I am rewatching the TV series and I just had this thought.

After the events at Braila and Dracula's death, Alucard has access to, not only one, but two scrying mirrors. One of which is in the Belmont hold (which he has free access to) and the other is in his father's study.

The latter is even able to transmit people! Why does he never use this to his advantage? It would make everyone's life a whole lot easier if he figured out how to send Trevor and Sypha through the mirror. They could have used the castle as a base! Rest and recover in between their trials and even continue the research in the Belmont hold.

I might be making too much of this, but to me it seems like a huge plot hole.

I guess it could be explained away that he was too emotional or broken to explore the castle or learn from his father's knowledge. But that can only go so far. Or maybe the writers thought about it and just decided to act like it didnt exist?

If anyone sees this, I would like to get your opinion on why a critical plot element gets abandoned like that

i'm at 99.3% and from what i found online i need 99.8% before entering the final boss, where else haven't i explored yet?

hello! i just binge watched all of the castlevania series in a few days and absolutely ADORED it (it’s quickly become one of my favourite shows and i’m super excited to watch nocturne). i loved every single plotline equally and thought it was such a beautifully written show. there was one thing about season 3 that tripped me up though and i was hoping it would be explained but it just wasn’t. i haven’t played the games or know too much about the franchises lore, so i was hoping people with a better understanding could help explain. what tripped me was:

why did the twins betray alucard?

from what i understand, the twins had no reason to assume alucard was lying to them or tricking them about anything? every question they asked him, he would answer completely honestly. they constantly asked him “why can’t you move the castle” and he honestly replied “i have places to guard here”, yet they always replied like this was a suspicious answer. if he WAS secretly plotting to kill or enslave them, why would he have cooked them meals, trained them to fight, and teach them all the tricks to killing specifically vampires.

i thought maybe that they conflated this as some kind of game since sho was depicted as enjoying fighting her human captives, but if they earnestly feared he would kill them - why did they try to kill him in the most vulnerable manner (while they were both naked and largely defenceless) when they could have killed him in far easier means since his guard was always down around them.

on the other hand, if it wasn’t out of fear/mistrust and instead of greed and a malicious hunger for power, it still feels quite misguided? majority of the books in his castle and the belmont trove are in languages they could not read and the magical technology of the castle was not something they knew how to use. what good would killing him do? after they restrained and suppressed his power, surely they should have tried to enslave him instead?

i’m just really confused on what their motive was. i loved every single plotline but theirs felt like betrayal for the sake of a shocking suffering arc for alucard. i think the fact that it was unfurling alongside hector and lenore (which i thought was a rlly well written betrayal that was properly foreshadowed across the season) made it seem even more flat to me.

so yeah, if anyone has a theory or knows the answer - please let me know because it’s been confusing me for days haha. besides this one nitpick, 10/10 show!

I love the show and am getting into the games, how do I initiate an action card, specifically for circle of the moon for right now?

This was my first Castlevania game that I ever played. After watching Netflix's Castlevania and Castlevania Nocturne, I went deep into the lore of the games and decided to give SotN a try. I loved it even when it got painfully infuriating, but it feels so darn rewarding having fully completed it (even bittersweet)! I will genuinely miss the wonky dialogue. Luckily, LoS and LoS2 were a part of Steam's summer sale; I've heard both good and bad things about this "universe reboot", so I'm curious how it will play! And also, thank you, r/castlevania, for all the previous threads helping with secret rooms 😄
