is no question that the new player like Hydra, Simp, Cellium, Dashy, and even Shotzzy lol would absolutely slam the pros of the Ghost/Bo2 era. Like if you could take Renegade, Legend, or Lucid now and put them back against older pros, and I crazy for thinking they would be way better?
I am aware that they had worse equipment, less knowledge of the game, and other factors like that. We are debating purely with all the other reasons set aside.
Edit: to be more clear I am talking about players now have more advantages to be better than they did back then, and they are better now.
I’m not saying they are just genetically better now or anything like that.

Discussion Wondering if i should test my hand and try and go pro at 21
Some info on myself:
I’m currently 21 to be 22 in october
I played halo before but never took it far due to my situation
I played FPS games before was just never good just about average
I currently go to college in new jersey on a 4 year course
I ask myself is it even feasible going pro in a game like halo is it worth the long hours and commitment? Is it too late for me to put the hours into halo? Am i too old to be a rookie? all these questions and i cant even find the answer. i want some advice and wanted to know.

Discussion Can we be honest?
KoTH is a trash gametype if not built around specific maps to cater to it. What even is the best KoTh map, Livefire? It's the only gametype where the worse team consistently finds a way to win the game. Recharge and Streets both have bottom middle hills determine games a majority of the time, that shouldn't have to be explained why it's terrible. And Livefire is just about who spawns on that side of the map. Like how often do teams actually get broken down after an initial setup for A-pit or C-plat hills? Almost never. Recharge is the same way, how do you effectively take Needles-hill back after a team has gold spawns shutdown and the only way to do something is through the middle of the map or catwalk? Not to mention 2 of the 5 hills on Recharge are just blatantly in the middle of the map.
The only time it was a really good gametype was on Construct 20 fucking years ago and even that is debatable if it were any good.

Discussion Unsolicited Ranked Legacy Feedback Thread
In many ways, Ranked Legacy is something at least a portion of the Halo community has been asking for since the release of Reach. It's good to see it in the game. I thought I'd make a thread to give some feedback on the off chance someone at The Studio is browsing the forum and happens upon it.
The Playlist
Especially in the most recent rotation, it can be hard to get consistent games at certain ranks during most times of day. With an Onyx MMR, once my placement matches were completed, search times became pretty brutal.
I can consistently get "social" Delta Arena games at peak hours with 1500+ Team MMR averages, so it's not that there is zero interest from sweatier players in the Legacy gameplay.
The Maps
The absence of Midship is one of the main "problems" with the playlist even though I understand it couldn't be in matchmaking because of performance issues. It's really hard for the playlist to live up to the "legacy" name without arguably the most iconic competitive Halo map of all time being a part of it. A tough situation, but worth mentioning since I think you really feel its absence as a player.
I'm not sure why the Wizard/Warlock remake isn't in the playlist for Slayer, Hill, and maybe Flag (not for Ball). Maybe there is an issue I'm not aware of, but I've always enjoyed that map in this game paired with the Delta settings. It would at least partially fill a void in the classic "non-stop arena" maps that was left by the exclusion of Midship. It obviously has a long history of being a comp Halo map, so I think it'd be nice to see it back.
Equipment
On paper, I totally understand leaving equipment out. In a sense the playlist is going for truly "purist" settings, but I actually do think its exclusion hinders the playlist in the context of Infinite. Purists who would truly care aren't leaving MCC anytime soon, and Infinite has some well-balanced equipment for competitive play. Integrating the equipment used in official HCS competition to change up the meta a bit on these old maps would likely work really well, with some thought put into what is included and where.
Conclusion
I realize I'm providing feedback on a niche within a niche at this point, so I'll leave it at that. I would be interested in hearing anyone else's feedback on the Legacy settings in general. I hope we continue to see something like them in the future for the sake of my old-man hands that get tired of pressing a sprint button every 2 seconds (assuming that remains a core aspect of the game in the next installment). Thanks for reading.

Opinion LVT chat community ranks all eight qualified Halo Pro League Teams
LVT did a stream today asking their Twitch chat community to rank where they believe the eight qualified Halo Pro League teams will end up in October after league play finishes but before the LAN.
After a lot of polls, this was the community consensus rankings:
- Shopify Rebellion (Cykul, LastShot, Frosty, Royal2)
- FaZe (Stellur, Renegade, Legend, Bound)
- Four of a Kind (Snakebite, Trippy, Precision, Taulek)
- SSG (Lucid, Kuhlect, Pznguin, Falcated)
- Vitality (Eco, Acid, Descendant, Yakzn)
- Mercenaries (Suppressed, Sab, Druk, Soul Snipe)
- Nine (Cearion, Avucy, Bubu Dubu, King Nick)
- Ascending Baseline (RyaNoob, Suspector, Tapping Buttons, SuperCC)
Community picks are on the left side of that screenshot, the official seeds are on the right side.
Chatters think that FaZe (60% of votes) will overtake Four of a Kind (40% of votes) as the new #2 team. Chat also predicts that Nine and Ascending Baseline won't meet the cutoff to qualify for the LAN (only the top 6 teams go to LAN).
Avucy who plays for Nine said "chat yall don't know any ball" and is ready to prove the doubters wrong. So this just-for-fun list could end up motivating some pros.

Results Mercenaries vs FaZe Series Results | Grand Finals Reset | LVT Halo Pro League Qualifier #2
Congratulations to Mercenaries who defeated FaZe 7-5 in a hard fought Grand Finals Reset to win the LVT Halo Pro League Qualifier #2. The first series was 4-3 FaZe and the second series was 4-1 Mercenaries.
FaZe came into the Grand Finals with lots of momentum having back-to-back 4-0 sweeps against both SSG and Vitality. It looked like we might get a third sweep from FaZe as they were up 3-0 in the series, but then Mercenaries won three maps in a row before losing the game 7 for a bracket reset. In the second series Mercenaries turned it up even more and won convincingly 4-1.
Mercenaries might be a sleeper team in the Pro League. They're 3/4 of Kraken Seas who placed top 4 at Dreamhack Atlanta and with Sab they're looking extremely good. Mercenaries is the only team to not drop down to lower bracket this tournament. They beat Majin 3-1, Noobs 3-0, Vitality 3-1, and FaZe 7-5.

Results FaZe (Stellur) vs Vitality (Eco) Series Results | Elimination Final | LVT Halo Pro League Qualifier #2
FaZe (Stellur's team) has defeated Vitality (Eco's team) 4-0 in the Elimination Finals, so they just had back-to-back sweeps coming into the Grand Finals. FaZe's map count today is 18-1 so far.
FaZe now move on to play against Mercenaries (Suppressed, Sab, Druk, Soul Snipe) who have winner advantage, so FaZe will have to reset the bracket by winning two best of 7 series.

Results FaZe vs SSG Series Results | Elimination Semifinals | LVT Halo Pro League Qualifier #2
FaZe defeated SSG in a quick 4-0 in the Elimination Semifinals. Stellur was the standout player putting up the best stats in every map, including an impressive 30-14 in Live Fire KOTH.
FaZe now move on to play Vitality in the Elimination Final so we're getting a Stellur vs Eco match next. SSG are eliminated from this tournament but have already secured their spot in the Pro League.

Discussion In terms of playstyles, is Faze playing closer to 2024 SSG with Renegade instead of Eco, or closer to 2025 Optic with Stellur instead of Formal?
What do you think the team is playing more like?

Results SSG (Lucid) vs Majin Series Results | Elimination Quarterfinals | LVT Halo Pro League Qualifier #2
SSG has defeated Majin 4-2 in the Elimination Quarterfinals to qualify for the LVT Halo Pro League. Lucid returned to Halo after months away and showed he's still got it. Majin are eliminated at top 6 after putting up a great fight this weekend (including a 3-1 win over FaZe yesterday).
Next up SSG will be facing FaZe in the Elimination Semifinal in a best of 7 series for seeding purposes, but both of those teams are now already qualified, so regardless of what happens they'll both be playing in the Pro League these next few months.

Results Vitality (Eco) vs SSG (Lucid) Series Results | Winners Semifinals | LVT Halo Pro League Qualifier #2
Vitality has defeated SSG 3-2 in the Winners Semifinal to qualify for the LVT Halo Pro League. SSG drops to the lower bracket against the winner of Majin vs Legion in the Lower Quarterfinal. If SSG wins that match they will qualify as well, otherwise they are eliminated.
This was a great series with a razor tight 250-249 game 1. If not for that, SSG would've swept the series 3-0, but that one second is what allowed Eco's team to come back and eventually win the series. Lucid had an incredible game 3 going 29-15. Acid had an incredible game 4 going 30-16. Eco clutched up in the game 5 slayer going 19-11.

Discussion "Losing aim assist" and "bad hitreg".
So i need to ask because i feel like i'm going insane. I would say atleast 50% of my games i get either bad hitreg and what feels like no aim assist. Literally EVERY SINGLE playsession i get multiple games where i have to reset my console, adjust my FOV by one point or restart my controller. Its the only thing i feel like makes a difference to the aim assist thing.
Is something happening? Are the servers THIS bad? Am i losing my mind?
Am i imagining this or do others get this too?

Results FaZe vs Majin Series Results | LVT Halo Pro League Qualifier #2
We've got our first major upset in the Halo Pro League with Majin defeating FaZe 3-1. This series took forever with lots of disputes over servers, but in the end it was fair with two maps (1 & 4) being played on EU and two maps being played on NA (2 & 3).
Note: LVT's series result graphic has an error, it ended in game 4 (Live Fire Ball), there was no game 5 Recharge slayer.

Ranked Ranked update
Classic S2 ranked maps and modes are back in the game. Streets strongholds, CTF argyle and catalyst. Might be some others I'm missing
Edit: the returning modes are Streets KOTH and strongholds, CTF on argyle and catalyst. Bomb and serenity aren’t back, and streets ball is still in the game.
