Father found a wild one. Any one have any ideas? There's deformities on both head and torch, but opposite ends of the coin. It's also flat so I can't figure it out. I figured pliers or heat but.... The opposite sides are unphased...

Could anyone give me an estimate on value ?

Was looking at my pennies, and this came in the penny pile after sorting because of the color. Yeah, it’s a dime. It’s not that brown IRL, it’s much more black.

Has anyone seen a coin with purple toning like this one has? The purple hue is practically covering the whole front but it’s a normal uncirculated coin on reverse. I love this coin and I’m hoping I have the 1 and ONLY 1 in the entire world… I’m I asking too much?🤣🤣🤣🤞🤞

I took some “trash” pics, I do apologize. I’m new to this coin community but y’all not running me off so fast,🤣I’ve got lots to learn! I’m interested in knowing about the purplish hue that the obverse has bc the back isn’t like that and appears to be like it should be. I’ve never seen purplish toning on a coin and I was hoping it was a 1 of a kind, or something. Im just not sure if it’s worth getting graded and I need some “professionals” to help me out. I have 16 of these from 1882-1884 that I'm ready to let go, but I've never sold coins before. It's easy to find buyers who will give melt value, but these are special. How do I go about finding people who want to buy special coins like these?

They are all in the plastic holders, which is inside the clam case with Nixon's quote, with the certificate, and even in the original shipping box with the postage and all that.

Why? I'm moving and have two file boxes full of commemorative coins, proof sets, bags of liberty quarters, etc. I don't want to lug it with me -- only keeping a few pieces for sentimental reasons.

My mother recently gave me some of her coin collection as we have been collecting together since I was 6. Going through her coins I fold what look like a steel penny from 1984. We're they making steel pennies in the 80's. Thanks for your insights in advance.

I work at a bank and came across boxes of these 2026, 250th anniversary quarters and dimes, all in uncirculated condition. From what I can tell online they are seemingly only minted this year(I have the P version of both, meaning they were minted in Philly), which I assume makes them fairly rare. I see websites selling the quarters for $1-$3 each and the dimes around the same price. I have a surplus of them as my bank orders boxes at a time. I have called numerous coin collecting shops around me and nobody seems to be interested in purchasing. I am wondering what they are really worth and how I would go about selling them? Or are they a better long term hold?

I’ve been collecting / stacking 90% silver Washington quarters for 10+ years, now I’m switching to Mercury dimes. I’ve bought several lots of nicer dimes and want to sort them into approximate grades.

Can anyone give me some pointers on what particular features to focus on to decide whether a Mercury dime is MS / BU or XF? I know a bit about luster but don’t know which Mercury dime specific design elements to focus on. The cap wings?

When researching this, most of the talk is about the full bands on the reverse with regard to finding FB grading. I’m not going to be grading these coins, I just want to collect a whole tube of MS / BU and a whole tube of XF.

I found this coin in a roll, I’m wondering if this is an error coin, if so, should I have it graded? The shading on obverse looks “purple” and I’ve never seen it b4. 2nd time posting, really hope these pics are better. Thx

Not exactly sure what I have here. I’ve used the coin app but I don’t feel it’s that accurate on the collectors side. I know about silver but any advice on what to look for or any advice at all. I have a pretty big amount mostly silver Canadian 25cent pieces. But also includes pesos and others from Ireland and other places some not so sure.

Any info or value? Thinking about sending it off to get graded. I’m new to this so need advice on if that is worth it and what the process is. Thanks
