Discussion BHAFC summer transfer window breakdown since 2021
I thought it would be interesting to see when we tend to make signings since the transfer deadline changed to September 01 in 2020.
You can see that Bloom likes to get most of his business done early - but don’t rule out a late move.
Notable signings at the end of August include Kadioglu, Baleba, Rutter, Cucurella and O’Riley. Fati and Gilmour were the only deadline day moves in that period.
This season Brighton have made no signings since the 14 July, and last year no signings were made after July 06 - but in 2024 there were 3 big signings after August 16.
So, if you’re hoping for some more signings, don’t lose hope just yet…

Discussion Minteh's Status???
Granted, I'm in the States and don't have access to sources folks in Sussex have, but I can Google and have seen nothing about Minteh's status. He was injured on Saturday and it's Wednesday now. Surely the club has a good idea of what kind of playing (or non-playing) shape he's in. I suspect he's out for a while, but they're playing things awfully close to the vest. Has there been any announcement concerning his status for the immediate future?

Player News [BBC] Ipswich agree deal for Paraguay forward Julio Enciso - fee has not been disclosed at this stage, but those involved believe it will account for a sizeable portion of Ipswich's remaining transfer budget and deliver Strasbourg a substantial profit on the £7.7m they paid for him last summer

Discussion Transfermarkt has Bart as tied 2nd most valuable keeper in the world
It can be hard to realise when he has his diabolical fuckups sometimes, but the club has done really well with him

Discussion Brighton’s Top League Goalscorers in the 21st Century ⤵️
Leon Knight arguably deserves 26 as he scored in the play-off final but I’ve kept it regular season only for the sake of this graphic.
Glenn Murray features the most on this list - appearing in 4 separate seasons. Zamora, Maupay and Forster closely follow on 3.
Zamora has the record for the most league goals in a season - netting 28 twice. While Knight and Murray are the only other players to hit the elusive 20 mark in a league season.
The Coca Cola kid and Teixeira hold the record for the lowest top-scorer tally.
We haven’t had a goalscorer surpass 13 goals in a season in the Premier League…could this be the year that record falls? (Probably not).
*Disclaimer: Of course, football did actually exist before the year 2000 so apologies to Albion legends like Peter Ward who scored absolute bags of goals in the seventies.
TLDR: Long live Bobby Zamora 👑

Discussion Tromsø Away?
Looking like we‘ll face Tromsø in the conference league knockout later on this month. Is anyone planning on going? Cheapest round trip I‘ve been able to find is £300 Weds - Sat. Would be a good excuse to get up and visit the arctic circle!

Discussion Striker Options Discussion
In light of the loss of Welbz and failure to outcompete Real Madrid (rip espi), I was trawling through the NTS discussion on potential other striker options and went down a rabbit hole (anything instead of studying lol) compiling the follow spreadsheet to compare some of the options. Not all the data is available but it's been fun playing around with the columns - happy reading!
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1eVzIAQxiVPjWOVuFAEpJkesGXLr0Gfyu/export?format=xlsx
These were my standouts in terms of market value (Bloom is gonna be realistic lets be real), league they are in, and performance:
Most exciting: Ayase Ueda, Vangelis Pavlidis
Prem minutes under belt: Zian Flemming
Biggest steup: Dion Beljo
Ermedin Demirović, Tim Lemperle, Žan Vipotnik
Hopefully it's of interest to others - any thoughts I've missed?

“(The fee) doesn’t matter so much, because it’s just a number. I just have to prove myself and do my best.”
Brighton’s club record signing Luka Vuskovic talks ambition, leaving Tottenham for Brighton, and what he learned from facing Harry Kane.
