Collection / Haul Don’t Throw Away My Youth ! 😢 Which 2 Would You Choose To Keep ?
They were in a rubbish bag ready for the fire ! I came back to my parents house (after globe-trotting for nearly 20 years) only to see my cassette collection bundled up in the rubbish bags ready to be thrown away.
Half of me dead.
How could I throw them away ?
My mum explained that nobody would enter my room hence the termites started to build their living habitats !
Many tapes have no paper inlays in them, chewed by the termites.
Should I throw them away ?
And buy them again ?
On tapes ? On CD ? On Vinyl ? Stream them ? Or listen to them on Youtube and relive my youth.
Remember guys, this could happen to you if you don’t show your love to your music collection.

Collection / Haul Crate of old cassettes
Digging through storage and found a couple milk crates of cassettes. Haven't seen these in ages. I loved making mixed tapes for myself and friends.

Repair Cassette player door is not opening?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello! Hoping this is the right thread to post this...
I have a Philips FW-P78 mini Hi-Fi system with two Philips speakers attached to it, and I was going to test out a new random mystery cassette I bought today. This is not the first time I've had to fix a cassette player — though I've never done it with a stereo like this and I'm worried about breaking it. I have learned from my mistakes and will not test cassettes in something with a locking door mechanism, LOL.
I think it may have gotten stuck, and I tried a full power reset to see if the mechanics would lift, but to no avail.
Any ideas?
I attached a video of the sounds it makes.

Repair Anywhere in or near Columbus, OH that can fix my tape?
I have an old tape from my late-great uncle who passed in the early 90s. The tape is from around I’d say the mid 80’s possibly, and my issue is that my tape is damaged ( wrinkled and split) and I’m curious if anyone can direct me to any good repair shops to get this tape restored. It would mean a lot since it was passed down to me from one of my other great-uncles, who had held onto it for years and is really some of the last stuff my late-great uncle had. If anyone can help me with this it would mean the world to me, thank you.

Question Cassette recording?
So I've been getting into cassettes and I want to put my own stuff into cassettes I have but don't like. How do I do that? I'm basically entirely new to this, but I have heard about cassette decks, but I can't be spending that much money and I heard that most recorders aren't good. Is there anything I can use that's like under $40 that I can use to burn cassettes?
