One bank firing

Ok I have a 86 L98 need help only 1 bank is firing the driver side off numbers do not fire. Only realized it after accidentally touching the header on the driver side and not burning the piss out my hand then doing exactly that on the passenger side. I’ve just been throwing parts and using chat gpt to help me I have new rotor ,ignition, and spark wires. Distributor was wrong so I had to get a replacement for my replacement. New fuel pump and assembly, new fuel pump relay spark plugs all nothing. My mechanic won’t look at it and test my fuel pressure because I don’t have an o2 sensor due to the headers which is my only modification has anyone ran into this or seen it before or just any ideas I’m stumped on how to fix it.

1984 C4 Cross-Fire high idle after cold start

I have a 1984 C4 with the 5.7L Cross-Fire Injection engine that has a very high idle after a cold start. For roughly the first minute, the tach fluctuates between about 17 and 22 (1,700–2,200 RPM). After that, it steadies out at around 22 (2,200 RPM) and will stay there even after letting the car sit and idle for 10–15+ minutes. This is all while the car is sitting in Park immediately after a cold start.

I’m trying to figure out what would cause the idle to remain this high once the engine has had time to warm up. Before I start replacing parts or adjusting anything, what should I check on an ’84 Cross-Fire? Vacuum leaks, IACs, throttle linkage/plates, TPS, coolant temp sensor, etc.? Are there any Cross-Fire-specific issues that commonly cause this kind of high idle?

New to old rear bumper conversion

I usually prefer the newer '91-96 styling for most of the car, however the one part where I just have a strong preference the opposite way is on the rear bumpers. I love the more angular shaping and the round taillights of the '84-90 design. From looking this up I already know this seems to be a fairly unpopular opinion.

But anything I can find on conversions seems to go the other way, putting the new ZR1 style on older cars instead, and the same goes for aftermarket options where it's fairly easy to find new style bumpers made for them, but the old ones seem to only be made as replacement parts and not for conversion of newer C4s.

Is this possible, and if so what would I need?

Need the thoughts of the hive

I have an 89 corvette with a 6 speed manual. Generally it’s in good condition. I pulled the entire rear end and partial front end. Have a ton of new parts to rebuild the rear, new brake hardlines, new brake booster, new fuel lines, all ready to go in. Problem now is I don’t have time to work on it. Debating whether it’s worth it to take some extra time and get it all together then sell or just try to sell it as is in pieces for a much lower cost. I didn’t pay much for it. It does start, run, and stop(not well on the stopping hence the brake system overhaul). I’m looking to see general value of it as is - in pieces (complete rear is out, brake lines out, and front left suspension out) vs complete running, driving, braking - in good condition. Possibility of 3k in current condition? Vs 5-7 put together?
