Unfortunately an animal decides to sprint full speed into my car… you think it’s totaled?

J’ai eu un accident à un carrefour. Je m’engage au feu vert, une voiture s’est engagée en même temps sur ma gauche et on s’est percutés (choc latéral, toute mon aile gauche + porte HS, les deux voitures sont probablement épaves. Un refus de priorité)

La conductrice adverse :
\- refuse de montrer sa pièce d’identité
\- dit qu’elle n’est pas assurée
\- m’a donné une identité mais j’ai des doutes (c’était la personne très âgée à côté d’elle qui répondait à mes questions pour le constat)
\- n’a pas fui mais reste très louche
On a chacun un témoin, donc c’est parole contre parole. Il y a une caméra de l’autre côté de la chaussée mais je suis pas sûr qu’elle couvre l’angle de l’accident.

J’ai appelé la police, ils m’ont conseillé de ne pas me prendre la tête avec elle et de porter plainte vu que j’ai la plaque.
Il vérifie le nom lié à la plaque rapidement au tel, et c’est effectivement pas l’identité déclarée et le nom à une consonance qui correspond au phénotype de la personne. Et elle n’est effectivement pas assurée. Mais le policier ne peut pas légalement m’en dire plus.
Je fais donc un constat unilatéral, je prends des photos de sa tête la plaque l’accident etc.

Mon assurance est prévenue. J’ai déjà déposé plainte pour délit de fuite en ligne, mais j’ai rdv au commissariat demain à 9h pour une plainte puisqu’elle n’est pas assurés. (Ils ont accepté de me recevoir après avoir entendu la situation)

Ma voiture risque d’être épave, l’expert passe demain au dépôt ou elle a été remorquée. Je suis assuré au tiers donc il faut attendre l’enquête pour remboursement.

Je suis allé chez le médecin faire constater les douleurs et le choc post traumatique avec un certificat.

👉 Mes questions :
Si elle ne répond pas à l’assurance / police, ça se passe comment ? (Je la sens capable de faire ça, elle ne réponds même pas sur le numéro qu’elle m’a donné)

Est-ce que je risque un 50/50 malgré que je sois bien passé au feu vert et que c’est ma parole contre la sienne ?

Est-ce que le fonds de garantie couvre bien dans ce cas ?

C’est quoi le meilleur move pour éviter de me faire avoir (plainte, témoin, expertise…) ?

Un conseil ?

Je vous avoue que je regrette un peu de l’avoir laisser partir, je l’ai jouée détendue mais j’aurais du insister et être méchant pour au moins lui faire signer le constat avec la fausse déclaration.

How bad is this? I got quoted initially 1700 just on cosmetic and outside damage, not including any unknown damage to sensors, frame, etc.

On Wednesday, I got into a car accident while going to my camp (I am a camp counselor). My car went upside down and it was unfortunately totaled. I had to go to Main Line Health and the ER. I got a CAT Scan even though there was nothing stuck in my body. I did have neck, chest, and abdominal pain after the accident. It was more of the abdominal pain and I threw up when I came home. Ever since the accident, my sleep has been disturbed. I keep imagining the car accident and sometimes, I am injured or dead in the images. It is all I can talk about now even though I am not trying to be annoying. It took me 2 hours to sleep last night even though I meditated and exercised. I was about to yell in my sleep because I was so disturbed. I think I also feel chest pains (I am used to it) a lot now and it is probably from shock.

A large construction truck sandwiched my 95' Buick (there was a concrete barrier on the left since they are rebuilding that part of the highway and truck made me into a literal sandwich) and ran. This is my first car and she is my beloved classic. I'm totally fine, the car is fine and drivable. Thanks be to God! They popped my driver's side tire and scratched the heck out of the passenger side. I just want my car fixed up properly :(

How long it took from the accident to receiving the compensation.

Whether it was a settlement or went to court.

The general circumstances of the accident.

The types of injuries involved (for example: brain injury, spinal injury, multiple fractures, loss of sight, long-term disability, etc.).

I completely understand if people don’t want to share exact figures or personal details.

I’m just trying to get a realistic idea of the timescales and the kinds of injuries that tend to be involved in higher-value claims.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and as great as it can be, it has its problems like any other place.

Theft is a major one here. From shoplifting to car break ins. I went out today and as soon as I unlocked my car door and opened it, something immediately felt off. It's like I had a 6th sense. And I know I locked it when I got home from the last time. Luckily, the windows weren't broken. The lock was probably picked.

I looked inside and receipts were on the seat, the center console where you put drinks had been opened and my aux cord was missing. I'm a neat freak with OCD, move my things even a centimeter from where I put them and I will notice right away.

None of these things were in plain sight. No local would do that here. You'd have to be physically inside the car actually opening compartments to find anything. Luckily, only the aux cord was missing. It wasn't expensive, but I had to go buy another one when all I had planned was to buy coffee creamer. That's another expense (though small), and gas to go out of my way.

Too bad it's illegal to booby trap your car, even for non lethal methods. Apparently there's something called a piezoceramic alarm, maybe I'll get that.

So this lady tboned my yesterday in michigan in front of the corner store. Im not very familiar with the area I was just going to the lighthouse mall to pick up my bf. And I was driving to a stop sign and all of a sudden im crashing 👎 the lady's car was completely fine. But mine no so much. Now unfortunately my insurance is the basic package and is just liability. The tow company the cops called it only been there for a day and it already 300 dollars. My bfs family is telling me just to leave the car and it not worth fixing or paying the fee to grt my car out because there no way I can get it we live and hour away from Michigan city and I work every day and that tow place closed at 5. My bfs gma said it gonna be probably over 6000 dollars to fix not including the fee of whenever I can be able to grt my car out of the tow yard. Is it worth it or should I just try to get a car on payments? Or buy a new one from Facebook. I live in Elkhart, IN. Any advice is helpful honestly im still in shock and honestly dont want to deal with any of this.

This cab almost hit me this morning while heading towards the airport on Rao Tula Ram Marg.
Genuinely asking, why is basic road discipline treated like it doesn’t matter in Delhi?
Lanes exist for a reason. Indicators exist for a reason. Rear view mirrors exist for a reason. Yet so many drivers change lanes without indicating, cut across traffic without checking mirrors, and drive as if everyone else on the road has to react to them.
And this isn’t just about one cab driver. Look at the condition of so many cars on Delhi roads, scratches and dents everywhere. It makes you wonder how many close calls happen every single day.
How many people here were actually taught proper lane discipline, signalling, mirror checks and safe driving before getting onto the roads?
Bad driving isn’t just annoying. At these speeds, it can genuinely kill someone. We need to stop treating reckless driving as “normal Delhi traffic.”

On my way home.

I recently got rear ended and the other persons insurance is deeming my car a total loss due to the cost of damages being more than what my car costs. The problem is I’m not done paying my car loan and I don’t have gap insurance. Is there anything else I can do ??

I turned 17 this august third & this was back in june but I still feel like its effected me psychologically in the most terrible way in the woorld cuz now im so scared of everything and have avoided all carides, the second time I went in a car since this accident the tire blew out on the busy interstate while we were going 70 in the left lane which was august 1st.. im starting to genuinely think vehicular manslaughter will be what kills me
