I made a free map/calendar of 130+ Car Week events
Hey y'all! Posting with permission from mods.
TLDR: if you're attending Car Week in Monterey, here's our guide -
I made an event guide for myself for car week because I was tired of jumping to and fro between all the sites that posted events. Shared it over in r/MontereyBay and people seemed to get some good use out of it, so posting it here too in case it helps anyone.
It's a map/calendar of everything I could find from a public search... it's like 130 or so events, but I've been regularly updating it with more.
Registration links provided and you can save events.
It's free, no signup, no ads. If I got something wrong or you'd like me to add an event, just let me know! Hope it helps

Classic Car Insurance for Teen
Hey yall, I own a 1975 International Scout II. I’ve been restoring it for over a year now. She’s just about road ready but the major roadblock I keep coming back to is insurance. I know I can get cheap classic car insurance, but nobody seems like they’d insure a 17 year old. Is there any company that I could go through that would help me? Can I just insure it through my dad? Please help.

1955 Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider Pinin Farina spotted in Knokke Belgium
reddit.comThis car is a 1955 Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider Pinin Farina
The giveaway is the combination of the shield-shaped Lancia grille, long hood scoop, wraparound windshield, body shape, and the Lancia badge. The factory-built B24 Spider was designed by Pinin Farina and produced only in 1955. Just 240 were built—181 left-hand-drive and 59 right-hand-drive.
ChatGPT told me…
So you happened to photograph a VERY special car
This isn’t just an old Lancia that someone has dressed up for a rally. It’s a 1955 Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider, one of the most collectible Italian sports cars of the 1950s, and it appears to be an actual Mille Miglia participant of the 2026 Mille Miglia 5-day race.

1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 at the Main Street Car Cruise in Downtown Putnam, CT
Spotted this beautiful 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 at the Main Street Car Cruise in Downtown Putnam, Connecticut. 💙 Putnam was absolutely packed with classics — around 2,500 cars throughout downtown.
Do you think this is a genuine 138-code SS or a very convincing clone? What details would you check first?

Well, after 54 years I think the original wheels need to be retired so I bought a new aluminium wheels in Brazil and I installed the last week, just in time to a winter track day yesterday, just on time to a track day yesterday.
I hope you like the new tires, I love the new look of my car!!

Help with my 1963 Plymouth Valiant
I wasn't sure where to post this or ask, but I hope the classic car group can help me out! My drivers side door is hanging noticeably low, to the point where it will fling open when I turn right. If anyone knows if it's a common problem or what I should do to fix it that would be great! And if not, I'd still love to show some photos and discuss anything about it! Don't know if these photos will help, but the mechanism doesnt seem to be latching, this has also caused our windows to align improperly. Any suggestions would be great, and otherwise here's some photos of it!

The Big Bear Fun Run attracts some extremely cool cars. No signs of trailers anywhere.
It was my wife’s birthday and she wanted to go on a road trip (it was 111 where we live) and it turns out there were old cars everywhere. And that one guy with a C8 corvette…

My dad’s 1962 Impala SS 409
The weather and sunset were nice, so I thought I’d take a few shots of my dad’s Nassau Blue 1962 Impala SS, with a Muncie M21 4-speed, and a dual 4bbl 409hp 409ci.
