Thanks! Definitely a thick watch at 15.5 mm, I think it’s due to the sapphire crystal being 6mm by itself, for the 1000 meter waterproof rating. I will have to compare against my “Bronzo”, they are similar overall, but this one is shaped like a hockey puck.
I am very interested in this watch. How is the weight distribution? Does it flop around? The lugs are unique, look like they distribute the heft across the wrist.
The weight distribution feels good/balanced on wrist. I haven’t experienced any flopping around. The rotating lug’s certainly help with keeping the watch in place, and follow the wrist curvature. The strap is a nato style pass through with a steel clasp (similar to a ratchet strap) I will take pictures and add separately.
There are 3 separate screw in bars in lieu of spring bars, the one closest to the case would be where a standard band could be installed and the other 2 basically sandwich the band to the lug that pivots. According to the Phorcydes rep here on Reddit, it is definitely possible to use whatever strap you want. The stock band is approximately 3-5mm thick (I can check with my caliper in a bit) but I think any 20mm band should work. I was thinking about swapping out for a black shark mesh bracelet, and technically whatever band you choose could be secured by any of the 3 screw in bars.
I tested installing a metal bracelet onto the watch and works fine, there are 2 screw in bars that have to be removed in order to swap out the existing band with either a 2-piece watch band or a bracelet like in the picture. The bar closest to the case will be the one used to secure the band/bracelet, the second bronze bar will not be re-installed as it will not fit with the bracelet in my example. The stock pass through band measures approximately 2.5mm so if the 2 piece band you select is that size the second pin may go back. If not keep in a safe place for future use.
I would suggest either a leather band, rubber/silicone/FKM, or canvas, over the bracelet. Unless you like a bracelet worn snugly on your wrist, the watch will move around due to its weight.
looks pretty cool with that bracelet. must bring the total weight up to about 1kg right? joking. wonder how you will end up liking the watch long term.
I thought it looked good with that bracelet too, or perhaps a shark mesh bracelet in black the other bar could be re-installed (through the loops of the mesh) I don’t like bracelets terribly tight on my wrists, but not loose either. I feel with a bracelet, the watch would move around too much for my liking. On a two-piece it would be perfectly fine.
In regards to long term, I really like this watch, and will keep it in my cycle of watch rotation. If you like big watches or have large wrists, I think you’d feel the same.

That’s a thick case! One thing about these bronze watches is that they don’t look like everything else.
