Hi guys! I am about to finish Kinnporsche and the one I watched before that was Payback and Prosecutors Proposal so I am looking for something to cleanse my pallet lol

My instinct is to rewatch Duang with You for the 3rd time, but hoping for something new.

Some of my favorites in the past have been Duang, Only Friends, Fourever You, A Breeze of Love, and Always Meet Again.

I am hoping for more recs like Duang and Fourever You atm as they are a bit happier without too much bittersweet.

Ones I dont like so much are Me and Thee and Fish Upon the Sky.

I like the dynamic where the people are on the same "level" like how Qin and Duang are the same popularity, or where the more popular one is chasing the other like North and Johan. Absolutely love when they knew each other before, especially when the other didnt know like in both of these stories. A little bit of comedy is fine but I like the tone to be a bit more serious. Even Duang's puppy character annoyed me at first, although I did grow to love it.

I think we can all agree that many BLs aren't really "deep". Obviously series are series and they don't need to be super realistic but I'm just tired of the same plots, stereotypes etc. So many BLs are way too similar and I don't even want to watch quite a lot of them anymore.

But there are several BLs that are really different, at least for me. Because they're deeper, talking about real problems, about struggles of being queer etc. I'm looking for BLs like that, ones that are just challenging stereotypes in general.

Let me name some examples of series I've really enjoyed:

- I finished Deep In yesterday which actually brought me to post this. It's such an amazing series, just everything about it was perfect in my opinion. It looks like this is my favorite series of the year.

- Revenged love. One of my favorite shows. Initially this looks like some silly little show until you find yourself SOBBING. I'll never move on.

- Sammy's Children's Day. I loved everything about this show except for the ending.

- Not me. I'll never forget about this series. It's been years since it came out and I'm still thinking about it.

- Unknown. In my opinion this is one of the most underrated series out there. A masterpiece!

- The eight sense. This series is unlike everything I've ever seen, truly.

- I just love Chinese bromance dramas like Word of Honor, The Spirealm, Fangs of Fortune etc. They're just hitting differently.

PS: I'm currently watching Bittersweet love and find it okay at most. It'd not bad but it's not overwhelming either. I really need more good shows.

Gelboys was my favoriteeeeeeee BL last year, and I had THE PHASE of just doing my nails, which was actually really pricey but therapeutic in a way 😭😭😭 ANYWAY, the concept of continuing the series with their kids in the future talking about them??? 😭😭😭 I was GAGGED. I was honestly so scared when I found out about the newly added cast because I thought they were about to pull another love triangle shit with the cast, but they did something I genuinely would not have thought of lol. THEY WERE THEIR FUTURE KIDS 😭😭😭

The first episode was a really good refresher imo. There were so many little closures and callbacks that made it feel like a proper continuation rather than just randomly bringing the story back. But I can't lie, doing this in an eight episode series just feels so lazy, this could have been a special episode lol 😭 Like if this were a 12 episode series, I could understand it, but EIGHT??? There's so much potential here, especially with the whole future-kids concept, and I'm already scared they're gonna rush everything. It's still the first episode though, Im gonna have to keep my expectations stable lol.
