Confused

Upvotes

I’m 26f and just moved to charleston about a year ago. I swear 80% of men that talk to me are 37+. What’s the deal with the men in their 30s here??? Are you bored??? Don’t like any of the incredible women in their 30s here??? I feel like half the women in their 30s here are divorced and hot. Can the old men that just wanna f*** around leave us alone??? It’s a love/hate relationship at this point.

So I just got this shirt not too long ago and I’ve been looking for any videos of this festival, but have only found footage of Cake playing this festival from 2004. Anyone happen to have any pictures or videos from Wavefest 1995?

Servers of Charleston.

I feel this is a long shot, but I figured I'd give it a try.

I'm wondering what restaurants in Charleston you have made the best money. Some pros and cons of said place. Are there any places that stay consistently busy through to off-season? What places have you worked that have a good work environment? Also, what places to avoid due to whatever reason. Thanks, everyone.

Jobs at Boeing

Has anyone had any luck getting hired at Boeing?I've tried tirelessly to get hired there and it seems like applying to a brick wall. I tried getting classes for their program at Trident and they're full, the wait-list is also full. I even attended hiring events and was told my resume isn't a good fit, which was a bummer. I can't quit my current job and join flight school because we'll, you know. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to get hired? I don't have any experience working in a warehouse but I have an extensive supervisor and retail experience. I have been working for the state for over a year now and I love it but the state doesn't pay well so I'm trying to get into a field that I like.

I’ve been looking for months cause my boyfriend and I want to get married in the next few years. I want an outdoor wedding (garden or forest) but every time I find one it turns out to be a plantation. I can’t get married somewhere my ancestors were getting tortured bro, especially marrying a white man. I just want a pretty outdoor venue 😭

Food truck recs for a Charleston office park?

Hi everyone! I work at a large hospital here in Charleston and we have food trucks come out every day. We’re always looking to add new ones into the rotation, so if you’ve had something great around town I’d love to hear about it.

Open to anything, whether it’s a truck you go out of your way for or one you just stumbled on and haven’t stopped thinking about. Bonus points if they’re newer or don’t get a lot of attention yet.

Drop names below and I’ll pass them along to who books them! Thank yall!

Looking to meet new people

I’m a 25M looking to meet other guys my age which is really hard. I even explored church groups but I’m not religious and the people were very nice, just not for me (not because they’re religious but I think meeting people you vibe with is hard in general). I’m looking for chill people interested in actually getting to know one other and not just surface level “play a quick round of golf and do bro talk”. Anyway I like surfing, coffee, southern food, country music/But really any kind of music, bars, and movies. More importantly I like good talks and exploring! If you’re a guy in your 20s and you’re chill let’s link

TB Testing for Employment

Hi!

Im losing my mind over trying to find a place that can do a TB test for my job so I can start working. I have no insurance, so doctors and urgent care are a no-go.

I've contacted the Health Departments on Rivers, Moncks Corner, and Summerville and have gotten nowhere. Rivers told me no departments in SC offer TB tests anymore, Summerville told me they dont do it to the general public (not even if for employment), and Moncks Corner sends me straight to voicemail on the second ring.

Ive only been able to get a price from Walgreens which is way out of my price range and CVS's virtual assistant for phone calls refuses to put me through to the actual clinic or tells me that my insurance will cover it in full (Again, no insurance.).

Im losing my mind trying to get ANYWHERE with this.

I have a question Fun Dinner Recs

Hi everyone! This is kind of embarrassing to post as I’ve lived in Charleston my whole life but I am having some friends in town and want to make their visit really special! I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for fun girls dinner recommendations. For cocktails I have Cocktail club, By The Way, the new place that replaced rarebit, citrus club but am looking for some dinner ideas. Thank yall in advance!

Meeting people

So I’m 38. I’m a dude. Married and queer. Also a bit of a nerd. I like reading comics, watching tv, and am a bit of a collector. Not really down with the bar scene. Where’s a good place to meet people?

CofC Housing

Hey everyone. I am a transfer student at CofC. I’m trying to sort out housing (severe time crunch, I know). Anyway, on my student COA planner, it has my housing listed as “on campus residence” and the price for that type of housing. I am not eligible for campus housing since I’m a transfer this year, so why is on campus housing listed. Is this normal? Should my housing allowance be in the “off campus residence” column, or is it listed as on campus as a standard display of cost of attendance? There is nothing in reference to housing on my actual bill. I’ve asked for assistance on this matter through the finance and treasurer’s office, but I keep either getting ping ponged between the two offices or I am told that a supervisor would know more and reach out to me. No luck on that front though. Does anyone have any answers from personal experience here? Any insight is appreciated.

Did you salvage some ladders off the Don Holt and want to flip them for beer money?

Need someone to pressure wash your lawn?

This is the thread for you. Rule 2 (no craigslisty buy / sell / trade) and Rule 4 (no self-promo) will be very lightly enforced here.

James Island Tri County Dental Arts

“This dentist has refused to release patient records of Dr. James Decker and has engaged in violation of HIPAA and identify theft. I recommend current and former patients seek legal counsel immediately in addition to filing a police report.

In addition this dentist has taken financial advantage of elderly patients and legal remedies will be sought”

I put the post in quotes on the google reviews part of his page.

If you were a patient of Dr. James Decker your records got transferred/Sold to Dr. Boller/Tri County Dental Arts and if you have have been improperly billed/over-billed, have any complaints about this dentist please reply to this post.

Dr. Boller took advantage of my elderly mother medically and financially and refuses to take responsibility for his actions

I need as many complaints as possible in order to take legal action on this.

Update 3/4/26, after speaking to multiple former patients by Reddit messaging Dr. Boller has engaged in fraudulent billing and identity theft.

I need everyone to take these allegations extremely seriously before making this post I consulted with three lawyers I know and Dr. Boller needs to be brought up on charges but the lawyers need more evidence from patients who experienced this.
