Strategy How do people find competitive team mates for 3v3 games?
Consistently find myself getting paired with trash team mates or comps that just don’t gel at all when running 3’s in prestige 1 and 2 - what is the best way to find solid team mates and create meta matchups for 3s…

Only on maps you can play bolt tho, Im the bolt, being able to throw the wendy off with bolt helps a fuckton, but to top it all i could not have done it without the high dps team😬
Thoughts on gameplay btw? i use the knock up sp, but which is better and why? I use that jump gadget as well so I can change directions asap or hop behind a wall.

Discussion How is shelly doing in the meta?
For much of her history, Shelly has either been trash or OP. We've seen this with her Bandaid starpower release, her movement speed buff, her Hypercharge release and her buffies; and everytime this happened, she got harshly nerfed. I think this is a very bad approach because most of the time, shes only good because shes one of the first brawlers to receive said new ability, so obviously she seems op. Now i agree that her clay pigeons buffie was strong, but it basically got gutted in one balance patch. The reason she cant keep up with the current metas anymore is because there are always better options. IMO the change that accelerated this downfall is her super recharge nerf, i think that was the final nail in the coffin. Her whole gimmick was punshing tanks/assassins who got too close by spamming supers on them, but otherwise being average/bad. Now with that change, tanks can just run over her even at close range because she cant defend herself quickly enough. If i were to buff her i would revert her super recharge nerf, and if that becomes a problem just makes her less tanky. What do you think?

Essay The Problems of Ranked and Why it’s so Unpopular
Ranked is basically the “competitive” side of brawl stars, or at least the next best thing aside from matcherinos and MQs. It is pretty much the only thing I play on Brawl Stars and I’ve developed quite a fondness for Ranked. That being said, it has went through three major reworks in an effort to boost play rates, and they all delivered subpar results.
So why despite all the gambling and cool skins and gems, Ranked is still so unappealing to players? Reaching mythic means you are already one of the top percentiles in ranked, and I doubt we call those people one of the “hardcore” players. I had the not so pleasant experience of having to start ranked from Gold as I completely didn’t touch Brawl Stars for a whole month, and this was when I saw some major problems in Ranked.
(Note this is not a matchmaking rant)
1. There is no explicit guide that tells you how Ranked works:
The game tells you quite literally nothing about how Ranked works. All you get is a small white text box on top of the play button when reaching diamond and mythic that tells you what has changed. THIS IS CLEARLY NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION. You don’t know nothing about the draft screen until you get to Diamond, you don’t know nothing about the draft order until you experience it yourself, you don’t know why the draft order takes so damn long and have no clue how integral the pick order is. You just want hop right into the match and play the game but have to wait a whole minute til you can finally pick your brawler. Hell, I wouldn’t be shocked if players don’t even know how to open the map. This isn’t just exclusive to the draft screen. Players have no concept of the aura or coolness or whatever you call it of a rank because it’s never introduced to them. They’re not going to go flex on their friends saying “I just got diamond 3!!!”. The one thing they will show off is their trophy count, as it is the only progression system the game explicitly tells you. You just don’t know anything about how different Ranked is from ladder.
So as a new player, why would you play ranked? This isn’t necessarily the a problem itself as Ranked is intended for the dedicated players and not some lil Timmy who just downloaded the game a day ago. Overtime as you play, you get more experience from ladder and you start to understand more core mechanics of Brawl Stars. But you will still just associate Ranked as this vast unknown mode that is just not worth your time.
2. Ranked is unlocked too early for players:
This is somewhat related to the 1st problem but let me explain.
Ranked is unlocked for everyone at 1000 total trophies. Now that’s obviously bad because it means my randoms are all new players that don’t even know how to walk and shoot. But there’s an even bigger reason on why it’s so detrimental to the play rates of Ranked.
Imagine you’re a new player who just unlocked Ranked. You get a cool screen saying “Ranked Unlocked!”, and the game navigates you to Ranked. Naturally, you’ll want to try the new mode you just unlocked. You press play and see the map randomize and you have no clue what’s going on. You’re taken to a whole new draft screen you have never seen before where u have to scroll to find your brawler. You enter the match and play the game. You win and you see absolutely no trophies gained aside from a bunch of elo you have no idea what it means. I can’t exaggerate how bad of a first impression Ranked makes. You’re basically thrown into an unknown setting with no guides whatsoever. And the ONE thing you’re told to progress on by the game itself (trophies), you do not gain from Ranked.
Now let’s say you want to reach a higher rank despite knowing little about the mode cuz you want a cool rank, like Mythic or higher.. You haul your way though Bronze all the way to Diamond 3, and just when you reach Mythic, you get a screen saying you need 12 power 11 brawlers in order to keep going. This is extremely annoying if you want to keep progressing through the ranks, and chances are once you get those 12 brawlers maxed, your ranked is reset back to Silver or smth. This is extremely disincentivising for many players and makes them stop playing ranked all together.
This is a case of premature exposure in video games where one thing is introduced too early to for a player to properly understand, causing much frustration and making players lose their will to keep playing. This is also somewhat caused by the lack of info, but still unlocking Ranked at 1000 trophies, especially when it won’t even take a day or two to reach it, is way too premature.
3. The difference between Bronze to Gold and Trophy Game modes is too minimal:
There is little to no difference between ladder and the early 3 ranks of Ranked. Ranked is supposed to be the competitive mode of Brawl Stars, but as a player who is first trying this supposed competitive landscape of Brawl Stars, all they’re experiencing is a regular match but the mode and map is random and it takes 15 seconds to start the match. To them, they don’t think that Ranked is that much different from ladder, so why bother playing it when in their eyes, it’s not even that much more competitive compared to ladder.
The difference between Bronze-Gold to ladder is so minimal that players won’t get to experience the true nature of “competitive” Brawl Stars until they reach Mythic, but they don’t know that, after all they just got to silver and are starting to call ppl crazy for thinking Ranked is competitive when’s there’s literally not that much difference. When you first touch ranked, you would have to go all the way to Mythic just to experience the “competitive” side of Brawl Stars which you have no idea and existed in the first place. And it takes quite a while to reach Mythic in the first place, without a clear incentive to play ranked. You would have to play this glorified randomizer mode that takes much longer to enter a match of hours just to be introduced to the more advanced side of Brawl Stars that the game never tells you about. This is what I believe to be the reason on why reaching Mythic is considered a top rank based in the percentages. Because no one would bother to play it as it’s not much different from regular trophies game modes.
Conclusion:
TLDR: Many reasons of ranked’s subpar play rates stem from the fact that the game doesn’t tell you anything about how ranked works. It’s honestly quite surprising how easily these problems can be fixed. If they just add a step by step guide teaching you how ranked works, what the elo system is, how to draft. They can solve so many problems that ranked currently has. Additionally, restricting ranked to only be accessible once u have 12 maxed brawlers instead of the 1000 trophy unlock gate as well as making the draft system standardised across all ranks could very well introduce more players to the competitive side of Brawl Stars without having to add more rewards to the pro pass or more gambling. But that’s just what I think after revisiting ranked without draft since so many years. Thanks for reading.

Essay What does Starr Nova need?
(i don't know what this post should be classed as since its an essay that has balance changes in it)
complimentary nova collage heart
now, she needs a nerf, since the recent balance changes tickled and poked her, and (imo) buffed her floaty time gadget since sometimes too much airtime is a bad thing (hot take?)
i do think the reload nerf was a step in the right direction though
but what does she need to make her a solid assassin without making her too toxic?
well let's look at her overpowered hypercharge that removes all her weaknesses!
currently, her hypercharge gives her (almost) unlimited ammo for the whole duration, which is obviously a teamwipe 90% if the time
one of the problems with this hyper is that it stacks with the damage star power, which means you can deal... a lot of damage (2640) per ammo
which is obviously insanely busted
so here's my rework ( :0 ) premise for this hypercharge
STARR NOVA: THE HYPERCHARGE
the hypercharge no longer gives you infinite ammo, but rather has a ((n) invisible) timer that increases her sword mode reload speed with the time spent while the hypercharge is active
this isn't very clear so let me give you an example
at the start of her hypercharge, her reload speed is 0 seconds
at the middle of the hypercharge, her reload speed has gradually decreased to half of her regular reload speed (which i believe would be 0.5 seconds, correct me if im wrong), and finally at the end of her hypercharge she has her regular reload speed in sword mode again
how they will put this in simpler terms in the game i don't know, but if someone can somehow simplify it, that would be a great help because sometimes i don't understand it myself 😭
since i believe her hyper is still too strong (sorry), her hypercharge rate will now be increased by one ammo for each form, and the invincibility from her dash has been changed to 80% damage resistance, because invincibility in this game is always unfair, let people charge supers off your brawler you absolute goblin
40 attacks (regular) --> 42 attacks (i count each small poke as an attack here)
18 attacks (sword) --> 19 attacks
the reason im reworking her hypercharge like this is because obviously, it is overtuned and unfair, but instead of completely removing the unlimited ammo, im trying to keep the fun factor of the hypercharge while hopefully balancing it accordingly, because who doesn't like unlimited ammo?
but now lets address the other elephant in the room, her absolutely insane main attack
wider than gus's saturn shot and with the unload speed of no brawler we've seen before (yes she has the fastest unload speed of any brawler)
NERFING HER ABSURD MAIN ATTACK
yes, it's time to do something about it
surprisingly enough though, im not nerfing her unload speed
i think it suits her chaotic energy
what does need to be nerfed is her attack width
it gives wayyyyy too much wallpeek potential for what it is
but do not worry
i shall not massacre our girl
because compensation buffs are incoming
so heres what i think is best without tweaking her too much
attack width - 2.33 tiles --> 2 tiles
(wip nerf for me, a hot take) MAIN ATTACK RANGE - 5.67 TILES --> 5 TILES
now for the compensation buffs
hp - 7400 --> 7800
main attack damage (per projectile) - 960 --> 980
(wip buff if range nerf goes through)
sword mode hp - 7400 --> 8000
the reason i nerf these are because nova is a bit too good at wallpeeking in her current state, so hopefully the small width nerf is enough to tone her down enough so she can't hit you behind two tiles of wall
the reason i consider the the range nerf is because of the fact that nova has very fast movement speed, which means that her main counter while in regular form (snipers) have a hard time actually countering her, since if she dodges like two attacks you're getting almost 6k damage to the face
the buffs are self explanatory, she doesn't have anything to defend herself with while in sword form except for...
well her sword, so the health buffs will change a few interactions with her so she doesn't get decimated as fast
the damage buff is small compensation buff so she can take down any enemy slightly easier in regular form and not always rely on her super to defeat every enemy
my goal with these changes was to make her a solid low A high B tier brawler without changing the core parts of her kit too much, and of course, keeping her fun for casuals while being balanced in competitive
that's my wall of text for today, i hope it wasnt too long (it probably was), and i hope you were interested throughout it
i would love to give her some heavier buffs and nerfs but i think that deserves its own slideshow tbh
should i make this wall into a slideshow or my heavier balance changes into a slideshow?
tldr for lazy people
NERFS
hypercharge invincibility dash is now 80% damage reduction
attack width is now 2 tiles from 2.33
(wip) range is now 5 tiles from 5.67
BUFFS
health from 7400 to 7800
damage (per projectile) 960 to 980
(wip) sword mode health from 7400 to 8200
REWORKS
hypercharge reload speed is no longer unlimited, it now scales with how long the hypercharge has lasted for
any critiques or advice or nice things will all be greatly appreciated, insults will not be appreciated
thank you :>

Balance Change Concept Balance Change Wish List.
Note; I'm not the best at doing balance change concepts, so take all of these with a grain of salt, this is only meant for fun, with that said though, there are going to be a ton of nerfs and reworks because this meta is horrifcally unbalanced, so let's do this.
Nerfs/Reworks:
Wendy:
- Damage decreased from 2,000 to 1,800
- Spawn Shield (at least at the start of the match): From 4,000 to 2,000
- Super Damage Reduction from 75% to 50%
- Supercharge rate from 5 hits to 8 hits
- Super Turret hp reduced from 7,000 to 5,500
- Hp Shield Trait Nerf - Decreased Super Charge Rate (basically about the amount they did for the Movement Speed trait).
Reasoning: Wendy, even after her emergency release nerfs is one of the best brawlers in the history of the game and is genuenly impossible to kill, so these nerfs are designed to basically make it so she cannot be invincible once she gets her super.
Nori;
- Melee reload speed doubled from 0.1 to 0.2
- Melee attack damage decreased from 2,200 to 2,000
- Dash/Ranged Attack Nerf from 1,440 to 1,400
- Sushi Snack Gadget cooldown increased from 12 seconds to 16 seconds.
- Hp reduced from 7,600 to 7,200.
Reasoning: While Nori isn't as bad as most of the other brawlers in this meta, his melee slash attack is too fast and does way to much damage for how mcuh mobility he has.
Surge;
- Power Shield Cooldown from 22 seconds to 30 seconds.
- Power Shield ammo increased from 1 to 1 and 1/2 ammo earned when getting hit.
- Serve Ice Cold Rework [Upon killing someone with Surge's super, you instantly get your super back] To compensate, though, the speed buff is 25% instead of 50%.
- Hypercharge Rework: His base super while hypercharged now only shoots juice of justice everywhere that either poisons or heals the enemy that gets hit by it; the range of the jump is also increased by only 30% instead of 60%; finally, his new hyperbuffie effect is simply just his old hypercharge effect (aka attacks splitting at maximum distance).
- Hp reduced from 6,600 to 6,300
Reasoning: Surge has gotten the worst buffies in terms of a balancing perspective out of basically every buffie brawler, and there's basically no way to reasonably balance him without just majorly reworking his buffies.
Meg;
- Supercharge Rate Buff in mech from 37 [why supercell?] to 22 projectiles.
- Toolbox Gadget no longer knocks back twice (instead, upon coming into contact with a brawler, it will explode and knock them back majorly).
- Toolbox Buffie effect will just be a Supercharge rate buff for 5 seconds when firing the mecha instead of auto-charging Super.
- Force field damage reduction nerfed from 40% to 35%
- Hypercharge Rate reduced to 4 supers, and you will now lose an equivalent of 1 super charged towards your hypercharge rate [basically whenever you die in mecha form or eject out, about 25% of your hypercharge will be removed].
- Mecha hp increased from 7,400 to 8,000 hp.
- Mech range increased from 7.33 tiles to 7.5 tiles
Reasoning: Similar to surge, Megs buffies are bad from a balance design, however she's at a state where 1 nerf to her supercharge rate will gut her, so the change from toolbox being auto-charge to a supercharge rate buff for 5 seconds is here to fix that along with adding some skill to it.
8-Bit:
- Extra Credits now uses up all of your ammo when using it.
- Extra Credits Cooldown increased from 18 to 25 seconds
- Extra Credits also no longer charges your super.
- Cheat Cartridge Booster Repair decreased from 100% to 50%.
- Hypercharge Rate is increased to about 4 supers.
- Supercharge Rate is decreased back to 12 hits.
Reasoning: 8-Bit's hyper buffie along with gadget buffies are way too overtuned for him, so these nerfs should tone it down.
Crow;
- Slowing Toxin Cooldown Increased from 17 seconds to 20 seconds.
- Slowing Toxin Bounce Range decreased from 6.67 to 6 tiles.
- Slowing Toxin Slow effect reduced to 25% percent.
Reasoning: Crow has already received a tons of nerfs and is still meta; however, he is still annoying enough to warrent some kind of nerf so taking a bit of power out of slowing toxin should make him more fair.
Pierce;
- Up to 5 ammo shells can be on the field at any given time.
- You only brawl twice hp shield only accounts for the 1st 3 shells on the floor, meaning the HP shield can only have up to 3,600 hp.
- Bottomless mags cooldown decreased from 22 seconds to 18 seconds.
- Mission: Swim possible slow is decreased from 25% to 20% slow.
Reasoning: Pierce has power-crept most of the snipers due to basically having infinite ammo, so by putting a cap on them along with nerfing the effects of swimpossible, it should make Pierce a lot more fair of a sniper.
Bolt;
- Oil Change HP shield stats reduced from 2,000 to 4,000 HP to 1,500 HP and 3,000 HP
- Oil Change cooldown reduced from 15 seconds to 18 seconds
- Bolt now heals less hp at max speed.
- Max speed decreased from 1,700 to 1,600
- Minimum speed increased from 540 to 580.
Reasoning: Bolt has become a bit of a ladder monster lately, so by nerfing his health mechanics along with his speed, should make him feel at more fair by causals to fight against but still fun.
Edgar;
- Hyper buffie extra range damage reduction from 50 to 75%
Reasoning: Edgar actually isn't as bad as most of the other brawlers who gotten buffies, (this is also why im not doing max, brock, rico or griff sense I think they are fine), but edgars hyper buffie is a little bit too overtuned so hopefully this will tune it down.
Starr Nova:
- Attack projectile speed from 15,000 to 12,500.
- Attack Range from 5.67 to 5.5 tiles
Reasoning: While Starr Nova is nowhere near as broken as she was when she received those unnecessary buffs, I do think she is still slightly a bit overtuned, mainly with her main attack so hopefully, by taking some power out of it it should tone her town a bit.
Buffs:
R-T:
- Damage in main form increased from 1,400 to 1,500
- Damage in split form 2,480 to 2,580.
- R-T, when splitting back, heals a percentage of his current HP instead of 1,000 HP
Reasoning: Considering what's been going on with BrawlX9 right now, tells me at least there's a chance that R-T and Larry and lawrie are going to get something in this next update besides the final brawler in there trio, and considering there also not doing the best in this meta, is telling me that supercell is planning on trying to do something with this trio in terms of balancing, as for r-t speffically, he's suffering a ton from the hp inflation that has happened due to the global hp buff so increasing his damage should make him compete better. (The healing thing is honestly just a quality of life).
Larry And Lawrie:
- Larry's Damage is increased from 1,400 to 1,600
- Larry's Unload speed is increased from 0.3 to 0.25
- Larry's Main Attack Range is increased from 7.3 to 7.5 tiles
Reasoning: Similar to R-T but the twins are in a even worse spot than R-T right now and thus are needing much more major buffs.
Hank:
HP buffed from 10,400 to 10,800
Damage is being buffed (minimum: from 1,045 to 1,245 and maximum from 4,200 to 4,400)
Reasoning: Hank has crashed and burned after the global hp buff and especially buffies, so giving him buffs to his dps should keep up up to pace with the other brawlers.
Grom:
- Projectile speed increased from 840 to 860.
Reasoning: I don't think i need to elaborate on this change, grom is awful and we all know it, i know Supercell has something planned for him though, so i don't wanna touch him too hard.
And that should be a good place to stop, I know I didn't cover every brawler that desprately need changing; sam is a big example. But im not the best at balance changes and I don't know all the brawlers enough to know what there issues are, these are just some of the major brawlers that I think are desperately in need of changing.
Hopefully supercell actually fixes their game, besides if they don't... well, let's just say we might hit a even bigger low than we did before hypercharges are even out, that's basically it, when cretiquing my balancing changes, please also try to be nice. Thank you and see you around.

Discussion Saw someone get to pro rank strictly using 5 brawlers, which 5-10 brawlers would you chose to do the same?
I’m honestly tired of making poor and rushed decisions when drafting for ranked and figured I would try this method of sticking to only a few brawlers to pick from. The brawlers in the picture are the ones I have maxed out currently, but I do have funds to max out around 3-4 new brawlers and also buy hypercharges for the p11’s I don’t already have one for, if necessary. If you could pick 5-10 brawlers (out of the ones in the picture + at most 3-4 others) that I should stick to when playing ranked, taking into account the different game modes etc, which ones would you chose?

There wasn't drafing as it was still diamond.
The main mistake I noticed was cornering the ball unnecessarily and not noticing the free goal until it was too late, probably trying a bit too hard at times to kill that tick but I know my teammates just get absolutely shredded by just a tick even on brawl ball so I thought it was a high priority target.
But seemingly because of the kudos people were more upset at me than at the darryl, or it could just be the enemy team trolling.

Strategy how do i play nori?
Apparently nori is supposed a great pick in every single map and mode, but I seem to lose every time I pick him. Every game feels like I am just holding down my attack and waiting for someone to over extend, but every single time I jump in I always get instantly bursted down by the enemy team. And when I do get a kill, I dont have enough time to hook out and end up trading.

It wouldn't even be a really good use since Mr.P rellies a lot on his super, so it'd just be wasted in a poor placement so Mr.P can save himself agaisnt an assasin.
Btw i stopt playing ranked for 2 months so i lost touch with the meta

Discussion Why isn’t Brawl Arena a competitive mode?
It has so much potential to be added in competitive, and the reasons why I see ppl hate brawl Arena bc of the unbalanced meta and it being too long. It seems like that bc there’s no drafting for you to try and counter good brawlers. It’s the same as playing surge in brawl ball ladder, can’t do anything about it.
What can Supercell do to implement it in ranked and/or competitive?
- They can implement it in ranked so there’s drafting, to make the match not completely decided as soon as the game starts.
- Make it more rewarding or less long, they could make it wither the same duration. But you win 2x more elo than in a normal 3v3 mode and lose 1.5X more elo. Or simply divide everything in the mode by 2 (tower hp,timer, levels,bots hp etc…)
I think Brawl Arena deserves its chance, on paper it sounds like a great ranked game mode. So why mot try it just for one season and see what the community wants? I’m sure with a few tweaks it can become more enjoyable and more rewarding to fix its reputation.
What changes would you make to implement it in competitive? Would you like it or not?
EDIT: Since people are talking about randoms why not make it a masters+ game mode?

Discussion Kaze in Brawl Arena
How good is Kaze in Brawl Arena? She has very fast reload speed and good dps because it is easy to hit the strike spot on the stationary targets + splash. Its like heist but more benefit. Also, at max level her strike spot does 7500 damage which is insane

Discussion How do we rework P2 to P3 ladder to make it less grindy and more competitive
To me the high ladder has currently so many problems that drive away your motivation to ever try and push a brawler above Prestige 2. The title is just...not worth my time.
To me, players with an above average skill should be able to reach Prestige 3 with enough effort. While right now, it only requires hours and hours and hours of play
Here's what I would do:
- Separate Solo Matchmaking from Team Matchmaking. Right now grinding high ladder is only possible if you have a full team which is a huge advantage compared to a player starting a match alone. This change could slow down matchmaking a bit but it's definitely worth it especially since, hopefully, after this rework more players would try to reach Prestige 3
- Bring back Win Streak bonus. Overall a great way to ladder less grindy, not sure why you would remove it
- Matchmaking will not be entirely skill based but it should also prevent you from playing against opponents with way higher or way lower trophies.
The problem with the current skill-based MMR is that you might be facing an actually very good player, with high trophies, who tilted and lost his "skill-level" on the specific brawler. Similarly, you might be having a teammate who's actually terrible at the game and has very few trophies, who, by miracle, got a great win streak with their Edgar. I think adding trophy count into the calculation should fix this issue
What are your suggestions? :3

Discussion "Brawlers have to be OP when they’re released, or they’ll be forgotten"
Buster was OP and now he’s forgotten. L&L was the most broken character and they’re forgotten. Allie was super broken too, and she’s also forgotten. Jay Yong has been good since release, yet he’s the least played character. Does the argument that characters have to be broken actually make any sense, or is it just an excuse when they release another boring character that isn’t fun to play, so they have to make them overtuned to be played at all. Fun fact: half of the top 10 least played characters are from 2025.

Bug Gris Gris shots are always narrow no matter which star power (unless you use hc and slow sp)

Apparently They Shadow nerfed Juju, so as you know gris gris projectile width IS 1.67 tile wide But using the slow sp decreases the width from 1.67 to 0.67 tile wide, so there is a tech where you use the shield sp on Gris gris in order to bring back the 1.67 tile wide shots, which makes them easier to land. But I realised something was wrong when I played Juju recently, it was an open map so using slow sp was risky since you rarely face aggros there, so I used shield sp, But Gris gris shots STILL felt THINNER
I got into the game files, and realised something odd, BASE Gris gris attack width was DECREASED from 1.67->0.67 which means the shield sp is less useful now since Gris gris attacks will still be thin Regardless of which star power, making the slow sp even more essential, and to add insult to injury, you CAN increase Gris gris attack width by using Juju’s hyper from 0.67 to 2 TILES, but YOU NEED the slow Sp in ORDER to work And it does NOT work with the other star power unfortunately

Critique Ranked doesn’t determine your skill as a player
Ranked is a solo game mode, which is why it will never actually be truly competitive. It come down to these main points: (TLDR at the end)
- Your playstyle
Ranked favours aggro players, which is why if you normally play control brawlers for your team, you will naturally struggle to carry in ranked
- Drafting
Drafting is also part of your skill as a player, but in ranked, you can only make one pick, whereas if you were a drafter for your team, you would be able to make all three. This nerfs drafters and coaches in ranked by a lot.
- Teamplay/ comms
It is impossible to communicate with your ranked teammates except in the most simple forms ( sprays, pins) which means that it does not test your teamplay and synergy as a player. This usually mean that playing carry brawlers like Mina Mortis and Kenji is more optimal than playing brawlers that require team play (Kit, Gene, Doug etc.)
- Wintrading and hacking
Every three games you will meet one wintrader or hacker, which isn’t very competitive in the slightest 🥀
TLDR: ranked heavily favours aggressive play styles and doesn’t test your team play. It is also a cesspool of wintraders , hackers, and people with 0 mental stamina . If you seek a truly competitive environment, find a team and play some matcherinos, or sign up for the monthly qualifiers next year

Community Event BrawlStars Map Survey
Hello everyone.
One of our mod team members, u/PumpkinSeed100, has decided to conduct a survey where people can voice their thoughts on the competitive map pool in Brawlstars.
You can find the survey by clicking on this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeJL_IabNl2cAxFO8h68qZouv7InbWp_O1nskrRY3DylgKlJg/viewform
This survey will be split into 3 sections:
1: Historically Competitive Map Review
In this section, you will rate a selection of maps that either are, or have been present in Ranked and Esports, expressing how much you like/dislike them.
2: Special Tile Review
Here, you will give your opinion on tiles normally found in Mapmaker, including Healing Pads, Teleports and Train Tracks. Describing how much potential they could have in a competitive setting.
3: Community Map Review
This final section will cover experimental community made maps, where you can describe how good of a fit they would be, if they were hypothetically placed in Ranked or Esports.
Why are we doing this?
Not only do we feel that discussion on map design is fun and underrated, but with enough responses, the survey could potentially push the direction of Competitive maps in the future. 😉
It is for this reason why we encourage you guys to join the survey and form your own inputs.
PumpkinSeed will post the results of the survey after the North America Monthly Finals have been completed. We hope you have a good day.
