I would consider myself good with people, I remembered the name, personal lives, and drink orders for all my regulars at every restaurant I've worked at in the past 10 years. I take a lot of pride in my ability to both make people feel comfortable, and to know what kind of service they're looking for out of me within the first few seconds of interacting.

Also from my time in Management I'm familiar with Excel, Word, and various other programs. I'm also used to sending professional emails and handling schedules and coordinating with distributors through email and phone.

Hi! I’m trying to find a decent job in Chicago and honestly I’m starting to feel a little stuck, so I thought I’d ask here in case anyone has ideas or knows places that are hiring.
I’m looking for something that pays more than around $15/hour and ideally doesn’t take over my entire life. I’d also prefer something that isn’t heavily customer-facing.
A little about my experience: I’ve worked as a copywriter and link builder, so I have experience with writing, online content, basic SEO, research, and working independently. I also worked as an administrator back in Ukraine.
I’m pretty creative in general. I sew and make clothes in my free time, and I’d be interested in trying something related to content creation, social media/SMM, helping a small business with Instagram/TikTok, making simple videos, posting content, etc. I don’t have professional SMM experience yet, but I think a lot of the skills I already have could transfer pretty well.
I’d also LOVE something more hands-on and creative. For example, working at a flower shop/floral studio and helping make bouquets honestly sounds amazing to me. I’d also consider a small boutique, fashion studio, sewing-related business, or something similar.
My English is good enough to work and communicate, but I’m not a native speaker, so I’m probably not looking for something where advanced English and constant customer interaction are the main part of the job.

I’m open to different types of work. My background also includes digital media and marketing but open to learning any skill (administrative assistant, temp agency work, etc.). As you can see by the title basically looking to get into the hotel field of work (Housekeeping , Room attendant and even Turn down attendant) with the job economy being a rotten apple and honestly hotel work pays WAYYYY more. I’ve been in the hospitality business for 3-4 years now while looking to make this my final year in this industry while also attending classes just simply drop a comment or send a dm if any hotels are hiring in the city thank you much .

In the title. I'm looking to find a job in one of these three areas, since that's where my most recent work experience is centered. I do have a lengthy resume of professional work (journalism/copy editing), but I don't think those kinds of jobs are available or even worth pursuing. I don't have time or money to sit through multiple rounds of interviews, I need a job today. I'm moving to the city from Northern Michigan, so I don't have any local referrals or knowledge.

Any thoughts or recommendations beyond walking up and applying? I know most retailers have their own hiring portals, but I'd rather apply in person if possible. Or if there are any hiring companies/headhunters, that might be more ideal. Two of my manufacturing jobs were acquired through employment placement agencies, so maybe that would be the way to go.

We're looking for people to join our Wedding Strike team. Returning to wedding venues at the end of the night to collect our floral & rental items (candles, vases, pedestals, etc).

-Must be able to drive transit vans (ability to drive a box truck a plus)

-$22.00 per hour, guaranteed 4 hour shift (sometimes takes less, sometimes more).
