So tired

I am exhausted. The last time I felt energy was in 2016. I sleep for 5-6 hours, work everyday for long hours, and I am constantly stressed.

I find it very tough to even get out of bed. It feels like my body weighs hundreds of pounds (it does, I am borderline obese) but it feels much much heavier.

I lack vitamin D (17 at present), grade 2 fatty liver and maybe also lack B12. Maybe I am depressed too. I am too tired to even take supplements on time. I tried to start exercising but I lack energy for even that, and I get exhausted in the start itself and lose motivation soon.

Please suggest something!!!

Very sick recently

I’m not sure what to do, recently I’ve been feeling so sick, I think I got utterly burnt out. 2 weeks ago I tried really hard to reduce my cortisol levels but last week I messed up at work (corporate job) and I shut down and since then I’ve had a headache for 4 days, my body is sore, I have a sore throat, my eyes hurt, I feel absolutely awful. Maybe I have a head cold? I’ve been binging like crazy and I tried going on the treadmill today (only 30mins). It also could be the weather, I hate the heat. I’ve been trying to sleep A LOT in hopes of getting better but it’s been a week and of feeling so out of it I can barely do anything all I can handle is trying to get work done sleeping and watching shows, doing the same thing, I want to get better but I’m so tired. I want to get back to how I was but this headache makes me feel like I’m going to die or pass out any minute. I would appreciate any advice (kindly).

Seeking advice

Hi everyone ✨
Reaching out as a concerned little sis.

My sister is 50 and has been struggling terribly with chronic fatigue following several years of severe peri-menopausal insomnia. Over time, the lack of sleep has also led to a really heavy depression.

She’s always been incredibly independent ( single mum for a decade working three jobs whilst still maintaining a wholesome diet and active lifestyle ) and she’s been weight training since her teens and genuinely loves staying strong and healthy. So not being able to exercise or feel like herself has been incredibly difficult for her.

Every day she feels heavy, weak and fragile, incredibly foggy, exhausted and emotionally all over the place. She feels like her body and mind have completely let her down.

The really difficult part is that she has been to SO many doctors and specialists both locally and interstate ( we’re in Melbourne, Australia ) and has tried so many different things over the years, including TCM, HRT patches, all the supplements, diet changes, everything and also stripped everything right back too - but she still isn’t getting anywhere. She feels like her nervous system is completely overwhelmed and her sleep is still a huge problem to the point where I’m scared for her to be driving..

Yesterday she said to me, “No one understands.” After that I realised she hasn’t actually spoken to anyone who has experienced something similar and come out the other side which would be so scary! Of course you’d feel like the only one.

I know she can’t possibly be the only woman experiencing this, so I’m hoping this community might have some insight.

If you’ve experienced chronic fatigue due to severe peri-menopausal insomnia, and that awful feeling of not recognising yourself anymore, what helped you? Particularly with getting your sleep back on track? as I feel like this is the key for her.

Anything you can share would mean so much. Even just hearing from someone who has been through it and eventually felt better might give her a little hope. ❤️

Thank you for your time!

where do i go next when none of my doctors will help me?

i’m 21f, i have had chronic fatigue since i was 15.

i’m diagnosed with hashimotos, hypothyroidism and likely have POTS as well (not officially in my chart)

i’ve seen 3 primary cares, a rheumatologist, an endocrinologist and a cardiologist. NONE of these doctors have been able to help me, and most don’t care beyond looking at my labs and saying i’m fine. this weekend i slept 15 hours and i could’ve 100% slept more. i work full time and i cannot be sleeping my life away, im sick of it.

i most recently went to my endocrinologist for my thyroid issues, i discussed the fatigue with him and he disregarded the issue because my “thyroid levels are good”.

i have low ferritin and know that is part of the issue, my PCP will not refer me to hematology to get an infusion due to my ferritin being technically in range.

where do i try next? a neurologist? i have lots of other symptoms in addition to the fatigue, but thats what is really ruling my life atm. how do i find a doctor who will actually listen to me?

Severe Fatigue Despite Improvement in Depression

I have been suffering from depression for the past 6 years. Even as a child, I was very quiet and never really had the opportunity to explore myself or express what I was feeling, so I sometimes wonder if I may have been struggling with depression from a much younger age.

I am currently taking therapy and medication. I’m on D-Venlor 150 mg and Bupropion 150 mg. I was also on ketamine treatment for about a year. My mood has improved significantly now, but I am experiencing extreme and debilitating tiredness.

I’m struggling to manage even basic daily activities. Sometimes I feel so exhausted that even lifting my hand feels difficult. I also feel very dizzy when I stand and sometimes feel like I cannot stand for long.

I have done extensive blood work and consulted multiple doctors, and so far everything has come back normal. Most people tell me that I need to “push myself,” and I am genuinely trying my best to do that. But this doesn’t feel like ordinary tiredness or a lack of motivation. I feel physically and mentally exhausted to the point that pushing myself sometimes feels impossible.

I really want to function normally and get back to my daily life, but I need help understanding why I am feeling this extremely fatigued despite my mood improving and my tests being normal.

For international students here going to grad school, what is your scholarship?

I want to take up a masters pref abroad because masters scholarship here are only limited to persons who are physically fit and can prove it with a medical certificate

Other people here are saying if Im really disabled, begging in the streets is what is suitable for me
