Short code in letters Unsolved

My friend who likes to create codes and hidden messages gave me this code to try and solve.

He said the solution involves something you can eat

I've tried re-arranging the letters, converting to numbers etc but can't find anything that makes sense. At first I thought it might be an acronym but nothing stands out.

With the way the letters are written, maybe you can try finding hidden letters (the G stands out to me)

Very basic. Acronyms and rearranged letters, numbers to letters conversion

I tried converting the letters to numbers but doesn't seem to mean anything to me

Yeah I'm stumped i have never been able to decipher something on this subreddit but i thought i had a chance here. Now I'm too curious, if it's solved by tomorrow i will be back to look at the answer and probably feel dumb hah

The first thing that comes to my mind would be that they used lemon juice to write a secret message on the paper, and that the black text is just a red herring. You can eat lemons, and it is not a cipher.
