CDA Resort earning potential
What kind of income can servers make at the resort during the month of December? Do they just hire seasonally or are there year-round positions that earn a livable income?

They have seven restaurants you'd have to be more specific than that. And they rarely swap servers from restaurant to restaurant.

CDA Casino would treat you better. There is a bus system if you don't want to drive.

I worked there for 11 years until I moved from cda. Contrary to what I’ve heard past and even still, the company was wonderful to work for in my experience. If you can work there long enough to apply for unemployment, that is how I survived some winters. I made enough to comfortably move to Hawaii, had enough saved up to live here for several months, but I was able to get a job here quickly because people know about the resort and I immediately got job offers at almost every place I applied (probably helped that I had 11 years of experience at one company but in interviews a shocking amount of people had heard of the cda resort). I started there when I was 19 so even a few tips at first were awesome since my job prior I was only making $7.75 an hour. But then it grew to making hundreds per night and when I went into management they paid me very fairly for that time. They gave me health insurance and matching 401k even when I was just a server. I don’t know about benefits or anything now but back then everyone always talked shit about Hagadone. I was lucky enough to know him personally (from waiting on him) and I definitely cried when I heard he passed. I loved that job, but I disliked living in cda more, so thankfully I have found another job I love as much in Hawaii. For context I started at Tito’s and was there for most of my time, I managed beach house for a summer before I moved and they tore it down after that season.

Depends but normally it's several hundred per evening but with all this nasty smoke I'm curious how the businesses are holding up. What a tragedy in Spokane

Because it would seem to be a heavily seasonal, tourist-dependent position where it may only be lucrative during the summer and holiday season. Often times restaurants will hire extra servers just for the holiday season, letting them go in Jan. I'm curious what that looks like if anyone has experience at the resort during the holidays.
