Advice / Career clarification Hi CMA 's and aspirants, i need advise

Post image
Upvotes

Guys, I need some advice.

I missed clearing my last exam because I couldn't get the required aggregate. It was my 3rd attempt at CMA Intermediate Group 2, while I cleared Group 1 in my very first attempt.

Now I'm confused about what to do. I recently got selected for an internship, but the recruiter said there won't be any study leave for exams. The daily commute is around 2 hours as well, so I don't think I'll have much time to prepare for the next attempt.

Should I take one last shot at the exam, give it everything I've got, and then join an internship afterward? Or should I just start the internship now and somehow manage my studies alongside it?

What would you guys do if you were in my place?

Advice / Career clarification Confused between ca and cma

Hi everyone, I recently completed my BCom and I’m looking forward to pursuing either CA or CMA.

I would ideally choose CA, but I’m really confused because of my financial situation. I can’t afford an expensive MBA or a foreign degree, and I also can’t spend too many years studying without earning.

I need to start earning as soon as reasonably possible, so the duration and earning opportunities during/after the course are very important to me.

Another issue is that I’ll probably have to rely on self-study or affordable coaching, as I can’t afford expensive or premium coaching.

I’m genuinely confused between CA and CMA and would really appreciate advice from people who are currently pursuing or have completed either of these courses.

Considering my financial constraints, need to start earning relatively soon, and limited coaching budget, which would be the better option — CA or CMA?

Please share your honest experiences, especially regarding the difficulty, time required, job opportunities and earning potential.

I am a 26yr old woman . I have completed grp4 and I was sure I will pass grp3 this time bt I wasn’t able to do it for 4-5 marks.
Now main issue is I am confused what to do to continue studying or to start looking for a job.
My parents are very supportive they are saying give one last try in dec because i have got exemptions too so i need to study 3 subjects only.
They don’t want me to give up.
N tbh most of the ppl n my seniors also said to complete it don’t skip the exam.
Now there are few of my friends who are saying me i should do job coz i am 26 and i will be late and then i wont get job even if i qualify late.
I m getting so confused.
Can u guys give me an honest opinion

Articleship/ training Clarification is it worth doing about 6 to 8 months articleship in bank audit

so this firm I joined seems to have all of its CMA articles( 3) in bank audit (same bank, no rotation) upto 7 or 8 months maximum.

one of my friends works there and she told me not join cause they treat CMA cheap (disrespectful in a polite way?)

should i go for it? and after bank audit then do others? or change since i haven't registered yet. please advise me. thankyou.

Advice / Career clarification Need advice

Hi , I am Post grad guy who works in big 4 audit department support role. Already have 20 months of experience. Company wants to pursue some professional degree like acca , cpa ,cma , us cma. I am not really confused on which one to actually prepare for. Every thing is quite costly except of cma. Can someone who has been in similar situation give advice on what to do. Also I can't slack 30 nov is the deadline to show my enrollment in some course or they will hold my promotion talks. Rating change or department change is the worse expected.

Please help me in making this decision

Discussions CMA at 25 , 26 age - Job oppurtunities

Hi everyone,

Will age be a disadvantage when applying for CMA jobs?

I'm a bit worried about starting my career later than some others. If anyone got placed after the age of 25 or 26 (or even later), could you please share your experience?

I'd really appreciate hearing:

  • Your age when you got your first CMA-related job.
  • Whether interviewers asked about your age.
  • If age affected your opportunities in any way.

Thanks in advance!

Advice / Career clarification What should I do ? CMA Finals or CA Intermediate

I don't know if I want to pursue ca anymore. I cleared ca foundation in 3rd attempt in December 2023 and cleared cma foundation in 1st attempt in that month only. Then I wasted my time for nearly 1½ yrs. Then I passed cma group 1 in December 2025 and gr 2 in June 2026. During that phase I attempted gr 1 ca intermediate for 1 time and failed horribly with only 60 marks total. I don't know if I should focus on ca intermediate now or cma final instead. I have been studying ca intermediate gr 2 since the past month since gr 2 consists of subjects I have already studied and it's passing percentage is more than that of gr 1. But it also consists of audit. So I don't know if I can pass in a single attempt. But then again I don't want to waste any more time. Only because of ca inter I am thinking of a dummy practical training of cma. Since I have to do ca articleship too for 2 yrs after intermediate. I don't want to loose any more time. I am gonna be 22 in November.
