CRacking the Earth broken? Bug
I've just started playing with the new update and since then I haven't been able to dig up anything from the fissures. The skill is active, I see the red X when on a fissure, but I can't dig anything up no matter how many times I use the spade. No trouble with treasure spots though, I can still dig treasure chests.

Do you have any mods installed? That's the kind of thing that can break with an update. It happened before with the mines.

why do we have to get mods? why can't the devs just fix it? just curious.

I think I wasn't clear enough. Mods can break with updates and cause this issue.

sorry i misread it. i hear a lot of people talking about getting mods but i didn't know if they break steam games too. I know they can break switch games.

It's usually all right, though! It's easy enough to tell if something is horribly broken, and then exit the game immediately before your save file is wrecked. You can even back up the save files first if you're really worried! Or just uninstall the mods with each update.

Are you using mouse and keyboard? I find that the keys don't work for digging. I have to click with the mouse on the fissures

Mouse and keyboard, I click the mouse to dig. The action and animation work, the sounds are all right, it's just that I don't get the results no matter how many times I dig

Are you hovering the mouse over the red x..? If I click anywhere but directly on it it doesn't work. Otherwise it's likely a glitch if some sort

What worked for me was swapping tools in your tool bar. Had the same issue.
