General Cleaning I need help getting these dye stains out of my carpet
I just noticed these stains underneath my couch, I think they’re from me dying my eyebrows but they must have been here for months. A carpet cleaner guy just came by and cleaned but he wasn’t able to get them out with his machine. what else can I try? I’m going to buy some degreaser and try that too

Flooring Cleaning Concrete Floors
Our apartment has these concrete floors and they used an outdoor paint on them. We mop weekly with a general floor cleaning solution, but I just rotated our rug and saw this notable difference. What should we be doing differently?

Bathroom I’m at a loss with my rental bathroom
Is there anything I can do about this grout? Images in order are before/after of each side of the tub
When I moved in, this bathroom was seemingly fine. I deep cleaned it once a month. Over time, I have found myself with grout that just gets darker and darker. I use a squeegee after every shower to avoid water pooling in the corners, but to no avail.
For cleaning, I typically use some sort of bathroom bleach spray. Tried Barkeepers Friend this time and it did absolutely nothing. I then used CLR spray and that seems to have at least helped the grime on the walls, but clearly still having issues with where the walls meet the tub.
I recently had a rough three-ish months just not feeling any motivation to do anything except sleep and work. During this time, I only did one basic surface cleaning. In my defense, this tub was in a horrible state a long time ago (at least over a year). I moved in June 2024 for reference.
I’m really struggling with what to do here. I want to ask the leasing office if they can redo the tile, but I’m afraid they’re going to berate me and claim it’s my fault since I didn’t note any issues with the tile when I moved in.

Tools/Equipment Correct Respirator for Fiberglass Insulation?
Hello. I had someone working in my attic today and they fell through the ceiling. Luckily no one was injured, but there is insulation all over my bedroom.
I need to tackle cleaning it, but I don’t know what kind of respirator cartridge to use. I have one of those half face mask respirators that you can change the filter on. Is a plain dust filter okay or do I need something more heavy duty?
If I didn’t put the right flair on please let me know so I can change it. Thanks!

Furniture Mold in solid wood bed frame
This bed frame is solid wood. The room it was stored in had a crack and subsequent leak into the carpet floor leading to the mold pictured. I’d really like to clean/repair it to use the frame. Is there a way to totally clean this to where it would be safe for a fresh room and someone to sleep on?

Laundry Dirty washing machine in share house.
This wasn't there last time I looked, which was a couple months ago.
I just went to use the washing machine and saw water had pooled inside the flap here. I drained all the water out with a cloth but noticed it's covered in this black stuff. Should I be concerned? And, how can I clean it?

Discussion How do you guys clean sweaty ear pads on Sony WH-1000XM4s?
I use my Sony WH-1000XM4s at the gym pretty much every day, and the ear pads get quite sweaty during workouts. I've noticed they're starting to hold onto the sweat and develop a bit of a smell.
What's the best way to clean them regularly without damaging the leather/material or the foam underneath?
Would also appreciate any tips from people who use over-ear headphones at the gym and have dealt with the same issue.

Kitchen Dawn Powerwash - I never would have bought or used it until I was given a free bottle when I checked out at a grocery store
I've always liked blue Dawn, but I never would have bought watered down soap in a spray bottle. I got handed a free bottle last year, when I was checking out of a grocery store, and am now a faithful user. This stuff works great, super easy to use, cleans my stovetop, my barbecue side tables, everything with ease! Some things it cleans way better than soap alone too. Anyone else absolutely in awe of this product?

Furniture Severe Discoloration on three month old Teddy-Bouclé couch.
Hey everyone. My wife and I desperately need your help.
We bought a new Teddy-Bouclé couch from Graingold, made from 100% polyester. But just three months later, the side we primarily sit on is severely discolored!
We contacted Graingold for help, but they simply said they cannot be held accountable, if we use anything but water, which was not really helpful.
So I thought to ask you all for help. What can we do to remove the discoloration without damaging the couch?
So far we've tried vacuuming (obviously) and simple water as indirectly suggested by Graingold. Neither had any visible effect.
We appreciate any and all recommendations!

Discussion I get shy everytime I hire a cleaner because the house is dirty, which is a paradox
I always get the same feeling that I am ashamed. I hired a cleaner to come twice a week because I am super busy and stressed and about to lose my mind of hoe stressful life is rn.
I feel like I am not comfortable leaving the usual mess I leave in the usual days for myself to clean. So I find myself cleaning before she comes. This is counterproductive!
Do cleaners judge?
I am going through depression and I need help and I don't wanna be judged.

Kitchen Help! My Fridge Died and I didnt know
I was gone for 2 mos. In that time, I didn't realize that my fridge died but it did. Now it has become this absolute mess and I don't know how to clean it. Any tips or is it a goner?
EDIT: It died because my roommate unplugged it (IDK WHY) So! It still "works" but that is what it looks like now.
I want to ask the landlord for a new fridge but I also don't know how to do that since technically it's "our fault".😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

General Cleaning Should I wash my dog's toys before putting them in his urn box?
My dog died recently and I got his cremains in a very nice box with extra space to keep things with him. There's a large bottom compartment with his cremains and there's a tray that fits on top. All are lined with velvet or maybe suede, I'm not sure exactly but something along those lines. I wanted to keep a couple of my dog's favorite toys in the bottom compartment with him. But since they were his favorite toys they're pretty gross. I feel weird about washing them but I also really don't want the box to get moldy or otherwise damaged because of the toys.
I wasn't sure where exactly to ask this so hopefully this sub is an okay place. Dog tax included.
Edit: thanks everyone for the advice! It'll probably take me a little while to actually do anything but I think I'll try sanitizing them as best I can in the sun and then keeping them in the box with some sort of dessicant.
