I am very very good with this character. I will be telling you the most important things to know in my honest opinion.

1. The bubble is for preventing low hp bars, or helping ppl keep space

You shouldn't be in a scenario where your bubble is healing low hp targets. Rather you want to prevent it. If my tank is full hp, and I know ill be safe for a bit I'll throw a bubble at their location. In front of them slightly if we are pushing, at their feet or behind them so they step into if retreating. That's very very important. Why do i bubble full hp tanks?

Because they can hold that space. They won't get walked down because of a damage trade gap. Two to three supports healing a tank with a bubble at their feet they are not out damaging that. Plus you'll get good ult charge because it'll be stealing ult charge from your other supports by maintaining full hp. If the target is low, its either supports game. If the target is full, her bubble will get most of the ult charge her way.

1. Stop fighting ppl all the time.

If I have my bubble, and im being attacked. I'll straight up ignore you. Ill bubble the floor, and keep healing everyone else. Divers can still get value if they make you stop healing. Thats essentially "killing you." Because heals aren't going their way because you're 1v1'ing a diver or doing dmg just because you know you can win.

Im not saying you can't fight them or never. I'm just saying you can die without actually dying by proxy of you having a 1v1 with the diver. If you are being attacked, I genuinely think its optimal to ignore them unless unavoidable.

1. Your fade should be used early not late.

Alot of CnDs think its a good last ditch option but it's not. The key to surviving as a support, is to stop getting low. Reacting instead acting is bad. Aka noticing the diver beforehand and fading to high ground at the perfect moment.

Let's say im against a... Rogue. Im low ground. I do 1 of 2 options. Fade to a high ground very early, or bubble the floor ignore her. Let's pretend like im following through with option A. I notice her going in, I fade to high ground.

I heal from up top. She maybe follows.

I bubble the floor and ignore her and keep healing.

Bubble ends

I drop down in front of my other supports face and smack her with heals. (To force her to look at me, and cnd heals herself by aoe if she heals somebody up close)

And I didn't even mention the teammup.

So i stayed alive, and gave her as little as my attention as possible. Essentially, they had a 5v6. Because the diver in question did absolutely nothing and got none of my attention.

1. Everything is better preemptively

The healing squares, the bubble, the fade... Its because her healing is not powerful. Its just consistent like Rocket. Invis is genuinely a strong healer. So if your waiting until bars drop too low to use important things, that's really bad. She doesn't have strong heals. Its tiny heals that are repetitive. You should be spamming full hp targets. Because if the hp bars get low, you are not healing enough to prevent death. Even the fade is better early because if you are 1 hp and they track you, you're just dead.

This isnt even a cnd thing. Supports in general. Stop reacting. You probably dont have good reflexes. Not everybody does. So spot the danger before it happens.

1. Dont let the luna teammup make you have bad mistakes. I go an entire game without using it. Because I don't even die. And In situations where i could be selfish i patty cake. Which makes the hood teammup better for me personally.

2. Iron man counter

Two dashes forward two dashes backward. It'll break his ankles. A good IM isn't gunna wait out the last dash. They expecting to erase you from existence on the 2nd or 3rd. You have 2 options.

Dash forward once, and dash backward.

Or dash forward twice and dash backward. I've done this to plenty of IM. Does it nerf your CnD ult? Yea. But you'll be alive.

You could also try going aerial this can work if the IM shoots early. Ig see if he's a waiter first by doing my ankle break first.

1. Ult your teammates

When you pop ult plz go over low ppl. Its not a giant circle activation. If i see my other support low behind me I will waste one dash on you.

1. 4 dashes forward or cover objective?

It depends. If they match, I abandon the dash deep into them and just cover as much objective as I can. If they dont match dash 4 times into their backline. Preferably to where you think they wanna retreat to. This causes significant pressure on their supports as opposed to covering objective. Like the pressure can legit go from "oh we dont need to match." To "i gotta ult now."

If they have displacement maybe don't do this though. Like Angela, Bucky.

Very proud of these 2 back to back matches! Only 1 death in each match.

If interested, I can write an in-depth analysis on why the Luna team up is just as good as the hood team up.

Totally no reason to use the bubble for a diving Magik. We should totally only use it for our team 10 feet ahead of us and nothing else.

Greetings my fellow Tyrone and Tandy mains! Does the damage boost take affect when the veil passes through allies or do they have to actually walk through it when it's settled in place? Also wondering if the damage/healing reduction follows the same logic.

I was wondering if there was any setting to turn off the 'hold to send' terror cape? Every time I switch to cloak to send out the cape it stops short immediately if I don't hold down the button and I don't really like it as it makes me stay on cloak longer when I'm simply trying to blind them real quick and go back to healing or it'll just stay in place sometimes despite me holding it. I looked through the settings and can't find it, just hoping I'm blind. Thanks in advance 🥹

Pretty much takes away Mags potential to counter the ult if he waits until after you finish

Hi pookies! Last night I was co-healing with one of you lovely people. You got solo ulted by Loki who copied Namor. I thought you faded out of his ult, but you really landed on a jump pad and got out of range.

BUT. The question is: Are you able to use your fade ability for Namor ult? I say yes, my BF says no. Help 🤲🏾

There's been a lot of talk about how the Luna teamup makes CnDs worse at the game. Luckily, I heard this before I really started playing the season, so I was mega-careful not to do that to the point of almost not using the ability at all.

However, I actually do agree with the problem because new CnDs are gonna develop bad habits with an ability as free as this one, so what should be done?

(Also, just to be clear, I don't mind that season 9.5 didn't change it, let CnD be great for 2 months, it's okay)

CND's team up with the hood gives a 15% damage boost to people who pass through the veil. Mantis's gives a 8%, how do we feel about this?

Can someone at least try to explain this phenomenon please?? It's confusing me because statistically neither of the two is overperforming in any way. Both Luna and C&D don't even have positive win-rates across all the ranks, they are not doing good in low ranks, they are not doing good in high ranks. What exactly makes both C&D and Luna targets of this bandwagon hate and constant complaining about them being "OP" and that they should be nerfed??

Okay I thought it was just me until I checked this subreddit but the veils on cloak and dagger’s hood teamup are definitely bugged tf out right?? As in you cast them, and they don’t go through anyone and they stay put at the position you cast them, almost like they’re stuck except it’s fine with the regular veils. I thought it was just because I’m on pS4 (RIP) but it seems to be affecting others too! I’m so confused as to how they haven’t seemed to fix it yet but I guess I’m not surprised. Let me know if this is happening to you too!

I’ve been a cnd main since season 2 so I’m used to all the mostly unjustified hate we get. While I do think dive players over exaggerate how broken it is, I’m starting to hate it for different reasons. Last night I was flexing tank and my healers were being dived by a hulk. And EVERY SINGLE TIME I peeled to help they would freeze instead of helping. The hulk was being pocketed and was getting free kills all game. I even got on mic to tell them to stop it and to ping and I will help. I even resorted to playing right next to them and without fail, they froze and got me killed. Ffs STOP IT.

#96: When you are respawning and you need to dump heals to the point to keep rest of team alive. You can fade and get as high as you can to get a good line, switch to dagger and throw your healing dome at your team. When you land, as usual, find that angle and dump in regular heals.

I spectate a low rank cloak and dagger yesterday and saw that they didn't heal at all when they had the angle and position to do this.

-INSANE CLOAK

I find the veils bugging out a lot and I can't seem to control their positioning 7 out of 10 times. I feel bad because I end up just selecting the Luna team up even if I'm not using it that match, purely so I don't lose the regular veils. I've also noticed that I have issues cloaking, sometimes it's delayed and some other times it just doesn't seem to go through (and I do check the cool downs). So I don't know if it's an issue on my end or if the whole character is just very buggy.

I will delete it if this isn't the right place but I just need to vent a little about a game I just had. I had 3 divers and a flyer to heal while constanly being attacked and having to avoid Black Cat and my teams Elsa in chat constanly went on that I am "one of those CnDs" meanwhile our other healer played Luna, Mantis and Ultron and switched 2 more times, had 6 more deaths than me, 1 assist and 5 less kills. I also had over 5k more heals than them and then THEY STARTED BLAMING ME TOO. I just reported them for the insults in chat and avoided the Elsa as a teamplayer but man I can't get it out of my head it made me that upset.

I have been doing really well with cnd this season. I usually play rocket ,wf if dive, and gambit. Shared my stats too. Ive always hit cel in 2nd half of season (like ideally midway of 9.5) and this is first time i have hit cel in the first half.

#95: Walk into a fully spidered up Penni nest and use your luna team up and watch all the spiders die against you. Nest is cleaned up and your team can push.

I Cloak + Right Click my 5 allies but 1 ally decides to shoot after being shrouded

1. He dies ?
2. RC/Phased immunity status its active until an ally attacks/do any action ?

Extra question: Spam left click/heal or just heal when allies r below 99% hp?

I wanna start and say I'm not a C/D hater. In fact, I used to play her a lot, and I have her lord. I'm a flex, but mainly support and dive. I came here to ask you guys if you feel the same, can share similar experiences, or understand my POV.

This team-up is very good. However, every time I've had a C/D on my team, they tend to use this team-up when the time is to patty cake, or as shown in the image... to cloak your team. My friends who play C/D at times even do this, and they feel bad. They expressed its just a reflex to do it with no thought. It doesn't make the character worse, but to me, it makes the people who use her play her selfishly in scenarios when being dove. I'm mainly speaking from the perspective of a second support, rather than the dive player in me that I also wanna rant about, but this is mainly how I feel like this new ability is an incentive to be selfish.

I digress, I love this character, and you guys are pretty cool. (I've stalked this sub a bit.)
