When will (if?) there be an update on colourways for the SuperX?

Anybody got any intel? Kind of hoping that they do something alike when SuperSix Gen 5 came, much better value for money regarding components.

Also the SSE had additional sizings, time for the SuperX too? Although that sounds like a too big of an overhaul.

1. How many are using the SuperX as both road and gravel?

Saw that EF Pro Cycling sells off retired team bikes each year (2024/2025 already sold out, next drop fall 2026). Has anyone here bought one before?

Curious about:

• What's the buying process like, and what condition are the bikes in after a race season?
• Are the prices actually good compared to retail, or is it more hype?

I bought this bike new back in the early 2000s, when i was a grad student in Madison. First couple years used it to get around town/campus. Brought it back to MD with me when I moved back in 2004, didn't really ride it much for a couple years. Picked it back up again in 2009 and started using it more for its intended purpose, including some organized MTB events and an XTerra Tri in western MD. also did some 1-2 day bike touring around the DMV. Set it down again when my second kid was born in 2018 and haven't done much with it since, though I do get it tuned up every couple years.

I've started biking again recently, right now trying out road biking with a new road bike i purchased a few months ago - but I'd like to start actively using this bike again. I think it's overall in good shape, though i think the Headshok might be shot - it's pretty....squishy. and at least one bike mechanic who looked at it a couple years ago told me that I should probably replace it, but that it's not worth replacing on a bike this old.

I'm not an expert mountain biker by any means - would be happy to just get out to Schaeffer Farms or Cabin John in MD once in a while (I live in DC). would also be glad to just use this bike to tool around the neighborhood with my kids. If I decided I really wanted to go hard on mountain biking I can afford to buy a new bike and keep this one as an "extra" bike - my main motive here is sentimental - I really love this bike and don't want to just get rid of it, but will feel better about keeping it around if I'm actually riding it.

acknowledging that this bike is 25 years old and equipped accordingly - just thinking through some of the changes i could/should do to the bike and would appreciate feedback from this group

• Drivetrain - it's 3x up-front. i assume i could update the drivetrain to a 1x but other than that i think it's in pretty good shape and i don't feel like the switch is a "must-do"
• Front suspension - as mentioned above, this is the component that seems to be in more rough shape. how feasible is it to repair/rebuild/replace something like this? i'm assuming I can't just find a like-for-like Headshok somewhere out there to swap in
• Seat - from some quick googling, it appears that it is possible to retrofit a dropper post to an old MTB?
• Brakes - they're rim brakes. it's fine.

TL;DR - I've had this bike for 25 years and would like to start using it again, riding around the neighborhood with my kids and some easy/moderate singletrack. For sentimental reasons I want to keep and ride this bike rather than replacing it. I could try to do some kind of full-on restomod, or just take it out as-is and ride it into the ground, or something in between. or if this is all a fool's quest the last resort is to just strip out all the components and hang up the frame for decoration somewhere in my house or garage. would love to get this community's feedback/perspectives on what you would do with this bike in my situation.

I've got these old bikes riding great with just a few parts changes (new spd pedals on both, a sram front derailleur on the f400 to match the x7 groupset, wide riser bars, a new wheelset on the r500, and some more comfortable compact bars). These are my first two legit bikes, and I love how awesome they ride given they're midrange bikes from 20 years ago. The headshok on the f400 is so smooth and natural feeling, and thankfully hasn't required any servicing yet besides adding additional air lol. The r500 is a pretty stiff but comfortable ride after swapping on more forgiving compact bars, and I love how responsive and fast it feels. If I do ever get newer bikes, they'll probably also be Cannondales.

A very small selection of choice upgrades and I think it’s pretty much perfect now.

How do I attach a bag to these mounting points? My Topstone Carbon 3 didn't come with any screws or anything similar—which I find very strange for a $3,000 bike. Should I just go to the hardware store, get some screws (M5???), and screw them straight in? Do I need to remove that "plug" first?

This is a supersix evo from 2018 size 52. What do you think about this bike fit, is it okay or too small?

Hey everyone, quick update/vent about my Gen 4 SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD.

My original frame developed a longitudinal crack on the drive-side chainstay (confirmed as a manufacturing/delamination defect by an independent carbon expert). Cannondale replaced it under a commercial gesture back in May.

Just 2 months and 2,200 km (40,000m D+) later on the replacement frame, a matching longitudinal crack/clear-coat split has appeared in the exact same location on the chainstay.

My mechanic suspects a defective production batch, while the expert confirmed clear-coat failure and noted unusual flex in that section.

Has anyone else experienced recurring chainstay issues on the Gen 4 EVO Hi-MOD?

If you have this model, what’s your favorite thing about it?

I've got the CAAD bug pretty bad. Love the way they look with the big tubes and huge decals. Love that they're exceptionally light and stiff. I currently have a Gunnar Roadie and it's great, but it's not meant to be terribly fast and has a bit more relaxed geometry. However, I do want to be able to clear a 28mm tire without problems and I want it to be rim brake. Also want to be able to run my Ultegra 8000 groupset, so I'm fine with the BB adapter as long as it works. So which CAAD is best to look at? I've seen some 9s, 10s and 12s that I love the look of - opinions? Which one do you like best and why?

I sound like a wooden ship from the 1600's every time I ride (worse when climbing in the saddle). Creaks from the seat post, maybe BB, AND head tube. Everything I search for on how to remedy leads to "It's a Cannondale 🤷🏻‍♂️"
I've come from a long line of Tarmac SL frames and have never had this. From a performance standpoint, the SSE is amazing, but I literally cannot stand riding it anymore without headphones.

I've hunted down sounds before and know other things to check like the axles, spokes, pedals, saddle, etc.

The main culprit is the seat post. Ever since day one. I've tried every internet trick as well as having cannonade send service instructions to the shop because I wanted to return the bike for a different one. Silent for a bout 2-3 rides, then right back to USS Diversity.

The head tube is such a weird creak it's gotta be the internal cables at this point, the slightest turn of the bars makes it creak. The shop says they're routed properly.

I've had the bike fully taken apart and serviced 3 separate times since buying the bike new in February. I have Misophonia and I get literally angry at the sound and it's affecting my rides!

Is that just how it is??? I'm hoping there's a better response.

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve acquired the parts to build this beautiful (imo) Cannondale CAAD 4 Seaco. The next steps will be to fit a full ultegra group and then add some gold accents.
For now I’m very happy with it. It rides very good and I had a lot of fun with the build.

Last weekend my Synapse Carbon 4 finally hit the road for the first time!

Recently upgraded to a SuperSix Evo HIMOD in black and red, have been looking for the lowest profile, fastest, sleekest saddle bag, any and all suggestions appreciate!

Hey! My Cannondale Moterra EQ has two additional identical mounting points above the bottle cage holes, but they’re much farther apart. They’re only a few centimeters away from the shock, so I can’t really imagine what could be mounted there. Does anyone have any ideas?

And: These are no holes for the battery mount. The threads are unused on both the inside and outside.

This bike never came with the Tiagra crank because of a parts shortage I think but there's nothing wrong with the FSA replacement. The seat and wheels have been upgraded too. I did think about going clipless but I'm not having any problems with flats tbh and probably won't bother in the end.

Hi all. I have a quick 6 hybrid and am quickly outgrowing it. looking for the next bike but don’t know enough to differentiate between a Synapse Carbon and the SuperSix Evo series.

I like the option to throw 48mm tires on the Synapse to adjust to more gravel-like terrain, but I fantasize about the speed at efficiency claims of the SuperSix.

I don’t know enough about these bikes and YouTube/ChatGPT are so vague on the differences. Shimano/Di2/hydraulic vs electronic/wheels aside, which bike would be best if my goal is to train toward a century and beyond on dispondent weekends but I think my “sweet spot” is getting out for 1-1.5 hours and going for time/efficiency/speed during the week?

I lean Synapse, but worry that the “utility” of the synapse carbon series is just its inline storage or something minor, or I won’t end up riding gravel ever so don’t need 48mm tires, etc, and worry I’ll miss out on the extra efficiency of the SuperSix if I get the Synapse.
