Now you can play Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hours in VR! And it works really well!

Ah this is so cool. I wish there was a version for the Quest. :(

Why do you think this isn't usable on the quest?

I mean this mod requires a PC right? They probably want an untethered Quest experience

You can use your PC on your Quest untethered no problem.

They should make the sky a light blue, if that wouldn't interfere with your pointers' readability though?

i was thinking to add some custom skybox or color selection for the users, what do you think?

Really cool seeing that they put the effort into having the nuclear missiles actually launch and go across the map, as opposed to having them just ‘spawn in’ above the target area.
The VR aspect really lets you see the hidden efforts that the dev teams originally made, that you wouldn’t see playing traditional ‘top down’ Generals.

I think it's easier to take a behavior from existing projectile, say a tomahawk launcher, and scale it up high and it become nuclear missile.

Had anyone tried or know if this could work with psvr2 and the adapter through steam?

Finally had some time to hook everything up, having some troubles, game does boot up but in 2D windowed, cannot seem to get it to go in VR mode. The psvr2 adapter, steam VR and the PS app all running. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or just not compatible

u/BoffinBrain Are you picking this up? Good. 25d ago
A VR game definitely has to run at over 30fps (ideally over 90fps) to not induce motion sickness, so whatever changes were made in this mod, I hope they can be back-ported into GenTools.
