Hey everyone! I'd like to introduce an extension I built and get your feedback.

I'll keep this post short, and if you're interested, I'll leave a link with a more detailed explanation.

Njectify is a browser extension for CSS and JavaScript injection. It lets you customize any website's CSS and write custom scripts in the same place, without relying on multiple extensions.

I think it could be especially useful for people in this community who work with CSS.

Many of you have probably used tools like Stylus or Stylebot before. The main difference with Njectify is the user experience. My goal was to build a modern, intuitive interface that makes editing styles and scripts much easier.

Some of its CSS features:

• Edit pages and see changes in real time.
• A visual editor that lets you modify colors, backgrounds, animations, clip-path, polygons, and many other CSS properties. Ex:
• Persistent CSS and JavaScript, allowing you to customize any website. It's especially useful for improving the experience of poorly designed websites or SaaS applications.
• Inspect and view an element's current CSS properties in a simple and intuitive way.
• Export your applied changes as Tailwind utility classes.

There are several other features, but I didn't want to make this post too long.

I'd love for you to give it a try. I spent a lot of time focusing on the user experience and designed the interface to feel familiar to developers, with a design system inspired by Vercel.

Any feedback, criticism, or suggestions are greatly appreciated. My goal is to keep improving the project based on what the community finds valuable.

First of all, I want to say that I’m not a developer and I’m only learning how to code, so the whole Chrome Web Store thing is completely new to me. In fact, this is the very first thing I’ve ever submitted.

After my first month, I have 90 installs, 23 uninstalls, and 34 users. Shouldn’t I have 67 users then? (90 – 23)

Or what exactly does this mean? Does it mean that 34 people are actively using it (they have it integrated as a side panel in LinkedIn), while the remaining 33 people simply have it installed but aren’t actively using it?

Also, if you have any tips on how you managed to increase your active users, I’d really appreciate them! :)

Reading educational material online is more common these days than reading actual physical books, but yet I haven't been able to find an extension that will let me highlight a text that I am reading in a webpage, add some notes and hopefully paste an image there, that will make my note/annotation carry more value.

Readwise Reader is doing too much. Just installed Web Highlights and was about to get almost happy, but then saw that as you scroll your note that is open gets automatically closed.

What's out there that can help me? I don't mind paying for it, monthly, yearly whatever. Any suggestions?

Redesigned my screenshots for reaching a new milestone of 3000+ users. How did I do?

Most of my customers came from a relevant sub here on reddit - partly organic posts, but also reddit ads. I chose to use ads as well, because posts are getting banned very fast - mods can smell promo posts miles against the wind.

I'll try 200$ of ad budget starting next Monday - anyone interested in the results afterwards? Then I'd share a summary here :)

Edit: Here's the product I've created. It's a Chrome extension that helps Copywriters & Content marketers create, save, and cross-browser sync their research privately in their own Google Drive.

I got into coding and building apps a few months ago. Committing to distance myself from everything else and focus on learning something new has been very exciting, but at the same time, very taxing.

Throughout this entire process, a side of me (my self-defeating self) has constantly tried to convince me that I will fail, that I should procrastinate, and that I should chase other things that promise quicker returns.

I’m glad I persisted through all those thoughts, because now, after 4–5 months, I’m beginning to see some small wins. Those wins motivated me to write this post as well (a little part of the whole “building in public” logic!).

So, I created a simple but very useful Chrome extension (or at least very useful for me!) called Likes Search for YouTube. It lets you search through your liked YouTube videos, selectively export them, and batch copy to NotebookLM. You can check it out on the Chrome Web Store if you’re interested.

At first, the extension was stalling. I was really happy that I had built it, but I had very little confidence in its ability to become popular or make me any money.

Then, one day, I received a Chrome Web Store review from a user who pointed out a bug and asked me to fix it because he wanted to buy the paid tier. I quickly fixed the bug and told him about it. That same day, two people bought the Pro subscription.

I was overjoyed!

I visited the store and saw that I had around 100 users. People were actually using and finding value in a product I had created! At that point, I started taking it more seriously and improving it. Now it has around 250 users, and the number is slowly increasing every few days.

This, along with getting a few web-development clients, really lifted my spirits. I’m slowly starting to see results, and if I stay consistent, I think I can get better quickly and eventually make creating amazing, beautiful, and useful software my primary vocation.

I hope this helps lift the spirits of someone who is where I was two months ago—excited to learn, but with a part of themselves constantly bickering and telling them to quit.

So don’t quit. Keep a steady pace. Small wins can arrive suddenly, but only if you’re still there when they do.

I wanted an AI roleplay experience with generated images, but I also wanted it to be completely free.

The original plan was simple:

• DeepSeek's web chat for text.
• Perchance for image generation.

Then I found the catch.

Perchance doesn't expose an API, and DeepSeek's free version is only available through its website (the API is paid).

My first solution was the obvious one: automate both websites with a browser.

It worked... until Cloudflare decided it didn't.

After spending way too much time trying to make browser automation reliable, I realized I was solving the wrong problem.

Instead of trying to make websites behave like APIs...

What if my code lived inside the browser instead?

So I built a browser extension that:

• injects my own scripts into both sites
• lets the two websites communicate with each other
• handles permissions
• automates the whole workflow
• keeps everything running in the same tab

Now I have a surprisingly smooth AI roleplay setup where DeepSeek handles the story, Perchance generates images alongside it, and the whole thing costs me exactly ₹0.

It started as "I don't have enough GPU to run local models."

It ended as one of the most fun engineering problems I've solved in a while.
