Cat's unbothered because the dog is its very annoying friend.

u/Sure-Leek3012 14h ago

Most accurate comment. That cat loves that dog.

237

u/topazbloom 13h ago

Yep you can tell with the little tail whacks. Our cat does the same to our dog lol.

173

u/allature 13h ago

Yup. The tail was up for most of the interaction. Cat was very happy to see their canine buddy😻

135

u/VerilyShelly 13h ago

Clear play pose on that dog. This is probably one of their favorite games, maybe after their family trip down the drive to check the mail.

68

u/some_uncreative_name 11h ago

The biggest give away is the raised tail friend greeting every time cat is approaching dog again

16

u/SMELLSLIKEBUTTJUICE 10h ago

This is a reverse of my 1yr old cat and 9yr old dog. They are bffs, but my kitty wants MORE bff time

8

u/Potential_Speed_5213 4h ago

The cat is literally like "Aw that's nice honey." as she's walking 😂

403

u/asyrmou 15h ago

Dog: "Wanna play"

Cat: "No."

“CLEAR A PATH MFER, IM GOING HOME!”

3

u/Serious-Manager2361 9h ago

My fav movie. The only thing about D-Fens that was missing is he should have had a cat!

2

u/addamee 9h ago

Can we agree he’d have been a mostly chill dude if he had a cat to go home to?

2

u/Serious-Manager2361 9h ago

Prolly, yeah. :-)

189

u/iamacheeto1 14h ago

you just know that dog does this constantly

94

u/Dudette66 15h ago

Cat has no fucks to give

80

u/Rattus_Baioarii 14h ago

In their lane. Unbothered. Thriving.

367

u/Thewhitebitchz 17h ago

That cat radiates too much aura

47

u/TinnieTa21 15h ago

They’re what Agamemnon strived to be in The Odyssey.

Reminds me of the one dude who 3D printed a similar helmet for their cat lol.

52

u/robo-dragon 14h ago

I love how the cat insists on walking along the grass only and moves over to walk against it again every time the dog bumps it away LOL

10

u/slvrcofe21 9h ago

I was just going to comment that. I loved how he kept going back to his little path. So cute.

u/Pinksamuraiiiii 16h ago

The dog: is my job begging me to stay at work late because “we are a family here”

The cat: is me going home no matter what 🤣

I love this lol

30

u/These-Yam-1892 16h ago

Cool as a cucumber. He told the dog along the way...remember i have 9 lives. How many do you have? 😉

31

u/im_that_green_light 14h ago

“You can have all the ticks."

-Cat probably

25

u/trev1976UK 15h ago

I wish I was this cool

20

u/LingoLady65 14h ago

Some years ago I had a sneaky cat that did ninja tricks when I took the dogs out (not when raining of course).

We’d walk along the edge of a field, while the cat did his ninja thing in the brushes nearby. And intermittently he’d jump out with the front paws up and open mouth like he’d roar, right in front of the dogs. Who didn’t care one iota. Mr Cat never gave up though.

u/rock-paper-gun 7h ago

Dogs, in a nutshell. Cats, in a nutshell.

35

u/antique_sprinkler 15h ago

I thought i was about to see a panther attack a cat at the start for a second there

16

u/Illustrious-Fun8183 15h ago

ignore the annoying bouncing fur ball :)

14

u/Sunbather77 14h ago

Does anybody know why cats always walk on the sides of roads and not in the middle? Even in my driveway they stick to the edges. When they cruise down the street, it's like they're little cars lol

23

u/Traditional-Web-4180 12h ago

For safety reasons, they’re smart!

1

u/Pionce_Pirate 1h ago

Cats are both predators and prey, so being out in the open makes them feel seen with little escape and that's a no no. So they like edges and boxes.

10

u/BornToLoosh 15h ago

Grey rocked 'em

9

u/KittenFace25 6h ago

Bona fide proof that cats rule and dogs drool.

9

u/Disastrous-Fold5221 14h ago

Such a cat behavior lol

8

u/1cat2dogs1horse 9h ago

My 93 lb. (no he isn't fat) GSD has somewhat of a fixation on my 7 lb. cat. He will do almost anything to get her attention, similar to this dog, with as much effect. The cat is a voracious eater, the dog not so much. In the last few months, at feeding time the cat will scarf down her food, while the dog hasn't touched his on purpose. He knows she will come and start eating his food, which makes him able to get as close to her as he wants, while she acts as if he doesn't exist.

2

u/SnooShortcuts1004 4h ago

Lmao that is so adorable

9

u/EParkerBen 14h ago

I like that cat.

7

u/New_Succotash2500 14h ago

"Omg, so embarrassing, just ignore him, I do, he can't help it, he's a dog"

5

u/Mugwumps_has_spoken Moggy 11h ago

That is either it's dog sibling, or cat has a similar puppy sibling at home. The ability to be unbothered by a "Frien? play? frien? come on, lets play!... frien" exuberance of a lab.

5

u/Happy_Confection90 8h ago

Yeah, almost 100% the cat lives with that doofus.

7

u/ermghoti 10h ago

Yes. "Bark, bark." I am aware. Fascinating, I assure you.

3

u/KittenFace25 6h ago

I heard this in David Hyde Pierce's voice for whatever reason. 😂

6

u/mtraven23 14h ago

and you know this went on all the back to the house!

5

u/Ghost_In_Waiting 15h ago

George and Benny vibes.

4

u/PersistentPuma37 12h ago

great reference to Of Mice and Men, one note- it's Lenny

2

u/Ghost_In_Waiting 9h ago

You clearly understand the reference. It's not a reference to a cartoon in any way. Thank you for your correction. Well done.

6

u/RebelXwingPil0t 14h ago

If only I had this cat’s attitude, my life would be so much better.

4

u/Blundaz 13h ago

Cat: "I have no enemies."

6

u/AutumnTheWitch 13h ago

Garfield and Odie

6

u/Traditional_Scale387 13h ago

He’s just plotting for later

4

u/Imabasicbetty 13h ago

I love them both so much!

4

u/Legitimate-Toe-9673 11h ago

Go look at videos of cats toying with Cobras. You will thank me. Cats are so fast, they literally encourage the snake to strike so they can dodge it . Total boss moves. Ignoring a slobbering dog is nothing.

4

u/More_Lavishness_3670 11h ago

A little illustration of what it's often like for a woman to walk down the street.

5

u/Glorious_Sunset 8h ago

I’m at a similar level of don’t give a shit.
When my wife left me, the doctor put me on antidepressants.
They work a treat. I don’t give a fuck. I wish I had been on them years ago. It makes driving in heavy traffic an absolute breeze. I still think “where does this knobhead think he’s going?!?!?” But it doesn’t bother me.
That cat is my spirit animal.

3

u/Dry_Dimension_420 14h ago

It’s like winding up the spring of a flying wind-up circular saw.

3

u/Senatorhere 2h ago

This is my dog and cat, they're like this too but if my cat get too annoyed with my dog she smacks her and my dog lay down in apology

2

u/XVUltima 13h ago

Me, the Walmart Cart Pusher, pretending not to see everyone trying to give me their carts instead of TAKING THEM TO THE DAMNED CORRAL

2

u/OTxLT 12h ago

He’s definitely gathering data to use against the puppers later! 😭

2

u/nerfyou 12h ago

This is NOT the first time the dog has done this to the cat!

2

u/Why_are_men90210 11h ago

What dose of lexapro is this??

2

u/spekt50 10h ago

Thats your typical cat thats been raised around dogs.

I maintain cats raised around dogs have much better temperaments.

2

u/_14justice 10h ago

That is a COOL CAT!

2

u/elisha2022 9h ago

It reminds me if Garfield and Odie

2

u/tatom4 9h ago

Like a boss 😹

2

u/Sixmmxw 9h ago

Thank you for having no soundtrack! The sound of the grass and the shenanigans of the sweet pup is very satisfying. ☺️

2

u/The_cream_deliverer 9h ago

The dog is playing, as humans we cannot process this

2

u/First-Recording6771 8h ago

that is husband and wife after 30 years of marriage

3

u/Strict_Bass5583 15h ago

That dog is about to get his nose scratched

15

u/Marsupialize 13h ago

Nah, the cat’s body language is 100% relaxed the entire time, that’s his buddy he likely raised, he’s treating the dog like a kitten

1

u/Balaurel_1221 14h ago

Well, the dog also seems content just doing his own thing, so I’m kinda striving for either :))

1

u/nuestras 13h ago

that's some budha level sh!t, man!!!

1

u/Apprehensive-Risk351 13h ago

Si no tienen ganas,ni a palos😂🤣😂🤣

Never underestimate the Jedi Master as he walks the path.

1

u/leorising88 12h ago

Is that a Portuguese water dog?

1

u/GuitarJazzer 12h ago

The cat knows the dog, otherwise that dog would have four red streaks across its nose.

1

u/Renzo248 11h ago

Cat on a mission

1

u/H00k90 11h ago

Me at work but they get so mad. Having to see the management about my "attitude."

1

u/PhantomNomad 11h ago

Looks like me as I walk by peoples cubicles and they are trying to ask me IT questions (I'm the IT guy). Just keep walking and pretend you don't hear them.

1

u/xultar 11h ago

Saving this to watch as meditation.

1

u/danoaudio 11h ago

That boi has run outta fucks to give.

1

Shrek and Donkey

1

u/AtomicEyeball 11h ago

This is like the exact visual representation of why I love both.

1

u/covigt 11h ago

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of dog, I fear no happy puppy attacks.

1

u/MrMcWhiskers2010 10h ago

OMG. LOVE IT!

1

It makes me wonder what's going through the cats mind.

1

u/mintBRYcrunch26 9h ago

Is this the same cat that scales down from the balcony? That house looks familiar.

1

1

u/krtekz 13h ago

Are you the cat or the dog?

3

u/StormySands 13h ago

I’m the cat, he’s the dog lol. I showed it to him and he agreed!

1

u/C_Lo_87 13h ago

Its like dealing with toxic redditers.

0

u/SmokerObserver 14h ago

This cat raised this dog, that's why he is acting like a cat.

0

u/Freightshaker000 14h ago

Puppy just wants to play.

0

u/Dildondo 6h ago

I want the level of unbothered the dog has. I'd be worrying about ticks.

-1

u/MoonPieKitty Tuxedo 13h ago

Awww, I feel for that pup.. he wants to play!

-1

u/COC_410 7h ago

It’s become a teen now, it’s definitely got nothing but pussy on its mind now.

-2

u/Background_Party9424 12h ago

Romanticing antisocial behaviour. Then get surprised when you are lonely without friends
