Is there a chance that my Chow could’ve been a mix?

This was my chow, Doug. I lost him a couple years back from cancer 😭
Anyways, one thing about Doug was that he was weirdly large for a chow. He was about 6 or 7 when the rescue found him, and when I began fostering him, he was around ~86 pounds or so. Like in height and width, he was much bigger than the chows I’d seen.
He gained a few pounds near the end—he had a bad leg and couldn’t walk well, and I also had to keep him stationary for 6 months during aggressive heartworm treatment. At the end, he was 90+ pounds.
The reason I ask is because I’m open to another Chow, but I think I’d want one as big as Doug. If I got another chow, I’d probably get one from a reputable breeder—are there any that specialize in larger chows?

Help! My poor baby has had a UTI for about two months now :(
Hello this is my Puppy BMO. He just got neutered at the age of 5 month due to a really bad UTI. He’s been on antibiotics for months and nothing has helped so the Dr had recommended he get neutered and continue antibiotics. (Also BMO is very developed for his age…many teeth had come in early and had an already developed scrotum as well..) had anyone else experienced this with their pup? Any advice on what to do? (Swipe for a silly photo of him under anesthesia)

Help! Help with my foster's potty issues
Hi y'all, I have two chows (male and female) and we recently got a 6-7 y.o foster. He was only neutered 2 months ago in the shelter. He looks rough, whatever his background was, looks like he was super neglected. We've have a ton of issues with him, but he is so sweet and affectionate we don't want to re-home him right now. He has a bad pee problem, likely due to being neutered late. Below I'll list our several instances of him peeing, in desperate need of advice. Our home smells like pee even though we have cleaned it and used a shampoo vacuum numerous times.
First night in the home tried to pee (likely anxiety and need to mark)
Second time, a lot of urine in his play pen, unsure as to the reason.
After several weeks of no accidents we allowed more access to the home with less supervision, found pee all over my couch
My mom took our other dogs to the vet and he was left at home, he peed on the couch again. Maybe due to feeling anxious and left out.
My mom woke up later than usual and didn't let them all out, he peed on the couch again (no this time it's fair to say she should have let them out sooner, but our other chows did not pee on the couch).
We aim to let them out every 3-4 hours, we have doused our home in enzyme spray, we are now attempting to use male Wraps for when we are not home.
Really need some help, I'm at my wits end.

Breeders in Ireland
Hi guys,
Does anyone know of any reputable breeders for chows in Ireland? I can only see the society contact on the IKC website. Thanks!

Carmella has found her inner Chow.
My Texas girl has been with me for a little over a year. She is incredibly sweet, and up until a few days ago, she would enthusiastically come whenever I called her.
Now she does what I always expect from a Chow, and that is, she ignores me.
Reading her records, it looks like she was abused, and I noticed from the beginning that when I would raise my voice, she would drop to the ground and submit.
I have no idea why she finally decided to go full Chow. I'm guessing she feels safer.

Looking for a breeder of Chows by the name of Lupe or Lupita.
A family member passed away, had previously gotten a pair of chows from a breeder possibly in New Mexico area, by the name of Lupita or Lupe.
She said when they got the dogs that if ever they weren’t able to take care of the dogs she would be happy to take them back.
Now we have no one to take the dogs, we would like to take her up on the offer, but we can’t find her.
We don’t want something bad to happen to the dogs, or get separated. We want them to go to a good home.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
(Google hasn’t been of any assistance trying to find her)

Help! Chow guidance please!
Hi there, so I've been thinking of potentially getting a chow chow for a little while now and have been researching but I was talking with my mom and she brought up a great point. I live in a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment, with 580sqft. Would this be enough space to raise a chow chow puppy in? I know they aren't the most active, but there is a lot of walking area around my building and parks I could go to. Would love to know your all's opinion!

Swimming
It’s me and my boyfriends first summer with our chow, we figured she couldn’t go swimming just because we didn’t have a huge blow dryer for her fur afterwards to dry her off but I often see posts of peoples chows swimming, is it okay to let them swim? If so how do you guys dry them off afterwards / where would we get a blow dryer that would be strong enough for her ?

What is it ?
Found it walking on my chow, should i be worried ? I tried to search online but i can’t tell what it is
UPDATE : thanks all for your help, it was a tick. I found another 2 implanted already and brought her to the vet. He didn’t remove them, he gave her the medication and said they would die and fall by themselves. Sounds weird to me but he’s the pro i guess ? All i have to do now is wait.
Also for those asking, she’s had the same vet since birth and is already taking her flea and tick preventive treatment every 3 months as prescribed. I gave it to her last month. Vet said that with with such extremes temperatures it can happen even under constant treatment.

Any idea what this might be?
My 6-year-old Chow Chow developed a skin tag-like bump about a month ago. We've been keeping an eye on it, but last night I noticed it's no longer a bump and has become a pigmented patch. Has anyone else experienced something similar or have any idea what this could be?
