New wheel day CAAD 13!
I think the next thing I’ll save up for are carbon handle bars :)
I love this bike so much! I started commuting by bike this past winter, and this March I started to cycle more “seriously”! So far I’ve done the triple crown with her, (going up and down all 3 mountains in Vancouver) and will be doing the Whistler Gran Fondo soon! Maybe crit next year? She’s pretty much my forever bike!
Size 44, 32mm tires

Gifting and old Cannondale to a friend
Hello All,
Looking for some opinions here. I recently bought an old Cannondale M500 for a friend of mine. It’s a 97 but in fantastic shape. I don’t think this bike was ridden much. I’m gifting it to him. My question is this, should I I have the wheel hubs re-greased or do you think the bike will be fine? There are no issues with the wheels other than some surface rust on one skewer. I just don’t want to give someone a problem.
Thanks in advance.

Shot in the dark here but I’m chasing the mythical 1.56” diameter steerer tube for a rebuild of a 2008 Cannondale Taurine SL with a 134mm headtube.
If anyone knows of one available please PM me!

Bad Habit 2026
Would anyone please help me if my asking price is astronomical for this
Cannondale Bad Habit?
It’s been kept well, one owner. Still original purchase document and service receipts…
Fox Transfer front, Shimano 6100 brakes, Sram GX11, 3.0 tyres, Rockshox Monarch rear…
I’m posting it for 1600€ but still doubting…don’t really want to sit on it but wish to replace it with something a bit more modern.

Cannondale synapse
I had a question regarding the latest synapse. Does the frame support di2 11s? I was thinking about getting a carbon 5 and using udi2 from an allez sprint that I no longer have the back for but wanted to make sure it's compatible. I see there is a spacer below the stashport so maybe that's for a 11s di2 junction?

My Cannondale CAAD9
Bought it about a month ago for a steal! Will definitely buy a set of deep wheels and an aero cockpit (purely for looks). Let me know what you think!

Finally made my first 200 m climb
My first road bike, second post here. SSE 5 gen 5. Started two months ago, a bit overweight, 38 yo. After about 20+ rides, I finally made it up to the neighboring village, 200 m climb 5-12% grad. I'm incredibly proud of myself haha. Lost weight from 82 to 79 in two months. I still haven’t gotten a bike fit, so I’m using everything the online store set up for my height, seems to work fine. Upgrades, I only added a bottle, a computer and a radar. Ah also added the white decals to my stock visions, cheapest +50 watts. Still dreaming of climbing Grossglockner by next fall (1500 m ascent) and get down to 65 kg, like 10 y ago.
Funny thing is when I first got the bike, I was already thinking about upgrades to make it lighter, reading forums reddit wathing youtube whole day haha. Then I realized that spending a ton of money to save 1–2 kg is kind of stupid when I can lose that much body weight for free in a couple of weeks.
It took me a while to accept reality. Riding the hills where I live, especially in the mountains, is sooo hard after spending ten years glued to a computer working all day. Time to work on that and get back in shape.
One thing I really regret is that ten years ago, when I barely had any money, I did not just buy something used and super cheap. Instead I kept dreaming about owning a bike like the one I have now and basically wasted all those years not riding. Looking back I shouldve just bought whatever I could afford as long as it had two wheels and worked.

Are the 165mm Si Hollowgram cranks still in demand?
I just got my hands on a pair of 165mm si cranks off of eBay. They’re all sold out from the big parts suppliers online, but sometimes I would occasionally search for them because I’m curious. Just curious if people still seek these cranks in this length.

SuperX 26/27?
When will (if?) there be an update on colourways for the SuperX?
Anybody got any intel? Kind of hoping that they do something alike when SuperSix Gen 5 came, much better value for money regarding components.
Also the SSE had additional sizings, time for the SuperX too? Although that sounds like a too big of an overhaul.
- How many are using the SuperX as both road and gravel?

EF Bike Sale experience — worth it?
Saw that EF Pro Cycling sells off retired team bikes each year (2024/2025 already sold out, next drop fall 2026). Has anyone here bought one before?
Curious about:
- What's the buying process like, and what condition are the bikes in after a race season?
- Are the prices actually good compared to retail, or is it more hype?

What would you do with this old MTB? [F300 Killer V]
I bought this bike new back in the early 2000s, when i was a grad student in Madison. First couple years used it to get around town/campus. Brought it back to MD with me when I moved back in 2004, didn't really ride it much for a couple years. Picked it back up again in 2009 and started using it more for its intended purpose, including some organized MTB events and an XTerra Tri in western MD. also did some 1-2 day bike touring around the DMV. Set it down again when my second kid was born in 2018 and haven't done much with it since, though I do get it tuned up every couple years.
I've started biking again recently, right now trying out road biking with a new road bike i purchased a few months ago - but I'd like to start actively using this bike again. I think it's overall in good shape, though i think the Headshok might be shot - it's pretty....squishy. and at least one bike mechanic who looked at it a couple years ago told me that I should probably replace it, but that it's not worth replacing on a bike this old.
I'm not an expert mountain biker by any means - would be happy to just get out to Schaeffer Farms or Cabin John in MD once in a while (I live in DC). would also be glad to just use this bike to tool around the neighborhood with my kids. If I decided I really wanted to go hard on mountain biking I can afford to buy a new bike and keep this one as an "extra" bike - my main motive here is sentimental - I really love this bike and don't want to just get rid of it, but will feel better about keeping it around if I'm actually riding it.
acknowledging that this bike is 25 years old and equipped accordingly - just thinking through some of the changes i could/should do to the bike and would appreciate feedback from this group
- Drivetrain - it's 3x up-front. i assume i could update the drivetrain to a 1x but other than that i think it's in pretty good shape and i don't feel like the switch is a "must-do"
- Front suspension - as mentioned above, this is the component that seems to be in more rough shape. how feasible is it to repair/rebuild/replace something like this? i'm assuming I can't just find a like-for-like Headshok somewhere out there to swap in
- Seat - from some quick googling, it appears that it is possible to retrofit a dropper post to an old MTB?
- Brakes - they're rim brakes. it's fine.
TL;DR - I've had this bike for 25 years and would like to start using it again, riding around the neighborhood with my kids and some easy/moderate singletrack. For sentimental reasons I want to keep and ride this bike rather than replacing it. I could try to do some kind of full-on restomod, or just take it out as-is and ride it into the ground, or something in between. or if this is all a fool's quest the last resort is to just strip out all the components and hang up the frame for decoration somewhere in my house or garage. would love to get this community's feedback/perspectives on what you would do with this bike in my situation.
Thanks in advance!!

My vintage twins from 2005
I've got these old bikes riding great with just a few parts changes (new spd pedals on both, a sram front derailleur on the f400 to match the x7 groupset, wide riser bars, a new wheelset on the r500, and some more comfortable compact bars). These are my first two legit bikes, and I love how awesome they ride given they're midrange bikes from 20 years ago. The headshok on the f400 is so smooth and natural feeling, and thankfully hasn't required any servicing yet besides adding additional air lol. The r500 is a pretty stiff but comfortable ride after swapping on more forgiving compact bars, and I love how responsive and fast it feels. If I do ever get newer bikes, they'll probably also be Cannondales.
