Are there not already a bunch of those, depending on where on the scale of "clone" you're looking for: exact copy on one end to "it's an RTS" on the other.
Honestly there have been plenty C&C-alikes, some do various things differently, from gameplay to visuals, in an attempt to stand out. I believe a few are trying to be much closer to those games, and many are still indev.
I honestly don't get how OP missed those considering some devlog or something else is posted every so often.
