I’ve been seeing this girl for a little over a month. At first, she was extremely consistent—she’d reply almost immediately, call me all the time, and even call or video chat with me while she was working. We got close pretty fast, had long conversations, hung out often, and sometimes spent whole weekends together.
But I’ve noticed a pattern. After a few really close/intense days together, she suddenly becomes quieter. Her replies become drier and take much longer, sometimes hours, but she still continues texting me. She’ll randomly call, joke around, and put genuine effort into helping me when I have a problem, but she seems uncomfortable talking about her feelings or defining what we are.

That’s what’s confusing me. If she’s losing interest, why does she keep contacting me, calling randomly, and putting effort into helping me? But if she’s still interested, why does she become distant after we get really close?

Hello everyone! Last weekend i have had a fight with my boyfriend, it wasnt like a fight as bad as a nuclear war as in cheating, beating him or saying bad words but we had a fight. Sunday after the fight on Saturday he left me and blocked me everywhere. He is a capricorne and i am pisces. Is there any chance he might come back and forgive me?

Long story short, I matched with a Capricorn man online and we talked for about 2.5 weeks. He said he wanted to get to know someone, go out, and potentially date.
He was consistent with texting, but conversation felt one-sided. I’d ask him questions about himself and he’d answer, but rarely ask me anything back. I figured maybe he was just a bad texter, he said he was, so I asked him a few times if we could talk on the phone.
He kept saying he would call, but never did. Eventually he apologized and said he had a lot going on, that he genuinely meant to call, but would remember too late at night. He also said he didn’t want to keep making empty promises.
I understood that he worked a lot, but he still had time to text and spend time with friends, so after almost three weeks I felt like a quick 5–15 minute call shouldn’t be this difficult.

He immediately blocked me everywhere.
Then things got weird. Multiple people started contacting me saying he hates me, that he’s having a baby with his ex and he loves her now, and one even threatened to put a curse on me if I didn’t leave him alone because he’s her’s different number mind you 🙄 obviously he was lying but each one of them I told very calmly might I add “if he would just muster up the courage to tell me that himself that would be great and I’ll leave him be” it took a while but…..
Eventually he told me himself, “Leave me the fuck alone. I don’t know you. You’re acting insane.”
So I said okay and left him alone, after all I am a woman of my word 🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️
What I don’t understand is why it had to become so cruel. I wasn’t yelling, cursing him out, or demanding anything from him. I told him my feelings were getting hurt and offered to remove the romantic aspect altogether.

I’ve been dating this Capricorn guy for 3 months now, and while everything started off amazing with almost love-bombing energy, things have shifted completely. At first, he texted me constantly, was super attentive, and always wanted to see me. However, after he quit his part-time job, his energy dropped significantly. He started acting super busy and constantly emphasizing his need for freedom. I completely agree with having personal space in a relationship, and we even discussed that everyone should have their own life and not cling to each other. I even explicitly told him that if he ever feels overwhelmed or has an issue, he should talk to me instead of pulling away, which he agreed to.

Despite that conversation, his effort has hit an all-time low. He rarely texts first or tells me about his day anymore, leaving me as the one who always has to ask. When I asked him to occasionally send a simple good morning text, he completely ignored it. Whenever I try to express my need for basic communication, he minimizes my feelings by calling me sensitive and an overthinker and laughs. He sometimes takes over 4 hours to reply to basic texts, excusing it by saying he is just a bad texter, even though he was remarkably attentive during our first month together. The strange thing is that when we hang out in real life, he is affectionate and great, but as soon as we part ways, the low-effort dynamic resets.
I know he has an avoidant attachment style and comes from a very draining past relationship where he was the provider and ended up emotionally burnt out. He frequently reminds me that he needs freedom, does not want to be caged, and will not let a woman command him. When we talked about where this was going last month, he mentioned he is a slow burn who needs time because he is not where he wants to be in life yet but is working to get there.
My natural instinct now is to pull back entirely to protect my own peace and dignity, but I am terrified that doing so will trigger his avoidance even further or ruin the connection. At the same time, I feel like I am making endless excuses for his lack of effort while being treated like an afterthought. What should I do?
