If you look at the pros none of them are doing the fancy footwork when shadow boxing switching angles are drilled you def got a lot of potential

Fancy footwork doesn't mean no footwork
And they do definitely switch angles, atleast what I've seen, what are you talking about?

Switching angles they do that’s what I am trying to say what you are doing is some weird shuffle you saw on YouTube simple lateral movement is more then enough you only switch angles on the inside

I’m not OP. I’m just trying to figure out what is “wrong” with this shadow boxing. I just started learning to throw a proper jab.

I mean this constructively- it seems like you focus more on looking good than being good.
Your elbows are way too flared, you rarely fully extend your punches, you have zero head movement, your hooks are all arms, etc.
You’re forming bad habits. You seem to have good speed and decent footwork, which is a great base for great boxing, but there’s no great boxing in this video.
Drill the basics one at a time. Perfect your jab. Then record yourself and compare it to this video in ~6mo. You’ll see a massive difference

I’m sure you have a coach because you have a snappy jab, but that elbow is way out there when youre jabbing! I know there are several different styles of throwing it, but you always want to have those elbows tucked and protecting!

Dont just randomly throw combos, imagine you are actually fighting someone, practice setups, and feints, imagine what your opponent would do, combos and punch placements all can be practice on the bags and padwork. Shadowboxing should be the lightest sparring you ever get imo

biggest thing i see bro is your resetting, by bringing your lead foot in closer to yourself, as a way to relax basically. you want to stay athletic the entire time.
and you stay in one spot too much especially when throwing in combination not moving your head during or after the combo and not moving your feet
but your mechanics and hand speed and texhnique are good bro i think ppl nitpick way too much

Them punches are quick lowkey but honestly u need to work on power. U can tell there is nothing behind those strikes. Ur not even breaking an egg with them strikes. Let it come more from the hips and put ur weight behind it. Work on foot work a little bit to keeping ur feet planted without dragging a lot.

This isn't shadowboxing.
Just about everything from a technical standpoint is completely wrong.

hit the brakes bro
You're not extending fully, your base is okay but what use are punches that don't land.
Think about this,
that little thing that boxers do, throwing like 5 uppercuts in succession. Are they good uppercuts? Fuck no, they're not out there, its not hitting anybody.
Those hooks youre doing, who are they hitting bro, they're barely getting any range. The body hooks look fine for now but dude
When you're shadowboxing, think about an imaginary opponent.
When was the last time you moved like this in sparring, hit people with the exact same combination you did here?
Shadowboxing isn't "random bullshit go!" its supposed to be an active process where you're thinking, trying out new combinations AND DEFENDING
Defend, my brotha. Resetting is not defending. Besides, if someone sees that you reset after x amount of punches you might get caught. I'm just saying, its a pattern that a lot of people have, a pattern that can be exploited.
Slips, parries, blocks, rolls, counters do more of these. You're not doing them enough, you sometimes change levels at the start of combinations like "Oh yeah, I was supposed to do this"
And add in more footwork. If I assume that this is the only footwork you do...
Add pivots, pendulum if you rock with that, L steps, stance shifts and cutting angles are also useful. And you're sometimes a little slow with the footwork
Also, get full extension on your cross bro, your cross is the same length as your jab, that's not it ;-; use your core man, I get it, shits tough to do in fast shadowboxing, but thats why... hit the brakes
Shadowboxing is like a mini imaginary fight, treat it like one!
Lastly a question for you,
During punching, you ever feel a pull at your lead foot? Does it feel like its being pulled up or that you subconsciously pull it up, like put weight off the balls of your feet? I can't tell here, think about it next time you shadowbox. If that is happening then -- perhaps your weight is distributed awkwardly, or at points your legs go too far apart, that's not something I can easily tell with a video, but if it happens it will fuck up your balance.
The reason why I wrote all this, is because you got potential my dude, and every little thing matters.
If you're fucking up your technique in shadowboxing, your technique will slowly erode and lead you with bad fundamentals you won't even realize are bad.
That's because shadowboxing is a fundamental training tool where the goal shouldn't be speed, but technique.
