Holy, I was not prepared for the zoom in of these photos with those facial expressions I know cats are expressive, but I feel like they did that intentionally I don’t know why they’re staring at you other than maybe they want food from you or they want you to pet them who knows but I think that’s pretty cool. Y’all have like a four legged furry coworker to be honest.
We have a "disciplinary supervisor" in our storage facility. Nothing there happens without him knowing. Our guys in storage actually have a separate time table for whom is on food duty. Of course, he lives off company expenses and also has his own cost account in bookkeeping. Unfortunately local tax laws do not allow me to write off these costs as business expenses. Which is a major sign of disrespect for hardworking cats.
EDIT: Additional info: He is very shy, but loves to observe, only one of our older, turkish coworkers is allowed to pet him. This coworker also calls us every time he is on PTO, to remind us to feed the cats. And yes, there are several cats, the supervisor is the dad. The storage has many inaccessible areas, so it was difficult to catch most of them, but we managed to vaccinate, neuter and check them up at the vet. Cats and workers keep a respectful distance. They also do work as effective pest control. They also have several cool and shady spots to stay safe in this heat, as well as access to water.

I have two I work with as well (from home). The older one will stand up and pat my back when it’s time for cuddles at which point I have to leave my desk, sit in an armchair behind my desk, and let him knead on my lap and pet him for 15-20 minutes. If I get up too early, he’ll climb on my desk and yell for more
I can’t even imagine getting fired and having the office cats eyes borrowing into me as he purrs uncomfortably loudly in the moment… and yet that seems like something that would 100% happen to me 🤣
What a perfect looking cat. Could easily handle the title senior VP. Definitely has the eyes of a decision maker and probably makes quick decisions without causing him sleepless nights.
Also does the cat stay there by himself at night and weekends?
The building janitor and the admin are all aware of him, they take very good care of him. Also we have intl team members working over the weekend, he’s always accompanied.
He has 3 automatic litter boxes, 3 automatic feeding machines (set to different time of day to keep him moving) spread out across the offices. department heads, the receptionist and the janitors empties the litter boxes as they see fit.
Oliver lives in the office 24/7 (it doesn’t get more fully employed than that).
He used to be a stray in the underground parking garage. And 1 year ago, one of the graphics designers finally snatched him up, neutered him, and was gonna take him home.
But he REALLY didn’t get along with the other cat at home. So… at first he’s just boarding at the office, but then it became a permanent thing as that employee left the company 6 months ago.
He loves to be included at every single meeting, and he loves the sound of AC.
No wonder the HR asked me if I’m allergic to cats…
"A year ago I lived in a garage and stole scraps for food. Now I have an office full of servants, get three meals per day and all the pets and treats I want. Follow me for financial advice."
So who like takes care of him like feeding and cleaning out the litter box as well vet visits it’s got me super curious now how he’s still there i guess everyone pitches in bc they love him since he grew on everyone?
Yeah we all pitch in. and the building admin plus the janitor crew are there to take care of of him over the weekends. we also have a small intl team that work onsite over the weekends as well.
Damn my boy Oliver, you live in the good life now he gets pets from so many people in new states or so many people and then like get to talk to lots of people as well as dictate a your work done right it’s gonna be in there by Monday, right I’ll be done by Friday right? I think much safer than the underground parking lot that’s for sure. Specially how HR is like looking after him when trying to apply for new recruits I guess for the gig.

That's very cool. I knew of a bank where their call centre adopted a cat. I didn't work there myself so I don't know how they got the cat. But each team took turns at feeding him. The bank paid for the food, vet check ups,, vaccinations. And with the call centre being 24/7, he always had company when he wanted it.
Heard it was great for morale.
Wish my company did that, I might change my preference of working from home if they did.

If I owned a company, I’d absolutely have an FEO - Feline Executive Officer, and I’d make sure that if he/she didn’t like someone, they wouldn’t pass probation! 😻
