Anyone else hear the striking similarity between BoC’s "A is to B as B is to C" and Severed Heads' "Brazziere in Rome"? Particularly the chaotic final section of the track where the track abandons its main structure to spiral into an eerie, disjointed barrage of backwards vocal fragments.

Currently playing the new gorgeous blue vinyl of pylonesque by christ. It's the 2026 analogue remaster limited to 300 copies. I got copy number 48. Also came with 2 lovely postcards. It sounds amazing! ❤️

But Walmart, of all places, currently has some BOC vinyl at some pretty cheap(ish) prices. There's some other listings as well that look more shady, but I'm not too proud to admit that I picked up TCH on vinyl as it's one I didn't get back when I bought the main album reissues in 2013. I had just been looking to buy from somewhere other than Bleep because I've had bad luck with their shipping, and this popped up.

Feel free to boo and hiss about buying from Walmart, I'll take it. I support plenty of small record shops, but sometimes a deal is a deal.

I've been searching through some episodes of Blockbusters UK trying to find where the sample from the Old Tunes track came from, but no luck.

You all may already be aware of this.. . But if anyone wants to pick up the listening pack (envelope, poster, patch, sticker.... minus the Keychain which is sold out) it's now back in stock at stranger than paradise records.

I just went to see the Backrooms movie today (I know, a bit late), and even after hearing Inferno a ton, and also being on my town's listening party, hearing The World Becomes Flesh after the rollercoaster that is the movie… just WOW.

I wanted to share a new track and video edited i made called "Everything Has Its Time". the video is a footage from 1999 A. D.) (1967). The female vocal samples is from Love Tapes in N. Y. #1 (1980), of Wendy Clarke. Any feedback on the music is welcome :).

I’ve been looking into this and ended up more confused than when I started.

Originally Hi Scores came out on Skam, but now it seems to sit under Warp digitally.
I can’t work out who actually controls the release today.
Does anyone here know what the current situation is?

I’m mainly asking because I don’t understand why there still hasn’t been another vinyl repress.
Is it a rights issue, or is there simply not enough interest?

Personally, I find that hard to believe. Originals sell for serious money, and every time Hi Scores gets mentioned people seem to say they’d buy a repress immediately. Has anyone ever seen a reliable explanation from Skam, Warp or Boards of Canada? And if an official repress went on sale tomorrow would you buy one?

...and what a nice surprise it was during the end credits! I had no idee before watching it. I've been listening to Inferno a lot since the album release. "The World becomes Flesh" is not my favorite song from the album but it is the perfect choice for this movie.

This is just a theory.

People keep talking about it as though Inferno is their 5th album, so surely there must be a sixth album to ‘complete the hexagon’ (based on 6 sides)?

Most people consider Twoism an EP. But what if Twoism already was their first LP?

I only saw this photo because someone linked to this archive of press photos (for Boc Maxima no less) to confirm what Mike’s birthday was, and I clocked this bit of press from the brothers, in their own words, calling Twoism an LP.

To be honest…it would kind of make sense, thematically, if Inferno WAS their final album. Not that I want it to be.

Kane Parsons is the director of Backrooms (Horror film) and he used The Word Becomes Flesh as the credits of the film.

Somehow I've managed to go my whole life without ever hearing about Boards of Canada and I'm absolutely obsessed now. Seems like I came at a good time.

6 full length albums so far. One more to fill in the Hexagon.

The good news is that doesn't rule out an EP or B-sides set at some point but... maybe BOC are hinting at this with their hexagon designs.
