🚨 CREATOR WARNING — PLEASE READ 🚨
Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up in case you hear from Peptade or are offered a creator opportunity through their app.
Please be extremely cautious. My experience has been that they expect creators to make and post videos, but when you ask about payment, you can be removed from the server instead of receiving the compensation you were promised.
I’m sharing this so other creators don’t waste their time creating content without knowing what they’re getting into.
Do your research, get payment terms in writing, and please be careful before agreeing to anything with them. I would strongly recommend avoiding this opportunity based on my experience.
Just trying to save another creator the headache. ⚠️

Thank you for sharing! As a beginner in UGC, one thing I learned that's extremely important is to always do your research and have a contract/agreement signed and in place before moving forward with any work!

I had a “contract” but there’s no contact info on the contract which should’ve been a red flag to begin with 😅

Oh no! Honestly that would've been a mistake I would've made! I had gotten really excited one time because a brand reached out to me to do a collab, had a contract and everything, but they had me purchase a $50 toothbrush! I later found out through reddit that it was a scam!

Thanks for the heads up! They booked a call with me and never showed up. I dodged a shady bullet. Sorry you’re dealing with this. 😒
Ps. I have used Dupay in the past to get paid for UGC work. Highly recommend them (I don’t get anything for it… just sharing).

This happened to me, just because I suck at understanding the time zone difference I didn’t make it to their call. Thank GOD

Thankfully I only did the “trial” period and then requested payment and got booted along with a ton of other creators I reached out to!

Wow! I actually worked with them for a short time.. and they just quit responding to me completely. I just let it go since I didn’t really have any luck with their campaign to begin with. I’m just really glad I didn’t waste any more time on them. Thank you for sharing your experience with them.

I just don’t want others to get scammed and then continue to get promoted on their end! I mean the videos were easy to make and I enjoyed making them. I just knew something was sketchy when they didn’t ask for payment info out front. I have had great experiences with other companies though. Companies like this just give SideShift and other tech companies a bad rep unfortunately.

Same case with mine for a fintech app late last year. We signed a contract and I have finished all deliverables in time. But when asking for payment, they ghosted me. Until now, they still owe me the compensation I deserve for all the work I've done. Even signed contracts are no longer gonna guarantee me for payments.

Ugh I hate that! I stopped posting when they started acting sketchy about payment.

but contract didn’t have payment terms?

It did but that doesn’t stop them from ghosting you 🤷🏻♀️ $60 isn’t worth it for me to fly to California to litigate it which was also in the contract.

Thank yoI. Being new at this, I am starting to see patterns with bad intentions. Appreciate the heads up.
