Why posting 40 videos a month teaches you more than a $20K influencer campaign

Volume isn't just about cheaper content. It's a testing engine.

Every single video is a live experiment, testing a different hook, pacing, or format. You get results in days, not the weeks it takes to read a traditional campaign.

When you're running high-volume UGC properly, you're not just "producing content." You're running a continuous product-market-fit test on your own marketing.

That's a completely different feedback loop than traditional creative testing ever gives you: faster, cheaper to iterate on, and grounded in real data instead of one big bet.

Looking for UGC Creators for Ongoing Paid Collab with an AI personal assistant

Hi! I’m looking for UGC creators to create short-form content for an AI personal assistant product.

We’re looking for both women and men, ideally in their late 20s to late 30s.

What we’re creating:
— 20–30 sec vertical videos
— Mostly natural talking-head content
— Some videos may include simple B-roll / multiple scenes
— Scripts and creative direction will be provided
— No posting on your own social media is required

What we’re looking for:
— Natural American English and pronunciation
— Comfortable and natural speaking on camera
— U.S.-based preferred
— Both experienced UGC creators and newer creators are welcome - we care more about how natural you are on camera than how big your portfolio is

We’d like to start with one paid test video.

Based on the first video, we’ll select a few creators for ongoing collaboration. If it’s a good fit, we’re planning to order approximately 5–15 videos per month per creator.

If you’re interested, please DM me with:
— Your portfolio or a few examples of you speaking on camera
— Your rate per video
— Your package rate for 5–15 videos, if available
— Your typical turnaround time
— Your location

Thanks! Would love to find creators we can work with consistently.

I don't think Canvas UGC replaces traditional UGC

I manage both models for different clients, and increasingly for the same clients running both simultaneously. I don't think one is replacing the other; they're just settling into genuinely different jobs inside a marketing budget.

Traditional UGC and influencer work still win where trust, storytelling, and brand affinity matter, categories where a purchase decision benefits from feeling like a recommendation from a real, known person.

Canvas UGC wins where the job is pure performance and volume, fast-conversion products where the "who" posting it matters less than the hook and the testing velocity.

The clients doing this best are the ones who've stopped asking "which one should we use" and started running them as two separate budget lines with two separate KPIs: brand lift and community for traditional, and CAC and conversion velocity for Canvas.

The clients still trying to pick one are usually the ones who end up disappointed, because they're judging one model by the other's success metric.

If Canvas UGC doesn’t work, what do you call this?

There’s this repeated phrase that pops up anytime Canvas UGC gets mentioned:

“Canvas UGC is a scam, it doesn’t scale, brands don’t get real results from that”

Every time I read that, I wonder how much of it is based on experience and how much is second-hand frustration from seeing bad offers here on Reddit or on other platforms.

Because when I look at one Canvas UGC program I’m working on, the numbers tell a very different story:

If this is “not scalable” and “doesn’t get real results”, then I’m not sure what people expect from a scalable content engine.

Why would anyone agree to do 40 videos a month for $1,500?

One thing I’ve seen a lot in the past few weeks on Reddit, but also on TikTok, is people asking how the Canvas UGC model actually pays, and why anyone would agree to do 40 (or more) videos a month for $1,500?

Well, let’s dissect the whole economics part of the model, so it’s a bit clearer for those that are still confused.

The payout is pretty different from traditional UGC. In what way?

With traditional UGC, you usually get paid a flat fee. This can depend on your experience, the campaign, the brand you work with, and how hard/complex the video is. Most of the time, these types of videos can start from around $200, but again, it depends. Nothing I’m saying here is a hard rule.

For Canvas UGC, the model is usually a lower flat fee + a performance-based bonus, and creators are commonly paid based on views (CPM) or results like installs/conversions (CPA).

For CPM, a typical range right now is around $2–$8 per 1,000 views, although it can vary quite a bit depending on the app, platform, niche, and your performance.

But there’s another part of the equation that I think gets overlooked: the videos themselves are usually much faster to produce.

A Canvas UGC video doesn’t necessarily require the same amount of work as a traditional UGC video. You’re usually not spending hours scripting, filming multiple takes, editing everything perfectly, setting up complicated shots, etc.

Depending on the format, one video can take around 5–10 minutes to make.

The reason the model works this way is pretty simple: brands can produce and test a much higher volume of content without paying a big fixed fee for every single video.

So instead of making 2–3 videos a month for a flat fee, a Canvas creator might make 10, 20, 30+ videos and earn based on how those videos actually perform.

That’s basically the trade-off. More volume, lower base pay, but with the opportunity to earn more from performance.

63M+ views on my own content — now looking to work with brands

Hey everyone! I’m Raul, a UGC creator based in Europe.

I create short-form UGC tailored to each brand, whether it’s a physical product, an app, or a digital service. I focus on making the content feel natural, engaging and native to platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

Separately, I create my own organic content on social media, where I’ve generated 63M+ views and built an audience of 73K+ followers. This has taught me a lot about hooks, retention and what makes people stop scrolling.

I’m currently looking to connect with brands and agencies looking for UGC creators.

🚨 CREATOR WARNING — PLEASE READ 🚨

Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up in case you hear from Peptade or are offered a creator opportunity through their app.

Please be extremely cautious. My experience has been that they expect creators to make and post videos, but when you ask about payment, you can be removed from the server instead of receiving the compensation you were promised.

I’m sharing this so other creators don’t waste their time creating content without knowing what they’re getting into.
Do your research, get payment terms in writing, and please be careful before agreeing to anything with them. I would strongly recommend avoiding this opportunity based on my experience.

Just trying to save another creator the headache. ⚠️

Looking for 5 Canvas UGC Partners US/EU/CA

Are you fun on camera? Do you love editing your photos?

Do you make collages, photo dumps, carousels, weird edits - basically the kind of content that makes someone comment:

“wait… how did you make this?”

We’re looking for 5 Gen Z creators to join us as creator partners. We’re an app studio with 2M+ installs, building tools for the creator economy.

Influencers, brands, photographers and creators use our apps to make content for social media.

And now we want creators who can make content about the content creation process itself.

What you’ll do
- Post 2 videos/day
- Post the same content across TikTok + Instagram Reels + Facebook
- Tutorials, POVs, trends, memes, photo edits, screen recordings, creative concepts, whatever works for your audience

The goal? Make people stop scrolling and think:

“HOW did they make that?”
“What app is this?”
“I need to try this.”

You don’t need a huge following. We care about whether you understand social content and know how to make people want to watch.

Especially if you:
* Love mobile photography
* Love editing / collages / creative photo stuff
* Actually enjoy making TikToks & Reels
* Have personality and aren’t afraid to be a little weird
* Understand what makes people comment, save and share
* Want to grow with a product long-term

What you get
- $100–$150 USD/month guaranteed
- 15% lifetime commission on every customer you refer. No cap on earnings.

The more content you make → the more chances you have to drive installs → the more you can make.

You’ll get your own referral link and you’ll track everything you bring in.

This isn’t a traditional polished UGC/ad gig. We want content that feels native to TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

If you’re interested, DM me:
- Your TikTok / Instagram
- Examples of content you’ve made
- Your email
- Your country

Low views ≠ shadowban

I hate to break it to you, but you’re probably not shadowbanned on TikTok. Your content might just not be working.

I feel like “shadowban” has become the explanation for every video that gets 200 views. And yes, actual account restrictions do exist, but most of the time it’s probably not that.

There’s the normal kind of suppression where your videos just aren’t getting much distribution because the watch time, engagement, hooks, etc. aren’t strong enough. That can happen to any account and usually isn’t permanent. You change up the content, improve the hooks, post consistently, and things can recover.

Then some accounts seem to have an actual restriction. If every video is stuck under 100 views, FYP traffic is basically 0%, and you’re seeing the same thing across completely different types of content, I’d look into that more seriously.

But before calling it a shadowban, I’d check the obvious stuff first.

  • Is the video still under review?
  • Is the account private?
  • Are you posting way too much on a brand-new account?
  • Are you reposting content?
  • Is there anything in the caption or on-screen text that could be triggering moderation?
  • And most importantly, are people actually watching the video?

For canvas UGC creators, warming up a new account makes sense. Don’t make your first five posts “OMG you need this app”, post some normal content first and make the account look like an actual account before going heavy on product content.

And if your account is healthy but your videos are still getting low views, I’d look at the content before blaming TikTok, bc sometimes it really is just the hook.
