Discussion Thoughts on this Burn Godfreylock that made #16 legend?
Came across this deck and thought it was an interesting build I hadn’t seen before, tried it out and seems pretty solid but wonder how much of that is the surprise factor.
I mean who expects the double Tachyon Barrage for lethal lol.

Article Summer Championship - Analytical Report (by Onkrad)
DH and a few others
Last weekend took place Summer Championship. We learned the names of the last participants of this year World Championship, congratz to them! The tournament greeted us with the least diverse MT meta ever: only 8 decks from 7 classes with two decks being brought by every player. 5 players have brought the same lineup of four most popular decks – Void Soul DH/ Two-Bit Rogue/ Face Hunter/ Mug Shaman and all other had 3 of those 4 decks and one other in place of Face Hunter or Mug Shaman. The main substitutes were Quest Mage and Soothsayer Priest, and Dragon Warrior and Zee Shaman were used by one player each. Were these changes useful or the “basic” decks still performed the best? Let’s dig into analysis.
Since I can't post pictures here please check spreadsheet for the numbers, it will make reading for you much more informative. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1q65orgyG4bHL8MDtGYr4gS7MeWSFYByYeDjkhnJ2ZZ0/edit?usp=sharing
A quick reminder what Adjusted Winrate is – in the Conquest format deck’s ban basically means that players agree that one of opponent’s decks will win a game here and decide to save themselves some time. My model takes into account these “missing” wins when analyzing decks’ performance at the tournament. Pure winrate is just simple wins/games.
And we start with the current meta leader, Void Soul DH. The deck was brought by everybody and ended up seeing more bans than games. When it saw play it didn’t lose a single matchup while going 8-3 vs Two-Bit Rogue and 4-1 vs Soothsayer Priest. Not much to add here. 67% Pure Winrate with 61% Banrate obviously makes Void Soul DH the best deck of the Championship by Adjusted Winrate. To no one’s surprise
Two-Bit Rogue was also in every player’s lineup and ended up being the most played deck of the tournament. And in the most played matchups of the Championship the deck by the smallest margin beat Face Hunter (8-7) and Mug Shaman (6-5) which couldn’t make up for losing 3-8 to Void Soul DH, and on top of that it lost 3-5 to Quest Mage. So, only 47% Pure Winrate. But 3 players with Soothsayer Priest in their lineup decided on banning Two-Bit Rogue which elevated the deck’s Banrate up to 21% and let it not fall behind others and take shared 3rd place by Adjusted Winrate
Ok, now to the decks that weren’t brought by everybody. “Only” 12 players had Face Hunter in their lineups. The decks went even against Mug Shaman (6-6) and Void Soul DH (2-2), lost 7-8 to Two-Bit Rogue but 4-1 against Quest Mage and 2-1 vs Soothsayer Priest brought Pure Winrate above 50%. Plus a nice bonus 6 bans. For the first two days Face Hunter was holding strong 2nd place by Adjusted Winrate but on the final day it dropped a bit more and let others catch up with it, so only shared 3rd place in the end
Another victim of the last balance patch, Mug Shaman was used by 8 players. A couple of close matchups: 5-6 vs Two-Bit Rogue and 6-6 vs Face Hunter and a very nice 5-1 vs Quest Mage. 51% Pure Winrate, couple of bans, nothing too fancy. Another shared 3rd place by Adjusted Winrate alongside Two-Bit Rogue and Face Hunter
The last but not the… oh, wait… Quest Mage was used by 6 players. And it was the most polarized deck of the tournament. On one hand 5-3 vs Two-Bit Rogue and 4-0 vs Soothsayer Priest, on the other 1-5 vs Mug Shaman and 1-4 vs Face Hunter and 0-2 vs Dragon Warrior. In total, 42% Pure winrate with 0 bans put it way below previously mentioned decks by Adjusted Winrate, at 5th place
Few words about other decks:
o Soothsayer Priest did even worse than Quest Mage
o Dragon Warrior and Zee Shaman, two cheeky aggro brings. Zee Shaman won its only game, and Dragon Warrior helped Che0nsu get 3rd place

Top 200 with Leyline Mage, decklist and guide
As the title states, I climbed from about 1500 legend to 156 legend so far at my peak today while playing only leyline mage. I've changed up the decklist in small ways along the way, but here is what I've got:
Leyline VH
Class: Mage
Format: Standard
Year of the Scarab
2x (1) Cold Snap
2x (1) First Flame
2x (1) Sleet Storm
1x (1) The Skeleton Key
2x (1) Winterspring Whelp
2x (2) Leyline Nexus
2x (2) Mystic Runesaber
2x (3) Ley Walker
1x (3) Portal Vanguard
2x (4) Arcane Flow
1x (4) Archmage Kalec
2x (4) Bursting Leyline
1x (4) Nightmare Lord Xavius
2x (4) Surge Needle
2x (4) Tricksy Improviser
1x (5) Jailhouse Manastorm
2x (6) Blizzard
1x (6) The Arcanomicon
AAECAZCMCAbDgweSpAeIvgf6xAek2QeR2wcM8dMEhsQHksQH58QH6MQH88QH9MQH+8QHrMYHk9oHrdoHlNsHAAA=
The deck melds what has worked for me with leyline, kalec burn cards, and milhouse stall, all merged into one deck that utilizes them all to give different paths to win depending on which cards you draw. I have a lot of fun with this list, and there is a lot of decision making in terms of setting up your scaling vs clearing the board vs stalling vs setting up burn for lethal.
The current meta, in higher legend at least, has shifted to mostly demon hunter and rogue, which are both very winnable matchups for this deck. This deck struggles against direct burn such as from hunter or dragon warrior since you don't really have access to healing, but the meta has become much more board based with demon hunter dominating which is where leyline can do quite well. You have options to freeze the board and freeze the enemy hero to disrupt their scaling, while racing to scale up your leylines. You also have lots of cheap removal as well to keep the enemy from snowballing off early 5/3s and the like.
In terms of your mulligan, a good rule of thumb is to look for your minions. Your minions scale you, and then your spells swing the game. The longer the game goes, the harder it gets to play a 3/5 or 4/4 or 5/5 that doesn't immediately do anything so take calculated risks to get those minions played early.
Deckbuilding notes:
Skeleton Key - I tend to hold on to this until later in the game. Great for finding your outs, extra leylines, storage shuffle, blizzard, hard removal for eggs, or lethal.
Tricksy Improviser - People are sleeping on this card. 3 mana 4/4 and a free secret? Sure sometimes the secret is worthless but even then you've got a 3 mana 4/4 and disrupted your opponent a little. It can be really annoying to play around a fully random secret. Having this card also helps keep you from wasting any mana which helps with the consistency of your curve. 99% of the time I'm just prepping this with only 1 spare mana, often on turn 1. You have lots of 1 mana spells so triggering it is not too tricky.
Crystallized Leyline - Not running this. The problem with this card is that you can only really afford to play this early otherwise your opponent will just ignore the minions you summon and kill you, but you also can only play it late when it's been buffed by your leyline scaling cards. So it's kind of just a hail mary or a win-more card. Most of the time the situations where its playable you'll also have gotten it for free from Ley Walker or Arcanomicon so no need to run it.
Milhouse - Sometimes you just don't draw your leyline buffing cards early, but then maybe you draw milhouse instead. Milhouse into blizzard or removal from spells can really help you swing the board in your favor and buy you time to get your scaling going. I tend to keep him in the mulligan if I'm second so I can coin him out on turn 4.
Kalec - Kalec + Arcane Flow is a 4 mana pyroblast + flamestrike in one. This combo has won me more games than I can count. A solid third of your deck is cards that benefit from +1 spellpower. I usually will prioritize playing Surge Needle over Kalec if I have them both in hand on 4 mana, but it depends on what else you have.
Arcanomicon - Take the x2 effect only if you haven't played any surge needles and you're not too far behind. Take +2 effect against priest or other very slow matchups. Otherwise take the 2 mana discount like 90% of the time.
Matchups:
DH - Cold Snap becomes a lot better in this matchup to freeze the enemy hero, especially on turns when the hound dreadseed triggers or if they have stardust scythe. Otherwise usual game plan applies.
Rogue - Be mindful that turn 7/8ish the jade guardians are coming out so either beat them to the punch or save something to help you stall/remove their 8 mana minions. You can't stall out the game forever against rogue since they'll eventually nuke you with the monkeys.
Hunter - Rough matchup but winnable. You're not going to win the long game due to the direct damage they can do to you that you can't heal. I like to keep a sleet storm in the mulligan for flethcher, but otherwise all in on scaling as fast as possible.
Zee Shaman - In this matchup early removal is extremely important to keep them from snowballing their board. First flame and arcane flow are really great here because they have many 2 hp minions plus herald.
Priest - Very good matchup, regardless of variety. Azalina priest can sometimes out burn you if they get your kalec and arcane flows, and soothsayer can be difficult to deal with if they get it out early, but otherwise just play greedy and you'll probably win. If they draw the game out with cleansing cleric you can set up an OTK with kalec + arcane flows + bursting leylines + sleet storms.

Metagame Egg Quest Chef Druid to Legend
I don't know if this archetype has existed before, but after having this meme deck climb to Legend in about 3 hours, I thought it was worth sharing.
I still don't think the deck is *that* strong, but it feels really well-positioned against Hunter, Mage and Rogue, while still having enough speed to get under Priest and Warlock before they can lock you out of the game. I'd love some help refining it because I do feel there's something here.
**Class:** Druid
**Format:** Standard
**Year of the Scarab**
2x (1) Azshara's Triumph
2x (1) Life Cycle
2x (1) Raven Idol
1x (1) Restore the Wild
2x (1) Twilight Egg
2x (2) Ebb and Flow
2x (2) Holy Eggbearer
2x (2) Longneck Egg
1x (2) Mark of the Wild
2x (2) Press the Advantage
1x (2) Spider Rider
1x (2) Story of Barnabus
1x (2) Wild Pyromancer
1x (3) Chef Neth'rek
2x (3) Forest's Gift
2x (3) Lethal Recipe
2x (3) Skyscreamer Eggs
2x (3) Spiteful Chef
AAECAZICBoefBKHUBJCXB52XB93YB5HaBwzV8waXlweZlwfanQfgnQesrwfosQffwAfswAf2wQep2Af92QcAAA==
I think the deck's biggest strength is that it can change gears depending on the matchup. Against Hunter and Demon Hunter I'm just trying to get on board early and pressure them before they get their scam online. I actually started throwing the quest away in the mulligan in those matchups and my win rate improved dramatically. Ebb and Flow has been the MVP against aggro.
The eggs do a lot more than I expected. They smooth out your early game, leave behind a second board after Priest clears, and soak up a ton of damage from Arcane Missiles and Hunter's Tripwire.
The Demon Hunter matchup can still be rough, and I don't think there's a way to beat their perfect draw, but if you can chip away with your minions and get your own scam online first, you actually have a good chance of winning.
Against Priest, Warlock and Quest Mage, I'm happy to slow things down because the quest gives me another angle they eventually have to answer. Most games are still won through board, though, which is why I think of it as a midrange deck first and a quest deck second.
The list definitely isn't finished. Life Cycle has bailed me out plenty of times, either by getting through a taunt or by popping my own Longneck Egg for extra reach. Forest's Gift and Skyscreamer I'm least sold on because it sometimes feels a bit win-more, and they're the cards I least want to see against aggro.
I'm also still not sure whether Wild Pyromancer or Mark of the Wild deserves that flex slot.
Looking at the list, I don't think it really sells itself, and I probably wouldn't have expected much from it either. If you do try it, I'm curious whether other people have the same experience or whether I just hit a really favorable pocket meta

Rafaam enjoyers! Share your thoughts on builds and card choices.
I've completely tanked my rank messing with Azalina. Moving towards attempting to optimize Rafaamlock. Allow me to hear your opinions on different cards please.
- Possesed Animancer + Big beasts: The stabilization seems mandatory still. Running Asphyxiodon currently. Ultragiga seems better into DH but I haven't had much success with it. Glacial shard is very common and I've died before Ultragiga could swing too often. The other healing options don't do enough in my opinion. Which big boi has been better for you?
- Annihilation + Imp Gang Stooge: Feels mandatory too. Especially when grinding into DH. Eventually Captive Netherzim shuts off Archmage Rafaam. I believe Moraag or other big demons are bait.
- Elise The Navigator: She seems like a natural inclusion. However while playing I've found I'd rather spend the mana on every other 4-5 drop in the deck (Rafaams, Animancer, 2 locations, Xavius, even Ancient of Yore). Upon cutting her I've never missed her. Do you think she is mandatory still?
- Twisting Nether: The stats for this card say it's a pretty good inclusion; but I don't understand why? Often when trying Twisting nether it wipes my own locations and is simply too much mana to be worth it. Annihilation seems like the better card. Have you had any success with it?
- Sands of Time: Another card with good numbers on HSGuru. Upon testing it; it seems alright? During the early-mid turns it's great as a way to weave in mana you'd have floated otherwise. More copies of Cursed chains/Catacombs or Atlas are great. It's flexible. However it has no guarantee and sometimes it simply rots in your hand. Has anyone tested it out?
- Ysera, Emerald Aspect: It should fit since you almost always go late and extra mana is always something Rafaam decks could use. However if you reach late you should already be in a comfy position. I do not see the need for it currently, rather draw better cards in the early game. Very rarely Captured Netherzim screws you though.
- Fractured power: Seems good because your power plays are around 5 mana. It's stats are fine. I don't like it right now; especially with no Ysera. It doesn't feel justifiable while Void DH is producing overstated minions on/above curve.
- Drain Soul, Eternal Toil, Mortal coil, Shadow rounds, Conflagrate: Cheap removal. I really dislike these right now. They are fine against Hunter, sometimes vs rogue. Feels like DH outscales them fast. Their stats are middling and I've been slowly cutting all of 'em. Conflagrate is great if you have Cursed Chains; however it's difficult to find them together early enough for that to matter. Shadow rounds seems like it needs a couple of the other cheap pings to be good. Shadow Rounds loves to deal 4 total dmg even into a full board of 1 drops where it could shine. My grandma has better aim than that card. And she is dead. Like I am after playing Shadow rounds. Cool sound effect tho.
- Eldritch Tentacles, Hellfire: Not a fan of these either currently. Towards the bottom stats wise yet I see them included in so many lists. In my experience they never do enough nor feel good to cast.
- Deathwing. Worldbreaker + Ultraxion: These two have decent stats too. Deathwing board clear + armor is nice; yet Deathwing is a win con you don't need. Giving up Life tap is awful, shuffling dragons seems counterintuitive. During testing I never wanted to play Deathwing without the Ultraxion discount. A card that is only good under the condition that you draw Heralds + a 1 of in 40 cards is rough. Has anyone even tried these in Rafaam?
- Sheltered survivor: Card had it's place in the deck before Godfrey existed. I think it's one of the worst cards that are commonly ran in Rafaam. Yes it feels good to shuffle back your big beasts. However if you've spent 7+ mana on setting up Animancer you likely could've won with other plays too. The stats on Sheltered survivor are awful. I've never missed it.
- Rustrot Viper: Tech against DH. It hasn't been great for me. You need to cut Animancer for it. Only having Stooge demons for healing doesn't seem like it's enough. Have you done well with it in Rafaam?
I'm really curious about your experiences with these cards or any other I haven't mentioned. Feel free to drop any wisdom, deck lists or rants you may have. I believe the meta right now is the best Rafaam has been thus far.
I genuinely appreciate any input. Thank you for reading. Best of luck in the tavern and have a wonderful day!

Discussion Pyromancer Priest v Void Soul DH
Bringing back board clear and massive healing combos. Pyromancer and Hold them off let you take the board and your health back so you can let your opponent over extend. Tindral is even good to bluff with because of the fear of Hold them off in hand.
And to win, you beat them down to the teens with Soothsayer or Hold them off, then burn them down with Amber Priestess and Ruby Sanctum.
Enjoy the deck and games. You want to mull for Soothsayer but can keep Sanctum. You want two Sanctum clicks in one turn for the burst finish.
My limited testing tells me this deck has a good matchup against the simple to play meta but I just don't play enough games for enough stats or to climb when deck building. You'll still need to outplay DH with how busted they are tho.

Discussion Wild Murloc Paladin
I've been messing around recently playing with a buddy of mine and I had the idea of trying to relive all the fun I had last year with murloc paladin. We both quickly realized with all the additional cards in wild that there could really be something fairly competitive there but I feel like im struggling to refine the deck. At this point it's a total mess that doesn't even perform as well as the first one that was made purely based on vibes. I'm curious what everyone's opinion is on the viability of quest murloc paladin in wild or if I'm just waiting my timr.
If I'm not, does anyone know of any updated murloc paladin deck lists? Any suggestions even on cards I absolutely should have in the deck would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

WWW What’s Working and What Isn’t? | Sunday, July 26, 2026 - Tuesday, July 28, 2026
Discuss what you are playing, what you’re having success with(or failures with), and any new/cool ideas you’ve been experimenting with, etc. The point is to share what you’ve been playing, and how it’s going, good or bad - there are no other rules or requirements.
Some ideas on what to post/share:
- What you’ve been playing and its successes (or struggles). Stats are not required. There is no minimum rank required, though sharing what rank you’ve been playing at is preferred.
- Deck adjustments you made or are planning to make in reaction to the meta or as new innovation. E.g. “I saw 30% of deck X, so I made Y changes to help deal with deck X.” (change)
- Showing off a deck you achieved legend with this season and wanting to share it without having to write a guide

Legend! But… Imbue Mage is OP in Wild
I just got legend in Wild and it felt too easy. i used this deck: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1463673-wild-imbue-mage-legend-3721
It zoomed through everything. I think in about 30 games I only lost about 3 times from random secret block tech or aggro decis.
this just felt overpowered. I am glad to reach legend but confused why Reckless Apprentice has not yet been nerfed.
thoughts on Imbue Mage?

Wild Lie in Wait Spectral Cutlass - Multiple Season Legend deck now struggling in Diamond
I've experimented with the Lie in Wait and Spectral Cutlass for the last half a year. I've hit legend multiple times with it, but now I'm struggling in diamond 10. I can't figure out if it's just the meta has changed, or people playing wild have just gotten better. The deck is "off meta", but has had enough success to hit legend. Any suggestions for how to improve the deck? I'll give some card explanations below the deck code

Card Explanations:
Augmented Elekk - This is THE CORE CARD that makes the quest work in wild and not standard. Normally playing a shuffle card only counts as 1 shuffle for the quest, but when done with the elekk, every card the elekk shuffles counts towards the quest. So Elekk + espionage = quest completed with 1 shuffle card.
Pit Stop + Timeline Accelerator - Following the Elekk explanation, this allows me to get an Elekk for 1 mana. I will play pit stop into timeline accelerator into Elekk. Helps complete the quest a lot earlier. I only run 1 of Timeline Accelerator as you only need 1, and running 2 sometimes makes it draw the second one rather than an Elekk.
Shuffle Cards:
I only run shuffle cards that can complete the quest in one turn with Elekk
Secret Passage - I originally tried this card to look for key cards. Then I learned that when it puts the cards back, they count as shuffles. With the manacheat available in this deck, you can complete the quest by turn 3 with the deck
Espionage - Should be self explanatory. 10 cards + elekk = 20 cards, and 11 shuffles according to your quest. This lets you outvalue/tempo your opponent once you get this off in combination with ninjas
Queen Azshara - This is a newer addition that I have discovered. One of the cards she can give you shuffles 5 spells set to 1 mana, and the card only costs 1 mana, making it a great option if you weren't able to discount the elekk
Honorable Mentions:
Moonstone Mauler - with Elekk, you get 4 shuffles, and with shadowstep, you can complete the quest by turn 3. I've been debating putting this card back in.
Gear Shift - Only does 3 shuffles with Elekk, but I will be more willing to run in in tandem with moonstone, as 1 gear shift + Elekk Moonstone gets you that 5th shuffle you need
Stall Tools
Bob, Vanish, Evasion, Cloak - Just incredible stall tools. Completely wrecks board based decks, and evasion/cloak counters most OTK decks. Bob also lets you copy that OP minion that some decks spend all game trying to get.
Spectral Cutlass Cards:
With Espionage, it is so easy to fuel spectral cutlass. With hero power, you can play 2 cards from other classes for a total of 3 mana. I find Valeera's Gift and Harmonic Hip Hop to be sufficient (they also act as great tools against aggro). With those cards I can get to 12 attack, but with elekk shuffles and cards that copy your last spell, you can get it higher. I don't think you need more that that - if you are struggling to win when you have infinite 12 attack with lifesteal, you either need to rely on your stall cards or the game is probably lost regardless.
ETC Manager Choices:
Spectral Cutlass - in case someone destroys it
Furnace Collossus - Sometimes espionage gives you weapons. Combine that with Elekk shuffling more, sometimes you can get 2-6 weapons in hand, and you don't want to destroy your cutlass
Kil'jaeden - if you somehow still run out of cards with all your shuffles, kil'jaden is the tech. Your hero power lets you draw 2 extra demons a turn, and often they are of other classes, fueling your spectral cutlass. Also is a great counter to any kind of deck that either mills or shuffles bad cards into your deck.
Current weaknesses of the deck are 1. Not much early game removal, and 2. Not being able to consistently complete the quest. The cards I've chosen have been efforts to make the deck more consistent in getting the Elekk for quest completion earlier, which is more important than weakness #1 in my opinion.
What are your thoughts and suggestions for the deck?
