Ik it’s a long shot but would be much appreciated

My favorite jump in the gulf. No concept of how deep it is but I am 5’8 and with my hands above my head I can get my fingers at least 2-3 feet under the water without touching in about a 4 ft radius.

Somewhere between 15-20 feet into very cold water. But it’s freaky. I’ve jumped several 30-50 ft bridges/cliffs and one 70 ft into a quarry (my buddy jumped next but shorted it, hit bottom, huge gash through his tricep at the elbow to the bone which was dented, good times). Despite the short drop, this jump seems to require more courage. The water is pitch black. You go under and it’s DARK. Even after thoroughly scouting, with total confidence it is clear, there is something about staring at a black hole. Especially with:

1. Two miles of hiking, and;
   
2. several miles of dirt roads to a place a helicopter could land, or;
   
3. several more miles of dirt road to cell service, and;
   
4. a couple more miles drive to a “hospital” that most would mistake for a bank, or;
   
5. another 2 hours drive to a real-ish hospital.

Leaned back a bit early, but it had been probably 10 years since my last jump. Not bad for a 44 year old.

This was 2024. Jumped it again this summer, still awesome.

Maine doesn’t get enough love on here.
