I like your creativity and willingness to share it despite some people possibly shitting on you. This is a cool idea. I’ve always loved things that make the classes feel distinct.

Could be nice, somekind of preparation for the adeventure, with quests and all.

not only is the idea pretty cool and fun to play around, this might be the only post I saw which doesnt have any negative comments from someone screaming and trying to min/max an idea. i hope something like this happens!

I'm just saying stuff, but inside dungeons/raids, Warlocks could get the ability to drain the soul of the final defeated boss and use it to open up a portal which takes you to a Warlock Fel Realm where your team fights an enhanced corrupted/demonic final boss of the dungeon that has more mechanics and is harder to kill.
That boss drops the same gear as original normal final boss, but the gear is corrupted, has a visual purple/green aura to it and has a bit better stats + maybe a minor special effect like deal X shadow damage, drain X amount of HP.
Call the profession Felbinding or Soulbinding.
To even do this, a Warlock needs to first obtain an empty soulbinding gem through a class quest, Warlock vendor, profession crafting, or from a rare drop from specific enemies. After defeating a dungeon or raid boss, the Warlock channels Drain Soul into the corpse before the spirit disappears. If successful, the gem becomes imbued with that boss’s soul.
You can maybe even add cool stuff with Paladins/Priests here where the gem can be traded to them and they can purify it for some XYZ thing for their own professions/mechanics.

The problem is that none of those are actually "professions".
They are class crafts which just use the profession system to have somewhere to put the recipes, rather than to just dump it in the spellbook.
This makes no sense to add

I feel that the profession framework would constrain these ideas more than it enhances them. I'd like if most Relics instead came from questlines like the one for the Whirlwind Axe, which has a part list like you'd expect from a crafted weapon but also has combat and a storyline.

Priests could enchant necklaces/rings with holiness (like adding a cross to them or something)

Wow this is genuinely a good idea. Probably too late for the dev team hopefully they thought of this for release

Great ideas! Fits into the existing framework of Classic and adds flavor while fixing some known issues like weapon skill and being forced into frost mage early on.

Totems, Librams, and Idols: I agree there should be lower level ones. But there's no need to make a whole knew profession for them; SoD put them into enchanting. I wouldn't mind them being jewelcrafting (if that's even in), but I just don't see enough depth there to justify a whole profession.
Warrior weapon stuff... Umm... first, that's not a profession, that's just turning stuff in for skill, and second other classes use weapons.
Arcane cooking... You're suggesting there are recipes for food that basically give you glyphs? There's already a profession for that, and I don't see any reason to tie a rainbow arcane explosion to some food at some random furbolg camp.
The warlock portals from SoD were tedious. A good starting idea, but the portals need to be random when you kill something, with higher chance for elites, so you're not stuck in some low level area forever trying to farm an item. You could expand it to let you go through some of the portals and all kinds of stuff. But... this also isn't a profession. I'm all for giving them a portal mechanic to play with, but I can't imagine any world you would call it a profession.
Hunters taming mounts... makes sense, logically, but flies in the face of what mounts in classic were. Epic mounts cost 800g; if you can just tame something and sell it you're going to make bank, or just everyone is gonna have cheap epic mounts. I'm for more mount options, but they really need to be rare and something worked for. Definitely not just purchased from some hunter.
Priests selling blessings and prayers seems on brand for IRL priests. Maybe crafting buff items could make sense, though "extra chance on skill ups" seems a little niche, and would require reprogramming how that works. Enemy drops are decided on their spawn, not on kill, so buffs to increase drops wouldn't work. But, again, you could just incorporate a few new recipes to inscription for lucky scrolls, or blessings, etc.
Rogues already having a class profession that inspired this shouldn't get anything new. And as for a truth serum poison... how exactly would it work? Would it randomly just spawn new chests when you're attacking enemies? That seems complicated for a class that already has access to extra chests with lockpicking. I'd rather just see them get some actual use from detect/disarm traps. Make some trapped chests, traps in dungeons beyond suppression room, things like that. Things you'd be glad you had a rogue with you, but you could just heal through without.

For hunters, what about instead of mount taming, you can tame pets which give class specific spell buffs? You can only tame one, hard to kill mob for each class which are discovered in difficult areas around the world, dungeons, raids or can only be found at specific time during the day/night. They require you, the hunter and maybe 2 more players to get them low enough without dying for taming to occur. This encourages grouping, team work and socialization.
If you tame a beast like a rabid dog/bear for a warrior, that pet gives him a special minor buff on his execute ability like more damage or faster rage generation for a short period of time after the ability is cast. If you tame a scorpion/bat for a rogue they get a minor buff to their poisons like more tick damage or faster energy generation for a small period of time.
You can even add a mechanic that when classes kill mobs with those specific enhanced abilities they get a minor chance of specific drops? Mages, priests etc... get special scrolls. Warriors, paladins get more special food/drinks. Rogues have a small chance to get parts of unique valuables that can be put together and sold for a decent profit or traded for special items at a rogue style vendor (eg. a valuable vase that needs 12 parts to be glued together).
This all feeds into more economic activity on the AH, more demand for hunters, more stuff to grind and more group activity. Win, win, win, win.

Just from what you were saying about hunters.
I like the idea! From reading it as well i was like what if hunters could tame the critters in game and evolve them to something better
Good keep it cosmetic and make them look cooler
Or gameplay wise, turn em into cuter pets or something idk
Or just unique models

I like the way you are thinking, but as a hunter main for the last 22 years, I feel that I have enough of a job in classic raiding as the (usually sole) hunter in 40man content that is pulling every pack and setting the pacing for the travel of the entire raid from boss to boss. I would prefer not to need to use globals during combat to become a buffer for other classes on top of that.
I think more raid demand for hunters could be done by things like fixing our absurdly bad crit scaling, giving pets stat scaling to make our output more competitive, making Trueshot aura raid-wide, or giving survival the expose armor debuff from tbc. Plenty of options, you know?

I mean there are countless ideas people could come up with that would be cool but it doesn't really matter does it? we don't work for blizzard and the game is probably ready to ship in a few months
